They have a few "good" amenities. I don't feel it balances out the negative. My husband travels for work, he and his crew arrived late one night and had reservations. They had sold their rooms and had no more available. They had to drive 40mins to another town. If you're in the room from 8am-until while house keeping is out be prepared for slamming doors constantly (insane). Location is good with plenty parking. However Bainbridge is a small town, you'll find a Sonic, ChickFilA, Zaxby's, Popeyes and a couple Mexican restaurants near the hotel. The workers are not happy looking friendly, they look like they hate them job, moody and if you sit in the lobby you'll hear their drama. Only the breakfast kitchen lady is nice they do have full breakfast they'd pretty good and coffee all day. I'll drop some pics. Over all as a Hampton is sad

For a brand new hotel I was horrified from what I found in my bed. Thank god I checked it before I laid in it. There were pubic hairs all in the sheets. Hair pins as well!! There was dirt and filth on the floor in the bathroom. There was a hair pin in the toilet. I have stayed in many hotels and by far this was the most gross I have stayed in. It took over 30 mins to get me a room that was clean. The night person inspected all of the other rooms on the empty floor and said "they are all dirty" meaning they had technically been cleaned. What!? Are you kidding me!? I know it's not Atlanta but comon... I was comped a room and moved to a "clean" one. Here is a picture from my second room bed sheet. At least one of the two beds were visibly clean. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g34760-d8055860-r380440022-Hampton_Inn_Bainbridge-Bainbridge_Georgia.html#

However it's the first accommodations I have reserved that has had NO in room refrigeration or microwave. NO Ice Machine access but ice buckets in the room? Extra roomy Bathroom with no counter space. Iron & ironing board was in the hallway restroom for communal use?!? It is somewhat understandable that this is a historic building but there apparently is no sound proofing/insulation between the guest room walls. Noise from doors shutting, conversions, people walking on the old hard wood floors, the noises never ended. Many times it would have been very beneficial to have staff in site as children were constantly playing and running the halls, also clunking exercise equipment in the gym! Texting or Email was the only way to get staff response, which it was usually relatively quick.

We received clear instructions via text on how to download the electronic key app, along with the entry code and parking directions. No issues at all getting in. The room had electronic key cards for both the side door and the room itself, making it very convenient. Parking was easy--we parked at the park directly across from our room, within view. The streets were well-lit, and the area felt safe and charming. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with the A/C and TV working perfectly. The bathroom was impressively large as well. The building itself is adorable, thoughtfully designed, and beautifully decorated. My only suggestion would be to add a larger vanity in the bathroom, as there's ample space for it, and maybe a task light for makeup. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return if given the opportunity.

Let me start by saying I'm a perfectionist, so these issues may not be something that everyone even…read morecares about. Pros: The owner is excited about being an Inn keeper, and very friendly. She wants to try to accommodate any need you might have. The house has that old southern charm, and is filled with lots of antiques and interesting pieces. Even though she has 3 small children there, downstairs, they are fairly quiet, and the house is peaceful. The rooms are spacious and have couches or chairs in them, so that if you have visitors, you are comfortable sitting in the room to talk. There is also a little table and chairs located upstairs beside the balcony, for which to socialize or have a more private meal, as opposed to eating in the dinning room, or talking in the parlor where everyone can see and hear. She asked us what time we wanted breakfast, and we got to choose what we wanted her to make, even if it wasn't on the menu. It's obvious that someone has spent lots of money outside and in to make this place charming, and comfortable. It was like being at grandma's house, just more private. Cons: Limited parking, We were told there was wifi, but something happened to the router, and she said she would have it fixed, but we stayed 3 nights, and it was never fixed. Only one room has its own bathroom, so the other guest have to use a communal bathroom at the end of the hall. The place wasn't filthy, but it wasn't hotel standard clean either. There was random stuff under the bathroom cabinets and in the closets...like someone lived in there when there were no guest. There was toothpaste dots on our bathroom mirror from the last guest, and some of the furniture throughout had thick dust on it. The decor was some-what random, and the comforters and other fabrics clashed a bit with the wallpaper, but that didn't annoy too much. I pulled about 5 fleas off of the children, that's no infestation, but not cool non-the less. The owner lives in the house with her dogs, yet guest have to pay a hefty sum if they have their pet stay. Okay, the biggest no-no. The Dog was in the kitchen while she was making breakfast. And I know that because when she was bringing food out to us, he was barking and scratching at the door. She even picked him up once and threw him back in there. Dog hair flies and floats in the air, and I definitely don't want the person preparing to be touching the dog during the prep. process. Our friends were staying also, and she said she saw roaches. The grounds need work. It's cute with little benches and so forth, but they're so covered in algae and yuckiness from the trees above, that you can't actually sit on them. The bird feeders and house also need to be pressure washed, as algae is creeping up the walls and steps. Last but not least, our fruit that was served each morning was bad, fermented, slimy. Every morning. And that is usually the bulk of what we eat. Summary: All in all, it was comfortable, with several small careless mistakes on the owner's part, but she's new and learning. When you stay at a bed and breakfast and pay that price, you want it to be as close to perfect as possible, and it was more like staying with a friend. Definitely better than staying at a hotel in Bainbridge. We may stay there again, but I can't recommend it to friends until some of these issues are addressed.

I never leave reviews don't have time but I felt this was important because if your driving down…read morethe road in Bainbridge Georgia you might pass up the Palmer because it looks like it has 2 feet in the grave. Let me explaine my 5 star rating in detail. I live in Tallahassee FL. I have a 9 month pregnant daughter in law. Hurricaine Hermine hit and the power was gone. We were told minimum of 4 days before restoration. We went to booking.com and was able to reserve a room here in Tally. We go to the motel with a note on the window saying we aren't honoring your reservations. We have no power. Every motel on that road had that sign. We were supposed to pay 55 a night there. Low and behold the next morning after spending a horrid night in the heat I see these same motels charging 200 a night for a single room. 55 to 200 I guess that's why they didn't want my reservation. After day 2 and no mercy we decide were driving until we find something. Coming into Bainbridge Georgia only 23 minutes from my home I see this motel with an empty lot it is 12 noon. I pull in and this is the ugliest place I've ever seen. Think Clint Eastwood western there he is standing in the desert with that cigar and that poncho blanket thing with a tumble week rolling across the desert. We had already checked bainbridge there wasn't an open room to be had. We pull in and pray it is operational. The man finds out we are hurricane victims and cuts the rate. Guess what every other hotel in Bainbridge was price gouging as well. 200 a night. I just couldn't afford that. At this point I'm thinking I can wear bug spray and put plastic on the floor if I have to the place looked like it should be condemned it was that old...on the out side...that is. We get the key to room 140 and walk in it is a double. It was a plain room to neatly made double beds with the old style tv, mini fridge, and microwave. None of the extras you think you have to have. The carpet was spotless and the beds were some of the cleanest and softest I've ever experienced at a motel and I grew up literally in a Holiday Inn. My parents worked as food and beverage directors there. The room was old but it was clean and it was comfortable. I truly mean that. Clean, very clean. The owner was so nice and catered to our needs. Upon waking up from my well deserved sleep I was setting out side. There were a total of 6 guests parked in the lot. I watched the housekeeping service walk in each and every room of that motel about 45 to 50 and clean them each and everyone as if they had all been rented. They really take care of this motel. I'll tell you another thing. On night two after sending out a mass email to friends back home suffering the way we were. We filled that motel up to full conpacity. We had friends staying and paying 200 a night elsewhere but upon reading my email they relocated. This motel desert 10 stars but only 5 are available. If you need a safe clean place to recover from a tragedy or just a place to save money so you can spend more on fun things to do then head on over to the Palmer Motel in Bainbridge Georgia. They deserve the business and you deserve to be treated the way this owner treats customers.

Wow! This was probably THE worst motel I've ever stayed at in the United States (I've been at a few…read morethat were worse in other countries.....third world countries!) This is a worn out motel complex that was probably in its heyday in the 50s or 60s. It was recently taken over by Howard Johnson (I didn't even know that HoJo hotels still existed). The room had a card entry (that was fine), and everything worked, but it was grungy. I actually washed and sanitized my hands a few times after touching things in the room that were sticky (and I'm not a "germophobe"...I've never done that in a US motel before!). Glancing at the shower, the first impression is that someone spread feces on the walls, but on closer inspection it was the glue for fastening on soon-to-be-placed bathroom tiles. The sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. That's what I was there for, so that was the most important thing. There was a continental breakfast included ("a variety of five cold cereals and choice of hot oatmeal or grits" as someone told me on check-in). True, but everything was in factory sealed packages, including the bagels! (After what I said about the room cleanliness, that's probably a good idea). There was a garbage can in the hallway that was overflowing, from the time I arrived until after I left. There was a swimming pool, but it was closed. I hope the shift to Howard Johnson will involve an upgrade of the rooms, but I am not going to stay here again.
