I have not tried the sandwiches, but have enjoyed the baked goods. They have a great selection in the bakery. The caramel bar is a favorite of mine. It's delicious and not too sweet. I also like that they have mini cupcakes so you can "sample" one instead of buying a large one. They also have ice cream. I wasn't a huge fan of the coffee, not quite strong enough for my preference. Service is always friendly. The interior is on the smaller side, but every time I've gone, there has been ample seating. And the place is clean. read more

Bakehouse 46 is pretty consistent whether you visit a location in Birmingham, Plymouth, or this store in Grosse Pointe. The chains aren't my favorite cafes but I like the familiarity and consistency of the shops. They are comfortable, clean, and modern places to meet up with friends, which is what I was doing the day I visited this shop. Bakehouse 46 always has delicious cupcakes. I'm pretty sure most of their profits come from their baked goods. I am a fan of the mini cupcakes and having several as a small dessert. There are also donuts, apple cider, and bagel sandwiches. The bagel sandwich is decent. It isn't my favorite thing on the menu but it suffices as a filling meal. I would like to see the sandwich menu expanded. I recommend visiting a Bakehouse 46 for cupcakes and cider throughout the year. read more

I stopped by the shop after seeing someone post about it months ago on social media. It did not disappoint. A cute, quant shop nestled on a row of business. I walked in to the sweet smell of cupcakes. Staff was polite and walked me through the flavors as a first time visitor. I ended up with honey lavender and a few others. They had minis which were bite sized and standard cupcakes. I indulged in the standard and they were delicious. You could tell they baked them with the soft cake and decadent frosting/icing (whichever way you call it). They have a rewards program and BOGO cupcakes on Wednesday. I went on the weekend, but would come back during BOGO for rewards members to try some additional flavors. Two thumbs up. read more

"No nuts please, I'm allergic." *Worker grabs one not covered in nuts* *I get home and eat half of one*.... It's not completely covered in nuts but it still has nuts INSIDE OF IT. WHY WOULD SUCH A TRAP EXIST THIS IS INSANE. I've been here a few times and loved this place but I can't believe I get to spend the night in a hospital followed by a month of steroids over the absolute dumbest allergy scenario that's ever happened to me. I don't think I can even blame the worker on this one. One could reasonably assume the difference wouldn't just be covered in nuts vs. still has nuts inside of it. I mean, I did myself which is why I didn't go out of my way to be the annoying guy that's like 'Well are you sure there's no nuts inside of it too?!' Suggestion: Either make sure your workers know the scenario good and well or just don't serve two types of carrot cake that way. Prior to coming here, I knew other locations existed but knew little about them. Since I live within 10 minutes of this location, I wanted to check it out. Formally Cupcake Station, Blake Farms rebranded the cupcake company to a café and bakery. I honestly didn't expect it to be so good! The donuts were fresh and delicious, and "The Big Baker" breakfast sandwich was too. The seating arrangement is tight but not uncomfortable. I was so excited to see Bakehouse 46 open in the village. We really need more places like it in the area. I was even more excited that they would be open on Sundays, because many places aren't. They have a very good menu of baked goods and breakfast sandwiches, and the space itself is cute and inviting. I went on a Sunday morning and ordered the BELT on Asiago, 1 of the cinnamon sugar donuts, a half gallon of cider, and three of their mini cupcakes; the bump-a-licious, the caramel pretzel crunch, and the party time. The BELT was absolutely amazing. The bacon was perfectly cooked, the egg was nicely cooked and seasoned well, the arugula was peppery and fresh which cut the richness, and the scallion cream cheese just put it over the top. I will 150% be ordering that again. The donut was good, as was the cider. I haven't tried the mini cupcakes yet but they look awesome. The service was great; all the employees were friendly and welcoming. They were all moving quickly to get people through the line because it was very busy. I thought they did a great job. Love this place, but not the most efficient of service. Everyone who works there is very nice! BUT, When it's very busy everything is sort of chaos. Would definitely benefit from giving people numbers or taking names for their orders when super busy and a more efficient process behind the counter-- if you call out hot chocolate and 8 people ordered a hot chocolate.... We walked up here one Saturday morning after they opened for a couple of coffees. We ended up getting two coffees and some bagels with cream cheese. The coffee was excellent, and we decided it was better than other coffee shops nearby. The bagels were also great and definitely fresh. I was impressed at how quickly they moved people through the line. We didn't have to wait at all, and they had a lot of staff which was a nice change of pace.
