The tech spent no more than 10 minutes at my house and charged an additional $200+ just to change the fuse, which he claimed was the problem. I was out of town at the time and was told by my dog sitters that the furnace stopped working again 2 days later. I came home and discovered that the tech didn't even bother to put the electrical box covers back on and left clipped wires on the floor. I decided to hire Call Dad AC & Heating for a second opinion and they actually took the time to properly diagnose the issue for a fraction of the price. Turns out it was a much bigger issue than a blown fuse and Mountain Air Mechanical Contractors ripped me off in an effort to be lazy and save time. They also told me they would charge another diagnostic fee if they had to come back, even though they clearly didn't fix the problem.

The team was able to come out very quickly--next day, I believe--and provide an exact cost for the work. It was a fair price, given their responsiveness. I appreciated how quickly they were able to work, and their level of professionalism. You may pay a slight premium for the services at A-American Electric, but for that premium you are getting timely/transparent service, and a high degree of professionalism.

Steve and James came over and…read moredid some pretty precarious high ladder work to change them out, and also change out the dimmer which was probably the cause of prior bulbs failing way too soon as the dimmer replaced was not rated for LED, as it was probably original to the 2005 house. Steve and James were great guys who went above and beyond and made sure everything was 100% and cleaned up. They also suggested work arounds to use the equipment I bought for the job. Shout out to Jeremy who set up the task with me giving me options for how to accomplish the job. It's the 2nd time I've used A-American Electric and both times the electricians were stellar. Definitely my electricians here in Arden.

Pretty much the most basic thing an HVAC person could do. The person said the earliest they could come out would be this Friday and quoted me the price per pound- said it was no issue. It's a vacation rental so we blocked off the rental for Friday so this could be done- thus losing revenue. TWENTY MINUTES before our appointment we get a call from them that they can't do the work and don't want to be "liable" for working on a unit they didn't install (again- they've been here before with no issues) Incredibly unprofessional- I expressed my surprise and the guy didn't care at all. I did let him know that I'd be writing a review to warn others and his response was "do what you need to do" while laughing. I just realized 90% of their google reviews are written by their employees- sad. Harder to scam Yelp so trust the one star average and choose another company. What a joke.

Sounded good to me and he had an engineer that he has worked with before. He sat up the appointment and I met him and the employee from Medlock who both the contractor and Medlock employee led me to believe that he was an engineer. The Medlock employee took photos and some measurements and the contractor told me that it would be $500.00 then when we were all leaving the contractor and the Medlock employee said it would be $750.00. Then I get a bill where it showed that the person who looked at the house was a Project Manager and the letter had an engineer stamp on it and a hand drawn picture of the deck with what appeared to be supports to take it down. I called the office to inquire why a project manager and not an engineer looked at it and charged me $750.00. The Office Manager said that is the way they do it, send employees out and then they stamp it with an engineer stamp. I questioned had an engineer looked at the property as it was my house with a very serious issue, her reply was that the project manager talked to the engineer. I am new to Asheville but feel like this is very deceptive practice and when I called the Operations Manager she said that they do it all the time. My concern this was a very serious issue with my house and the Operations Manager said that there is a seal on the letter even though the engineer never looked at it. I have never had an serious issue with my house like this before but I do not feel like a 1 paragraph letter with a hand drawing on a serious issue that didn't give me an option to repair or a plan to rebuild.
