I received a letter stating that I owe an amount, when I call the clinic they told me to call my insurance. My insurance tells me they already paid one claim but have not received the 2nd one. I found an available appointment within 3 hours of me going to their webpage. Making an appointment was so easy, all done online, there is even an option for a text appointment reminder. Paperwork was printed from website and filled out at home to save time in the office. The waiting area is small but there was only 1 person ahead of me and I was able to sit. The desk clerk (I didn't catch her name) was professional and spoke nicely on the phone to callers. I didn't have to wait long to get in for my exam. Dr Fleming is very nice, polite, and listens to what I had to say about what I'd like to do, glasses vs contacts. He took the time to explain about the newer line free bifocal glasses since I didn't want contacts. Front desk staff had me checked in quickly and the initial vision tests were performed quickly. I don't recall her name, but she was very thorough and personable--asking the right questions before Dr. Patel met with me. Dr. Patel conducted full vision tests, reviewed my exams and asked what I was looking for from my glasses (seeing far/close, my line of work, hobbies that might require vision needs, etc.). During my frames and lense selection, Kendall was excellent. She had me select frames that I liked, then offered similar looking alternatives that actually ended up being the frames I selected. She then went thru the lenses options and offered input to ensure I was making the best decisions for my needs. I can't thank her enough! Overall, this is exactly how the process should work. My appointment took less than an hour, I was involved in the feedback and selection process from start to finish, and the staff were both friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs.

I have spent a hefty amount on office visits, contact fittings, 2 rounds of eye dilations and the lens and frame. It's been a non-stop process for about a month now. I went in on Thursday for an eye dilation to help my eyes "adjust to the prescription" and I have worn either the glasses or contacts religiously. I am still not adjusting. I am not driving since I don't feel comfortable. I just called and they can't see me until the 22nd (dr is going on vacation) and said they will check but I might have to pay another visit fee. Is this all normal or do they just suck? The contacts are a little better distance wise but it just doesn't feel "clear". Vision is worse than before and my bank account is down $700.
