Terrible service. WORSE rooms. Let me tell you…read more Me and my boyfriend decided to stay here over the weekend to celebrate his birthday. I can honestly say in my 32 years of living, I've never stayed in a more disgusting room. We are in the middle of a pandemic right? Where do I start. The bathroom looked like it had never been touched prior to the previous guest. Hair in the shower, stuff underneath my feet when showering. The "clean" towels had who knows what on 3/6 towels. (Boogers and blood is what it appeared). The hotel rooms phone had hair and dust all over it. There were 2 literal crack pipe indentions on the carpet. Oh and the best part about the whole thing? Was the previous guest information on the table in plain site. Meaning, they in fact had not cleaned the room prior to us coming. For $150 we were blown away by how awful our experience was. Not to mention the incredibly rude front desk worker, pattie who continuously told me to calm down when I was in fact not raising my voice. She was just embarrassed since 3 new guest heard everything I was saying and also quoted "we saw a crack pipe too!". She kindly said she would discount us $20 for our problems. $20..... So just a warning to anyone with a slither of class, avoid this place at all cost. Unless you want to smell crack in the hall way! Thanks for helping us out affordable inns! We will be disputing this on our credit card.

They have lockers, showers, sauna, steam room, hot tubs, and pool. They offer shampoo, conditioner, lotion, spf, razors, hair brushes, makeup wipes, cold towels, robes and slippers. This was an amazing spa experience! My massage was the best massage I've ever had. I did a 50 minute Abhyanga massage and it was so relaxing! After the massage, I sat by the fire and enjoyed the peace and quiet. I stayed until about 2pm enjoying all of the spa amenities. They provide fruit infused water and teas. There is also an oxygen bar available for an additional cost. They do allow children under the age of 16, with adult supervision. There were a few kids in the pool so it's not an adult only area which is the only downfall.

We especially loved the spa and the complimentary tea service, which was such a nice touch. The front desk associate who checked us in was very kind and welcoming, and the concierge was extremely helpful and friendly, which made our arrival and stay feel very smooth and stress-free. A few small notes about the room: even though it was very cold outside, the room stayed quite warm at night and we ended up sleeping with the door cracked every evening. The vanity plug-in mirror in our room didn't work, and on the first night we placed the "no maid service" sign on the door, but housekeeping still entered and cleaned the room while we were out. Dining and service were overall great. At Bully Ranch, the hostess wasn't the friendliest, but our server was wonderful and made up for it. The staff at The King's Club were fantastic -- our waitress was from Costa Rica and was absolutely lovely. The German mulled hot wine was delicious, and her recommendation of the Tequila Mockingbird was excellent. I was hoping for a true chai latte, but the one at Trefe Café tasted more like warm milk with cinnamon rather than a traditional chai. On the positive side, the valet and room service staff were amazing, and the spa team was incredibly kind and welcoming -- they truly made the experience special. Overall, a beautiful hotel with great amenities, a perfect location, and mostly excellent service. Just a few small details to improve, but we had a very enjoyable stay.

What a great stay and experience. My wife found the Distillery Inn for a getaway to Glenwood…read moreSprings. We've stayed in many of the Glenwood hotels and they're fine. Carbdondale is 14 miles away and 20-25 minutes. It is a beautiful drive between the two and was great exploring another mountain town. The Distillery Inn is a breath of fresh air. They offer five rooms. One is downstairs adjacent to the distillery and tasting room. It is handicap accessible. The other four are just up a few sets of stairs and have their own balconies. The room we stayed in Ginger is gorgeous. It is modern and offers a ton of space. The bathroom is large with a closet with safe, large counter with oversized sink, bathroom with sliding door and walk in shower with rain and handheld heads. The bed was very comfortable with high quality sheets. There is a gas fireplace and coffee machine and mini fridge. They do offer a minibar and their own spirits to buy. The room had a couch and desk as well as a patio with two chairs to relax in. On the second floor is an outdoor patio with several tables to sit at. We took advantage of unseasonably warm weather in November to eat meals at. The patio has a beautiful view of Carbondale. They provide daily newspapers and in the hallway for the rooms are additional coffee pods, plates and silverware for eating in your room. The owner Connie was extremely helpful going above and beyond to surprise my wife with flowers. She gave me different options and the vase and flowers were in the room when we checked in. She answered questions we had and helped us troubleshoot a small problem with some of the technology. The tasting room is gorgeous. We didn't spend much time there but enjoued live music from the patio (with fireplace) just outside. They have reserved parking for Inn guests behind the building in the alley. They do have free charging for electric vehicles which is very uncommon. We did buy a few bottles of their Moonlight Espresso and Whiskey and they are both delicious and oh so drinkable. The downtown of Carbondale was quiet but filled with lots of restaurants, shops and mountain hospitality. Looking forward to returning to the Distillery Inn on future visits.

Walking distance to everything, including Main St shops and restaurants, hiking trails and a working farm w/ animals to visit. Five rooms total were perfect for gathering family while each having our own rooms. A rooftop area extended shared areas. Best of all, they distill their own brand of vodka and whisky and serve creative mixed drinks downstairs. You could never find this at a name brand chain hotel. GREAT mattress, a gas fireplace, high end bathroom finishes, stocked mini fridge and in case you need them, snacks for purchase. Bags of ice are steps from each door, along with a little coffee/tea/newspaper area for the floor. No front desk. No office. But the ladies who run the Inn are friendly and efficient, communicating via email and phone. You get a keyed entry code prior to arrival. Small town hospitality without the awkward B&B interactions. We all loved it and will be back again.

This is a very homey and cozy hostel in Leadville. It looks like a cute cabin from the outside. I…read moreloved the common area with plenty of comfortable places to sit, and the kitchen was very well stocked. I didn't really partake in the social atmosphere as I was very tired, and the people there seemed older. It is certainly not a young person party hostel. However, my friend I came with previously came a year ago and made good friends. The main issue that my friend and I felt made our stay uncomfortable was the restrooms. They don't have stall doors for the toilets. They just have a flimsy curtain that you can't secure in place, which was super awkward and made me feel on edge every time I was in there. Their showers also don't have doors, but that is more acceptable. We stayed in an 8-bed mixed dorm, and it was comfortable. I really liked how they have full-size vertical lockers with keys that you can use for storage. When we checked in, they said one of us had to be on the bottom bunk and one on the top. It worked out for us, but if there are other beds available it doesn't seem fair if both people have a preference for a bottom bunk just because you are friends. People in hostels are usually solo travelers anyways and need to share a bunk bed combo with a stranger.

This hostel is your quintessential hostel. It's actually a HUGE place, I'm impressed how many…read morepeople it can hold. It has a big kitchen, big living room, big lawn, and big den downstairs with TV/couches and a ping pong table. It's clean-ish, pretty much your standard hostel. The showers were a pleasant surprise - quite clean actually on the ladies' side so that was a huge relief! The beds were simple bunks in the room I was in, and I was top bunk. Low ceiling so I couldn't sit all the way up but I could most way; i was also right by a water pipe so I could hear water running every time someone showered etc, but I stilled crashed from exhaustion/Im a heavy-ish sleeper. The room was a bit warm; with the window open it was way too cold so it was a wee bit stuffy but again nothing too bad. I slept fine overall, it was pretty decent as far as a hostel experience goes. Overall - if you're coming in late and leaving early for like 1 night (which I was), this hostel will serve your needs fine! But it is restrictive in how much you can move around/put your stuff in shared rooms so bear that in mind. Parking also interesting -- you can park along the south-west fences surrounding the place but when I came at 9p on a sat, there were no spots. I briefly parking across the street on Alder (to the west), but the folks who own the home came out and informed me i couldn't stay but COULD park by the stop sign across the street on 7th (to the south). The hostel said it was fine too, and I parked there overnight and nothing bad happened (ie towing). Overall: this place is fine for a short stay as far as I'm concerned! But you get what you pay for.
