They said it would take from 7-14 business days to try to have it repaired and they had no idea how much it would cost (after the initial $59 fee). I had just paid for an expensive software rental for the month, are you kidding me???!!!! Luckily I found 24/7PcTech! Cesar called me within minutes, it was late Friday and all the other local repair places were closed until Monday. I took it over and he had it diagnosed and fixed in less than 1 hour! Dell told me not to take it anywhere locally. When Cesar opened up my computer he showed me the cheap parts they had used on my expensive laptop. He replaced the bad parts with high-quality ones. After they installed my new cooler and did some BIOS updates, they let me sit down right next to them and check it out. This seems like an awesome family run business. I searched online for Tech Support in San Diego and then contacted several firms. Some were not responding to voice mail messages and, when we eventually spoke, had high rates and long lead times before a tech could be sent to my office. John Airy of On-Site Techs returned my call almost immediately, has reasonable rates and could see me the next day. Once John assessed the time for transfer of data from computer to computer, he recommended saving time by taking the two laptops to his location to complete the data transfer. He then was willing to return on a holiday to adjust the views on the new computer to my familiarity so that I could function for the next work day. John is extremely knowledgeable, proficient and efficient. He communicated well to explain how views could be adjusted and he made good suggestions without tying to upsell programs.
