We drove an hour and a half to this smog check place in Baker since one of our cars is still registered in California. It was not a bad of a drive from Vegas and the service was quick! It probably took us a good 10 minutes total and not as busy as I thought it would be. Although this location only opens on Saturday, it was better than driving further away. They only take cash and we paid $80 for our smog check. I would recommend this place for those who are moving to Vegas and still need to get their Cali stuff done. Not much in the area but Mad Greek Cafe is always a good spot to eat! Followed by some Alien Jerky and Lottery tickets lol. Happy servicing Yelpers! read more

Demetrio, the man that operates this station, is a true professional. Courteous, quick and pleasant on every level. There was a line of cars on the Saturday I went and he greeted everyone in a friendly manner, worked past his closing time and told people "no problem" and was just an all around nice person. Made it incredibly easy to get my car smogged and registered. read more

Was a quick great experience! Having a vehicle that needed a smog living in NV and reg is Cali didn't want to drive super far it was nice that he opens on Saturdays for these services! read more

Always happy to have this open for Vegas people trying to save money on California insurance

Absolutely amazing service! Really nice guy he's the perfect alternative if you live in Vegas but cars registered in CA. The ride there was actually therapeutic a little over an hour and there's some nice bites to grab before heading back! Price $80 cash which saved me a lot of time and money driving all the way home to my home town. HIGHLY recommended I will happily be returning! read more

No complaints. Drove in from Vegas, arrived around noon. Only one person ahead of me, took about 10 mins until my last turn and another 15 to complete my own smog. I wish it would've taken longer, I wasn't ready to drive back yet lol Highly recommend read more

Wow this place is exceptional as far as smogs go. Thank you sir see u in 2 years!! Mr Saturday!!

Nice employee! Very convenient if you need your California registration but don't want to drive to Barstow or LA.

Took my vehicle in last minute. You could tell he was super busy yet he was still able to fit us in and get us in and out in no time! In times like this with everybody stressed out, he was as calm and professional as could be. Honestly one of the nicest, most kind hearted man I have ever met!! Here are the basics: only open Saturdays, opens at 9am but get there early because guess what: you're not the only one needing a smog, bring cash and be prepared: have paperwork in hand and it'll all go quick & easy. This is a test only facility so make sure your hooptie is in good working order (I.e. your check engine light isn't on) Cost w/certificate: $80 clams. read more

Super quick, easy to find, perfect if you need a Sat trip for a smog check from Vegas! Most if not, all are closed. Took about 1.5hrs to get to and the guy is pretty nice. He also suggested that the Mad Greek cafe was really good, he was right! Great grub for the ride read more

This place is definitely worth driving for anyone that lives in Vegas but needs a smog check under California state. I was kind of hesitant on going here to get my smog check but this place is actually legit. Anyone that lives in Vegas and needs a smog in Cali this is the closest place, although the price is a lot more expensive than other places it's better than having to drive deep in California. It's about 1.5 hour away from Vegas. read more

What a great benefit for locals and people passing on way to Las Vegas or on way back..... if a DMV Opens in Baker - this will be the ice on the cake !! read more

My car is registered in California, but I stay in Vegas. So this was the closest smog check in California. At first it was a little odd, it's basically an empty building with a quiet man inside. He checks your car with a full point visual inspection which I appreciated. It's very pricey for a smog check, but I didn't want to drive any further. read more

Great smog check experience, will recommend and do the drive from Las Vegas as needed!

Not only was the service super quick but the owner was the one who helped me out and talk about customer service, he was so polite! I always dread getting a smog check (especially if you live in vegas but have your car registered in cali) but this place is a game changer. Its about a hour and a half drive from vegas and is extremely quick and convenient stop. I think for the price you get what you pay for and more. Love this place and will be recommending anyone in my area to come here. read more

Only open on Saturdays. Which is perfect. Drove from Vegas to get my car smog. Very convenient. Fast and friendly service. Now if Baker would to have a small DMV open on Saturdays too! read more

I was in and out with a quickness! Definitely a higher price than your normal smog check, but this guy has cornered the market on those of us from Cali living in Vegas. Meaning, those of us who don't want to drive all the way to OC or LA and don't want to change up our out of state plates. Friendly enough and had a small waiting area. read more

Great place to get your smog check if you live in Vegas but your car is registered in CA. It's a little over an hour drive and easy to find. I was in and out in 20 minutes and it only took that long because another person pulled up right before me so I had to wait 10 minutes. The cost of the smog was $80 and although other reviewers noted that the cost is a little high compared to other places, it's totally worth it to not have to drive further to Barstow or Needles to get it done. read more

Quick, easy, worth the hour drive from vegas. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. I was the first one there when he opened. No non-sense, just a polite guy and his smog check business. read more
