Ordered the Taco shell Salad with chicken to go. The quality is so bad and there was no taste or whatsoever. The salsa also tasted old, very cold like it came out freshly thawed from the freezer. Dirty resturant,. empty, probably the owner is a slum. I wish they would not franchise to this type of owner. Better to eat at gas station. If the franchisee had any brain cells left doubtful they would understand it. They're in one of the best neighborhoods in LA and positioned as the only fast food Tex-Mex restaurant around and a lot of families love to eat fresh tacos. Submitted a catering order two weeks ago to have for my mother's surprise 70th birthday. About a week and a half later, the morning of the event, I get an email saying my ordered could not be processed because of a system error. Mind you, I've already been charged nearly $400 dollars and have to now scramble the day of the birthday to figure out how I'm going to feed over 20-30 people. Lucky the person working at Baja Fresh was very helpful. She spoke to the boss and found out that the $$ was in the process of being refunded to my account and that it might take 3-4 days. But they could still make the food, IF I pay again.. yes, another 350-400 dollars. I had no choice. So now, I spent nearly 800 dollars on a 350 dollar catering order, and have to wait several days for my refund. I am thankful for the staff at the location, but not how it was handled by the company/management/boss. I need my money back asap. This is ridiculous. Why did it take close to two weeks before receiving that message? Only received it the morning of? Anyway, the event was still a success, and everything worked out, but still waiting on that refund. read more

The food here is good. Look, if you want real Mexican food, I feel like you can't go to these chains BUT with that said, I feel like Baja Fresh is good food. I like that the condiments are pre-packaged in containers at the counter. Theres indoor and outdoor seating and its located in a plaza with other restaurants as well as a grocery store, conveniently located. The order received was wrong. We ordered three burritos and they were not labeled so we had no idea what's what. Turns out two out of the three were incorrect. While in the area, we stopped by Baja Fresh for a quick lunch which we enjoyed in their outdoor area. Service was fast and prompt, nothing special, but decent, no drama. Food was ready pretty fast, I don't expect things to get done too fast since I expect some quality and effort put into it. At Baja, I usually go with their quesadialla platter, I love their guac. Nachos are a safe bet as well, can't go wrong! OK prices, I wish they would have a better drink selection! Otherwise, a great option for some Mexican lunch! read more

Bring in dinner for the granddaughters. They requested chicken quesadillas from Baja Fresh ($11.50). It has been years since I have eaten here but always had good experiences. I ordered the tostada salad with chicken and black beans ($11.50). Each meal comes with a small bag of chips. The quesadillas came with a very generous side of guacamole nad a side of sour cream. Portion size was way more than either of them could finish. Good taste and great value. My tostada salad was also quite tasty with a large portion of chicken (still warm), shredded cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, and black beans in a tasty crisp shell. I love this Baja Fresh. Their food has always been on point, and they're the most consistent one I ever been to because their food is always perfect. I've been getting the Baja Burrito as far back as I can remember, and this restaurant always manages to get it EXACTLY the way I like it. It's better than any of the other Baja Fresh restaurants I try, so this one has become my regular go-to. I go there at least 2 times a week and I love it every single time. We stopped by on Sunday evening and ordered Chkn Bowl and a Chkn Ultimo Burrito. Halfway through eating my burrito, I found a piece of glass/hard plastic, with one sharp corner and approximately 1"x1.5" in size inside the burrito. The store manager had already left the store. The cashier called him at my request. The manager ( Junior) told me that they don't use glass/hard plastic in the kitchen line, did not apologize and offered to provide a refund or another burrito. I found the manager that was manning the register very rude and sloppy. His black T-shirt was full of spots just really sleazy with a matted sloppy beard. When I came over to ask for a few more napkins he placed them on the opposite side of where I was standing so I had to walk over there to get them. Just really bad customer service. There was a young kid that worked there that was mopping and sweeping the floor and the smell of the mopping was very very strong and I wanted to eat my food in peace also and I asked this worker if he could come back and mop the area that I'm in a little bit later that I wouldn't be very long eating if he could do me that favor. He yelled out to the sleazy manager that I didn't want him to mop around my area and I said to the manager if I could just have 10 minutes to eat my food and then I will leave and then he can mop this area? And the manager said no and I thought to myself wow exceptionally bad customer service and rude. I'm never coming back here again. We arrived Friday night about half an hour before Baja was posted to close. What a failure! Ordering seemed well and good enough. So I thought! Upon closer observation, it was like we'd arrived 30 minutes late rather than 30 minutes before close! Sidestepped staff and 3+ bags of trash to get to the bathroom. After washing my hands, I walked out to see someone in his filthy shoes standing on the grill / griddle line scrubbing the hood. I'm sorry, street shoes should never leave the floor & make it to the food prep area until the kitchen is closed!! Health code questions aside, our order took forever, was WRONG despite labels on each burrito. It seams the folks were desperate to get off work early on a Friday night. They cut corners with what was left in their prep area without letting us know they were out of pinto beans, queso fundido and salsa crema. Calling back from home was worse than the disaster that happened in the Baja Fresh store!! He just was trying to be funny. The interior of the locations I've been to haven't had a remodel in years. With a company that's been sold so many times, you'd think they would make upgrades. This was my first time at this location, not at all what I expected! This location has friendly cashiers, they welcome you once you step in and ask how your day is. The restaurant looks pretty clean except for the occasional dirty table. But overall the food was great. It did take about 15 mins for my food but they did great considering they were a bit busy. The reviews ain't lyin', this place is kind of gross. The floor, tables, chairs, and counters were almost universally dirty, which is pretty icky. Bits of food, colorful drink rings, and other unidentified detritus are scattered about. Not really a problem if you get your food to go, though. I tried the Chicken Ultimo Burrito this time around instead of a salad. Nothing to write home about... I hate wasting food, but I couldn't be compelled to take home the half I didn't eat. It tasted odd. Not bad, just odd. Almost unlike Mexican food. The staff is perfectly pleasant. I got my burrito without veggies, and when the woman at the counter called out my order "with extra vegetables," my heart sunk -- but she laughed and reassured me it was as I had ordered it.
