I stopped by thiss coffee spot in Tiffin, Ohio, and I couldn't have been more impressed. The coffee was fantastic--rich, flavorful, and perfectly brewed. But what really stood out was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. Whether you're grabbing a quick cup or staying for a while, the atmosphere is inviting, and the service is top-notch. I'm happy the breakfast place I went to didn't have coffee. I love this place! They have some of the best quality coffee around and have a wide variety of different types of drinks you can choose from. This place usually has drinks of the month that are so good! The coffee is always the perfect temperature. We had a chai latte and regular coffee. Both were decent, but did not seem to be high caliber. Plus The place is on the corner and inviting. The inside is somewhat quaint, has a coffeehouse atmosphere and has different rooms. There is a place to play games, relax, and I saw a small stage in the back as well. It is not a chain!!! Love local private business:) Minus The coffee is served in to go cups. Ok for take out, but real cafes/coffee houses should serve good coffee in ceramic or glass. The restroom area takes away some of the charm. It would be nicer if the place you order was open style with a focus on coffee preparation/cafe-coffee house look. Overall though its worth a try and with some work could be a great cafe. read more

The good: The coffee was fantastic, I had a gingerbread latte. Pretty sweet. I loved the atmosphere. It was cozy, relaxed, and there were board games for everyone to play. The bad: Unfortunately I came to use the WiFi. It was about 4 mb download speed, 1 mb upload speed. It crashed on me once or twice. To be honest, maybe I'm spoiled by other coffee shops having really decent 10mb+ but it is what it is. Don't come for the WIFI. Maybe they have improved since my last visit. read more

A local favorite. I especially love that each month they create themed drinks. I still have a favorite from July of 2017 and I still order it all the time. My fiancee has been in before to get me that drink, and they knew exactly what he was looking for (he couldn't remember what was in it). It's the best small-town feel. The staff have always been super friendly. The layout of the building is nice, there are lots of windows to sit next too and it's never too crowded. Having been gone from Tiffin for about a decade now, it was super cool on my return to find Bailiwicks Coffee Company on South Washington Street. Just about 20 yards from public parking so no worries there. I had the Costa Rica, house blend according to my barista, which was a solid cup of java. I've had better at coffee houses in Columbus -- BUT they also charged me a lot more than the $1.65 a large cost. For the price, I'd put up against anything else on the market. Wife had a peppermint mocha deal and really liked it -- so much she went back the next day to get another. The owner and other employees were very open to talking to patrons and it was a great time for some coffee and making new pals. read more

I was not impressed. This place puts off such an abrasive flashy vibe that you cant even look at the menu without judging glares. I was expecting a nice coffee shop with nice fresh pastries; or options even. The limited menu appeared so fake and snobby. All they had to eat were packaged pastries... dont be coffee snobs without having real food... its just so thrown together to put off the snobby vibe. The coffee was light and creamy for a blackeye... but pretty good. EDIT: to add insult to injury to the previous claims of appearing "fake", the barista's fake eyelash fell onto the lid of my coffee and i just noticed... dropped 3 stars to 2 stars read more

An overall average coffee spot. They're open strange hours, mostly in the PM, and not early in the morning when people really need their coffee. Most of the staff is not in-the-know about most of their products. The location is perfect, but I think they're missing a lot of the market share due to their hours. read more

Great, relaxing spot for coffee in downtown Tiffin. Coffee was good, maybe a little more expensive than some other local coffee spots I've been to, but comparable to Starbucks. I loved the bright modern decor, cool local artwork, and big picture windows to catch all the action downtown...and all the cool historical architecture. If this place were closer, I would probably be in here several times a week doing work or reading. read more

Let me tell you what...for a place with 3 letter "I"s in the name this is the best coffee I've ever had in Tiffin. I got a blended latte with some caramel up in it and it blew my mind. Came here with 4 other friends and only 1 of them actually got coffee but it was a universal decision that the ambiance was 5 star quality. Also a nice fellow customer directed me to a garbage can that I wasn't sure was decoration or not. Can't wait to return. read more

Bailiwicks is, in my opinion, the best coffee shop there is. When I travel out of town, and have to get my coffee at a large chain or other "hometown shop" I am always disappointed. Coffee houses are now known for over-sugar-ifying everything, even when you ask them not too. NOT BAILIWICKS!!! They don't skimp on the espresso of their specialty drinks (I get the white chocolate mocha) and if they feel a shot didn't come out good enough, they'll redo it, not give you the subpar espresso! If you tell them how you like your drink (such as, I only get about 3/4 the white chocolate in mine), they will make it that way. I only had to tell them the first time, and now every barista there knows my order. I don't have to worry about making sure a certain person is working when I get my coffee, because I know from experience that they will all get it right. Before bailiwicks, that was my concern- "oh no, how am I going to get my coffee today- so and so is working at so and so coffee house and they never get it right". Bailiwicks prices are great, and they even offer a 10% discount for knowing the phrase of the day on their Facebook page or for purchasing one of their reusable mugs. They devote two days a week to the local colleges for the phrase of the day, which is a great way they show local pride. They also host events there, like making pottery, local music, and book club. They have a spacious, modern space with a lot of comfortable furniture. All the employees are wonderful, even when you see them outside of work. You can really tell they love their job. I think a lot of that is the owner Jess, who has such a wonderful attitude every time I see her! I love bailiwicks!!!!!! I think my record is 4 visits in one day. I frequently will go twice in a day, sometimes three, and once 4 times in a day :) I also by my espresso beans there for when I make coffee at home! read more

Ok coffee but ridiculously over-priced. Just about $5 for anything other than black coffee and even that is a lot. Does your expensive coffee go toward a quick moving staff? Nope. Just two people switch off taking orders and making the orders. Not worth the price. Someone should tell them they're in Tiffin. read more
