I saw a dead cockroach by the ice machine on the fourth floor :( I'm surprised they didn't have an ice machine and water fountain on each floor. It's not a huge holiday inn, and I didn't hear too much extra noises from other rooms or halls. There's plenty of parking around the hotel. This place did its job as a place to stay.

When we opened the door to our room, the smell was so strong it nearly knocked us over. We didn't even feel comfortable sitting down. We asked to be moved and were helped by a very kind employee named Cynthia, who was the one bright spot in this experience. Her customer service was absolutely phenomenal and I want to make sure she is acknowledged. Unfortunately, the second room was just as bad--same awful odor, plus rusted fixtures and overall disrepair. We were so tired, but we both agreed that we couldn't stay in a place that smelled and looked this neglected. I called the hotel's general manager the next business day and left a voicemail--no response. I called again that afternoon and left another message--still nothing. I even called again this morning and spoke with a sweet woman who politely asked for the details of my refund request and said the GM, Shunddra (pronounced Shuh-don-druh), would be the one to make the final decision. Alana was careful with her words, which made me think the GM might've been nearby. But regardless, the fact that a general manager has offered zero follow-up or accountability is honestly disturbing. I cannot believe this location is allowed to carry the Hilton name. The conditions were completely unacceptable, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. We stayed less than an hour before leaving and booking a room down the road at the Holiday Inn Express. Save your money AND your nose by booking with the Holiday Inn Express next door.

We usually stay in Thomasville a town over but due to graduations in thallahassee as well…read moreeverything in tville was booked so our first time staying in an "outdoor" hotel. It's cute rooms are standard but NO ELEVATOR. I'm disabled and it took me a bit to get up the stairs apparently there were no bottom floor rooms open. I normally don't like "outdoor" hotels/motels with doors and rooms outside as opposed to accessing your room from inside the hotel due to safety and privacy but this was my last resort. Pool is clean (I don't swim I community pools anyway" toilet in our room was coming out of the floor had shimmies in it. It's fine for a place to sleep and last minute We stayed from Thursday May 2 originally to Sunday May 8th, we wanted an extra day with my son, at this point we could have picked ANY hotel but decided to STAY here an extra night, checking out Monday morning May 8th I'll admit it was very nice stay. The breakfast was well above and beyond, I have a picky family and there was something for everyone, even a pancake maker that "does itself" it blew my mind (it's the little things) LOL. The staff couldn't be nicer and more accommodating especially giving us the extra night at our original rate. If I was ever in the area again we would stay here. I had to go to the car at 3 am and was not afraid at all. It was well lit, no one around, quiet neighborhood (there are homes surrounding) small town. I will include pics. Of the pool. The pool was beautiful and looked inviting. If I wasn't a person who didn't swim in "community pools" I would have gotten in. I'm changing my review to 5 stars... they only need to fix a few things, the toilet coming off the floor (minor stuff) and new carpeting but other than that it was great

Okay it's not the world's best hotel, with the price and all BUT..., literally never stay here…read more First we walked into the room and it smelled like cigarettes, saw a weird wire and checked the room for cameras, there was FOUR roaches in the bathroom on the wall and in the bathtub, then the next day rolls around and we come back from the fsu game and shower after showering we killed SEVEN roaches in there matter of 5-10 minutes. I will not be staying at this hotel chain again, not worth the stressing of having bugs in your clothes.

The room was nice and clean - there was a bit of a stale odor initially, but this went away after running the cooler for a bit. The bed was comfortable, and everything worked as it should. Fridge and microwave are standard with each room here. This is a busy area, so be prepared for some early am noise from other travelers. No biggie - this just motivated me to get up and get going earlier! Breakfast was complimentary, to-go, and extensive - see pic! Bagel, cream cheese, two hard-cooked eggs, yogurt, cereal, juice (or milk), and coffee. There is a neat area by the front desk that has an extensive selection of snacks and drinks to purchase. There aren't any restaurants near the hotel, so this is a nice option for hungry travelers! Staff was wonderful, and super polite! I'll be back!

We could hear some traffic on I10 but it wasn't very loud. With COVID all hotels are doing a bag for breakfast. The Hampton provided a bagel with cream cheese, apple juice, yogurt, two hard boiled eggs and coffee. They also had apples if you wanted one. Okay but miss the Normal hot breakfast. Rooms are cleaned then sealed (see my photo). It's a 4 comfortable but could use a major cleaning. (They did have a sign in the lobby stating they are remodeling- that's a good thing).

This is not the typical 5 star rating. I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel…read more.. My husband and I travel with his job, so we stay at a whole lot of hotels. This being said, almost everyone we've stayed at tells us at check in they would only clean our rooms once a week and if we need towels to come to the front desk... Then when you request to have your room cleaned it's a gamble. 90% of the time they never show up. We actually got a free stay at an extended stay because of this... Which by the way is one of the worst hotels. Now this place: 1. First day not even over night a housekeeper came to knock on my door and ask if there was anything we need... I was a little in shock Good Shock 2. This is not a 5 star Trump Tower, it is a middle class hotel... This being said I give it a 5 star economical stay. We've been here 2 weeks now and everyday I have a someone come and ask if we are OK and do we need anything. They do not miss a day. Actually one day I asked for an extra towel because I like to use 2 and the owner came to my room almost immediately 2 give me a stack of towels. I only asked for one... I was grateful for his hospitality Now they do not have a great breakfast... Continental breakfast is lacking. Also the free internet is awful, I could not connect my laptop, which stinks because I am a streamer. My 5 star goes to: First and foremost the staff... Amazing, attentive and caring. Cleanliness is on point for it being an economical stay. They have no issue cleaning your room when asked... I've never had to go to the office to ask for toilet paper or towels. The come daily to check on you... It's a cozy and comfortable stay. Also the frig and freezer actually worked as they should... Great Job Guys! I would recommend this hotel to anyone. They're definitely going to get a good review for our CLC check in... Thank u so much for the hospitality...

Granted a Wyndham timeshare owner, I didn't expect it to look like Bonnet Creek for instance but surely they would've upgraded these properties that they've acquired. Upon walking in the room was very musty. I do not know if that was from lack of people staying there or what. You had to practically slam your body against the door to close it because it was off the hinge or something. The shower wouldn't even come on. I didn't dare take a sit down bath but instead stood up to take a shower. I went to call the front desk but the phone had no instructions as to what to press on the phone keypad. It was completely bare. I encountered two staff members while there. I checked in with a young one who was really nice and gave me the rundown of the hotel. Asked if I had any questions and the such and was just very pleasant. My second day there I went down to ask an older woman for a fork and you'd think that I disturbed her from something. Needless to say, I will not be coming back here. This is what I get for trying to go the cheap route. The saying "you get what you pay for" never rang truer.

The other good was the bed, surprisingly it was good and the duvet was heavier and nicer than we've had in some higher end hotels lately. Seems like they have all went to basically just a sheet. The not so good, the walls are pretty thin so you hear every door slamming. Thank goodness we brought a speaker for white noise. The bathroom wasn't very inviting. And the worst was the smell. It smelled good in the entry and halls but if you are sensitive to smells it is very over powering. And then inside the rooms, it's even stronger. The first room we were given was so strong my eyes started watering and you could almost taste the smell, it was hard to breath it was so strong. I'm not sure if it is their cleaning solution or deodorizer or what. The roomed next to it was the same and the room we moved to down the hall was better but you could still smell the scent. This is a good overnight stay, fairly clean and inviting. Id rate it higher if not for the smell.
