Parts of the furniture went to Pebbles and Twigs in Park City, a consignment shop, and also into a storage space close to my new address. The main guy in charge was professional and experienced. He had a great attitude, too. But the rest of the moving crew was made up of young, inexperienced boys, who received warnings and directions from the main guy throughout the move. Two boys took most of a day to leisurely pack my kitchen cupboards. One boy asked me if I was married, which was inappropriate and intrusive. One of my TVs was broken with a big thumbprint dent on the screen. My expensive pottery was broken and damaged the bookshelf as it fell. The cost of the move, which the owner of the company estimated to be around 2,000.00, ended up costing me over 7,000.00 (after a discount). They didn't have enough trucks, space, or movers, so we had to wait for that. It took two days for the items to be moved, which I attribute to poor planning, disorganization, and inexperienced packers. (I had twice the amount of stuff packed and moved from my house in Maryland, in about five hours in the past.) However, they did a good job moving my sofas up seven flights of stairs because the two sofas didn't fit in the elevator. So, overall, it was a mixed, stressful, and unpleasant experience. Needless to say, they didn't follow-up to ask about my moving experience or ask me for a review of their move. The bottom line is that I would not use them again for my next move, which is coming up in September.

However, on the day of the move (04/09/26), they presented a new estimate that was higher than what was originally agreed to. Before the movers even arrived, my husband had already done a significant amount of the work himself, he moved all the boxes into the garage and disconnected the washer and dryer. The only items left in the home were the large furniture pieces. When the two movers arrived, they even commented that this was going to be an "easy move" because of how much had already been done. We were told a crew of 3 movers would be handling the job, but only 2 showed up for most of the move. A third mover didn't arrive until the last couple of hours to help with the unloading. Because of this, the move took longer than it should have and since they charge hourly, that directly increased the total cost. This seems like normal practice for them, a bait and switch. They also spent an excessive amount of time (about an hour) just wrapping furniture, which again added to the bill. At the end, the total came out to nearly $1,000 significantly more than expected. On top of that, we received inconsistent paperwork with different versions of the agreement, which makes the charges even more questionable. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and misleading. Despite the amount of prep work done ahead of time, the job still took longer and cost more than it should have. If you're considering using this company, I would strongly recommend getting everything clearly locked in writing and confirming crew size before the move starts. Unfortunately, we would not use them again.

All 4 people who showed up were extremely courteous, well mannered and respectful of each other, myself, my grandparents, my home, and the piano. They took such great care moving something so special. Safety was of the upmost priority and they took care to make sure the piano was well padded and set so that it wouldn't get damaged in the short drive. I was a little taken aback by the price tag of $250 to move a piano a short distance, but by the end, it was the best $250 I could have spent. I had zero worries, even in the rain. These guys are also very strong- my grandparents and I were amazed by their strength and ability to move the piano so fluidly and safely and knew a special heirloom was in safe and capable hands.

They had all materials and a dump trailer delivered two days prior so they were ready to go the day of with no delays. Both crews were really nice and they even hauling away some extra garbage I had on the side of the house at no extra cost. Roof replacement is an extremely messy job but their cleanup was incredible! Aside from the gorgeous new roof, there were no indications that work had even been done! My yard was even cleaner than before and they even used a magnet to ensure no nails were hiding in the grass. Absolutely would recommend to friends and family! 10/10

Anyways, the guys showed up right on time, were very kind and most importantly...clean with shoe guards worn at all times and also placed everything right back in place after they moved it. They clean your blinds on site so you don't have to wait all day for them to come back to deliver them. They do offer a lot of services so they will ask if you need additional things done like screens cleaned or windows washed. Not pushy at all so all was fine there. Normally for blinds this bad we were told they would normally charge an extra fee, but decided to waive it and went over them 3 times each at no charge. WOW!!! The blinds looked amazing and we love um again. Just a great experience.

I asked them on this most recent visit to clean the base track of the slider door which was quite dirty since I can't clean at floor level. Not only did they clean it, they took it apart and got under the track to remove construction sawdust from 8-9 years ago when my apartment building was constructed. I had an unusual experience with Gutter Boys that showed me a great deal about their…read moreprofessionalism and integrity. I needed larger six-inch gutters and downspouts because heavy rain can overwhelm the existing system and cause flooding at my home. Gutter Boys came out, carefully walked the property with me, understood the drainage problems, and prepared a detailed quote covering the gutters, downspouts, heat cable, valley shield, and gutter guards. Their representative was knowledgeable and confident, and their recommendations gave me a lot of confidence in the company. Their complete quote was $4,520--about $400 less than the competing $4,922 quote I had received for substantially the same scope. Based on my conversations with them, I intended to hire Gutter Boys. Unfortunately, while rushing to complete the project before surgery and the next major storm, I mistakenly approved both companies' proposals. Another contractor completed the installation the day before Gutter Boys was scheduled to arrive. Gutter Boys had already reserved the day, arranged for their six-inch gutter machine, and sent a crew to my home before I realized my mistake. They had every reason to be frustrated, but they handled the situation graciously and professionally. I offered to compensate them $250 for the lost time and scheduling disruption. They accepted that amount and promptly refunded the remaining $625 of my deposit. I cannot review their finished installation because my mistake prevented them from doing the work. I can say that their evaluation was thorough, their quote was detailed and competitively priced, their communication was excellent, and their conduct after losing a full day of work was exceptionally fair. I would confidently call Gutter Boys first for future gutter work.

I would highly caution using Helping Hands Moving & Maids. I had a very disappointing and…read moreunprofessional experience with this company. We scheduled movers for 8:30 AM. By 8:40 AM, no one had arrived, so I reached out and received no response. The movers did not arrive until just before 10:00 AM, with no communication or apology regarding the delay. The move was completed at approximately 11:26 AM, yet we were still charged $495 for a full 3-hour minimum. Had they arrived at the agreed-upon appointment time, the job likely would have been much closer to the timeframe they charged for. Instead, we were billed for time during which no services were being provided. When I attempted to discuss the issue, Charles became argumentative and unwilling to reasonably address my concerns. Comments I left on the Venmo transaction were deleted, and my negative review was also removed. There was also very little documentation or transparency regarding the billing terms or transaction. Their response also stated that Tooele was "46 miles away," but if distance was an issue, the job should not have been accepted or should have been scheduled appropriately. Overall, this experience felt extremely unprofessional and poorly handled. I would strongly encourage others to use caution before hiring this company.
