I've used AAA for my Sprinter over 8 times in the past 13 years. I have had no problem having it towed on a flat bed. The gentleman told me it was too heavy and needed a RV membership and the that they would need a larger tow. They asked if I could pay out of pocket and told me they would use the same truck to tow it to my destination even though the gentleman who was towing said it could not tow it because of the weight and was an RV conversion. I said it's a 2500 it can hold what I have inside. The guy said it's ment to hold a bag of tools lol. At the end they just wanted me to pay without Aaa. read more

This is the company that came when I used AAA. Awful. Had a transmission problem with my car and couldn't drive it. The guy gave every excuse not to pick it up. Clean truck, fast pick up from dispatched time. Felt like the car was very secure during the transit. If I am broken down in Inglewood again, I'd call Baja Towing. There's not much a person can say about a tow company if they do their job. They can't control the speed of traffic, what caused your car to break or where it breaks down. They also can't control how many people break down before you and choose to use their service. Bad tow trucks will add to your already damaged car. ..or worse, have it detach from their truck prematurely. No one likes a premature delatching. Good and clean operator and truck. Shady got an in accident and was left by the side of the Freeway..Called AAA and they sent these guys out with their Driver Mike I should have known he was trying to hustle me after immediately asking what body shop I was going to take it to and if I wanted to use his "guy" The order was to go to my home I told him multiple times ...anyway after speaking with him and confirming my drop location he began Mid ride questioning my membership level ...I spoke with AAA to confirm my converage but he kept saying I was Basic and only had 7 Miles. We Agreed it would be safer to pull off the freeway rather than over on the shoulder and he would change my tire to see how far I could go...after suggesting that I first use the so called 7 miles alotted to me to get closer to home while riding on a donut...Once we reached that limit mikes pulled off the freeway into a Metro parking lot where he literally said, "let's see if you have a donut in the back to get you on your way" Once we looked in the trunk and confirmed that I did indeed have a donut, he then turned and said give me $20 bucks cash and I will change it right now...the company charges $62....I then new the games were on....Trying to be reasonable I recapped our earlier conversation and agreement simply asking to help me get back on the road if my car could ....He declined without "incentive" and told me to call the number on the side of his truck...I did so they said we need to charge more services we need to charge....The dispatcher said he would also talk to Mike to get his side...while doing so Mike pulled off so I asked the Dispatcher is that my answer? He said he wasn't aware of Mike pulling off and there was nothing he could do... I was left in the middle of Compton stranded....Luckily God sent and Angel who saw me struggling and help me get the donut on...I limped back home.... I was serviced by Baja tow after my car left me stuck at a gas station. It was a really stressful situation for me, and my day was getting worse by the minute. Triple A was called and they informed me an independent contractor, Baja Tow would be picking me up for a tow. I was dreading the 9 mile drive home as last time I needed a tow the towing company that was called sent an employee that, while not rude, he simply seemed really upset to have to be there. A few minutes after I hung up on triple a, I got a call from Baja confirming they would arrive in 10 min, 20 minutes earlier than what triple a had quoted. I had to exit the 405 at 530 pm, horrid traffic and they got there quick! I didn't wait to long before Juan arrived with a flatbed, and what a pleasant surprise, he was incredibly kind, caring and super respectful. He was extra careful to not scratch my already ten year old car and such a pleasant and humble person that it really really turned my day around and made a huge difference. I couldn't thank him enough when he was done for the wonderful service. I had such a lovely conversation all the way home. They had called him up close to closing time and I felt bad he couldn't go home early that day. Despite it all he did such an amazing job and saved my day. I highly recommend this company. If all the employees are like Juan, then you will get the best service they can possibly give you. I mentioned this because often times when our cars break down and we're stressed and there's traffic, we forget that there are limits to what they can do and often take out her frustration on somebody who can't do anything about it. I know I was very upset when all this happened and the quality of service and the attitude of the employee completely change my attitude for the day, and for that alone I'm very thankful. read more

I've been a AAA member for 12 years and never had to use heavy duty or flatbed towing before. Yesterday, when my engine caught on fire in our class B Chevy Roadtrek RV, Golf, from Baja Tow in Inglewood came to the rescue. He was very prompt, efficient, friendly and above all very safety conscious! It was major intersection and it had gotten dark, lots of crazy driving wanted to plow right in him and/or his truck and my RV. Golf was amazing and I reccommend this company to anyone needing heavy tow. Kudos to the AAA for having such a great company service it's members. Thank you. read more

AAA needs to end their contract with this place. Horrible service. AAA stated they dispatched Baja towing at 420 pm and they did not arrive until 615 pm. Left me stranded with a flat trailer tire for nearly 2 hours in Marina Del Rey ! They said the had to come from Inglewood and that is why they took so long, but Marina Del Rey is only 15 minutes from Inglewood- 30 minutes at most with traffic. I called this place to have them pick up my boyfriends motorcycle after someone hit him on the 405 in the middle of rush hour. I was recommended to this place through AAA since I didn't have motorcycle of RV coverage on my policy. When I originally spoke with the guy it took me telling him a couple times that it was a motorcycle and not a car. I know this is important because for the bike we'd need a flat bed. I was giving them directions to where my boyfriend was on the side of the road so that the tow truck could start heading that way while I was on my way. During the accident my boyfriends phone was damaged so when I originally got the phone call it was from the guy's phone who hit him. When I tried calling back to see what was going on and if they had moved to the shoulder he didn't answer. So I had no way of getting this information and I am just worried about getting my boyfriend off the side of the 405. So when I called the tow place back to have them send the truck I have them all the information as well as saying how I am not sure which side he was on. Growing up in LA I know how critical it is to be on one side of the freeway versus another and having to switch over last minute is almost impossible. This is why I mentioned it. The man I was speaking to started lecturing me about how they can't stop traffic because they need to get to the other side. I said I can understand but can you get off and get back on. Again he lectures on how this is a huge pain and that the drive could get off and back on at certain exits but that I need to find out what side of the road he was on. I said if that is a option are they willing to do it. Hesitantly he said yes but it would be extra. I asked how much and he said an extra $25. I told him that my boyfriend was just hit, he stuck on the side of the of the 405 during rush hour (people who have been in LA know how dangerous that is), he is injured and I just need someone to please start heading that way and I don't care about the money. Just to please send someone. He then proceeds to tell me that if I can't be nice to him that we can't do business. At that point I was fed up with how rude he as and that I had spent the time to even call him. He was happy to not help me at all. I ended up going to UHaul and towed the bike myself but in a time of need this company was not helpful when called directly. Maybe directly through AAA they're better but I would not recommend this to anyone else. read more

i have AAA plus & RV coverage. i have a 1 ton van. i called AAA they sent me ocean towing. guy didn't have a lug nut wrench to fit my lug nuts. he drove off. i called AAA again 2nd time. i asked for RV service thinking they would have right tools. they sent another ocean towing with a flatbed truck. guy was irritable kinda mean. he had no jack or lug wrench that fit my car. i waited till next day to call again after i called3rd time. the dispatcher Manny called me . he was very nice. he said ocean towing put a block on me and refused to serviced me again. Manny says they only one that do my area. he says call between 10pm and 1am he there and can get me another company. i noticed on my card RV towing had another phone number different from regular roadside service for cars. i called it. the girl was very nice. i told her my story. she wrote it up in notes and swore she would send an RV tow truck with proper tools from baja tow this time. the guy came. he was very nice. he had a heavy duty floor jack good enough to jack up my ford E350 van but he had too small a lug wrench. he drove off. i remembered my van had a bottle jack with a tire iron that fir the lug nuts. i found it in behind the spare tire. i caller id the driver. he came back and changed the tire. he was very nice. i dint see how these towing companies can run a business without having proper tools. they sell a light truck and van 4 way plus sign looking lug nut wrench for $25. every RV truck and regular tow truck should carry one for vans which have larger 1 1/16 inch lug nuts as opposed to 7/8 inch car lug nuts. these towing companies are contract towing. AAA has no tow trucks of their own. Ive had lots of trouble with AAA auto club towing in the past. i had boxes of stuff in the van and they wouldn't tow me. i had to call a private tow and it was $150. i complained and AAA reimbursed me for the tow and docked a bad mark on the redondo beach towing contract company. i was in a phone booth dropping quarters like water trying to get the tow for an hour. now there aren't many pay phones. if you dont have a cell phone you're out of luck. read more

Mr R. Diez (sorry for any misspelling!) and Baja Towing were exceptional. We had an OLD RV and were stuck in a driveway to a motor home park. We called AAA and Baja Towing was there shortly and the driver was fast, polite, knowledgeable and made us, in our frustration, quite comfortable. He knew where to go to drop off the motor home and was quick and safe. We also got a call telling us he was on his way. It these people were my in-laws I couldn't give a better recommendation. I have a starter problem in my car. Tripple A as usual, sent road assistance to help me. The first one they sent did not help much as he did not know where the starter unit was in a Honda. The 2nd one also did not know. Then Baja Towing Co. came and they sent Fox to tow my car to the auto service of my choice. Fox checked the battery of my car and jumped it as much he can until it worked. I drove the car to the auto shop and Fox diligently followed me just in case to make sure that I am okay. Fox is a very good customer service person who would go out of his way to make sure that customers are happy. I commend him for the good work. read more
