Despite our agreement, they did not provide a clear diagnosis or repair quote--only a data recovery estimate that was 25-40% higher than quotes I received from certified Apple partners in San Diego. I ultimately had my MacBook repaired by a professional who specializes in Apple hardware. Unfortunately, I lost both time and the non-refundable amount. Their communication felt more like a tactic to lure in customers rather than a genuine effort to help. If you need MacBook repairs, I strongly recommend going to a specialist who works exclusively with Apple devices and has access to Apple tools, chip serial number reprogramming and reconfiguration capabilities. This shop appeared to rely on board replacements and part swaps, which were priced higher than buying a new laptop. The drop-off and pickup experiences were unpleasant, and the overall attitude was dismissive and unprofessional.
