Tasty food and generous portions for a great value! Our server was very friendly and the place was quite full, which surprised me in the small town we were passing through. Two of us shared the seafood platter, which had 2 sides, hush puppies, fried oyster, fish, scallops, shrimp, deviled crabs, and sauces. It was all very enjoyable, so I would come back if I'm ever passing through again.

Bailey's Fish Camp delivers large portions of food in a very quick manner. The restaurant is no frills but does not act like it is one. Food portions are huge and the wait staff are very friendly. I got the seafood platter which had a variety of fried seafood with a couple sides. It was big enough to share between 2 people, unless you are REALLY hungry. While nice, it was a little heavy for me. I'd definitely come back if I'm passing by.

Kelly's is one of those places that takes you straight back to childhood, the kind of fish camp…read moreyour parents used to pile you into on a Friday night. Family owned since 1960, and you can feel that in every part of the experience. The parking lot was packed when we got there, which is always a good sign. We grabbed a booth and the sweet tea came out right away with a pitcher so you can refill it yourself, which is a small thing but I appreciate it. Ordered the flounder and shrimp and it came piled on a paper platter with fries, slaw, and the hush puppies. And those hush puppies are seriously worth talking about. Big, hot, crispy outside, soft inside. The portions overall are ridiculous in the best way. The seafood platter is a good call if you can't decide, flounder, perch, catfish, deviled crab, shrimp and oysters all on one plate. The slaw is creamy and fresh, not the watery kind. They also had homemade cake slices up front and we grabbed a piece on the way out. There's a warmth and a character to this place that you just can't fake. Glad it's still here.

Popular local fish house conveniently located on US74. There is little time to consider the choices when busy, and locals who know what they want proceed quickly, first timers may end up rushing their order and choose poorly. Payment is taken at a separate counter, and tips are solicited before you have received your food. Avoid choosing a table near the exit as it can be drafty and has lots of foot traffic. Drink cups are provided for self serv beverages. Food is delivered hot and fresh from the kitchen. There is a large variety of primarily fried seafood choices, with mostly fries and slaw for sides; baked potatoes don't seem to be offered. Entrees are offered in small and large sizes, and portions are large, with mounds of fish, fries and hush puppies on each plate. The dining area can be crowded and noisy, especially when returning for refills to the busy drink dispensers. If you need a to-go box, you will find them there. Overall, this bustling restaurant offers large portions in return for minimum service. Entrees are in the $15 -$20 range despite the do-it-yourself nature of the dining room. If you want table service this is not your place!

Baked potato was done to a turn. Butter and sour cream was on table in abundance and convenience! Shrimp was cooked perfectly. Beautiful light golden brown! Best I have had in years. I ordered a small and got 9 butterflied shrimp! Everything appears clean and cared for with the exception of the entrance doors which need replacement and are well weathered. One other observation. The sign next to the entrance is not designed well. It is hard to see and is camouflaged into the background vegetation. A more modern sign with some "pop" may draw attention to this restaurant and German architecture!

Service was prompt and was consistent throughout the meal. Drinks were delivered quickly with hush puppies, which were excellent! Didn't have to wait long for main meal. My wife had flounder and sweet potato, which she liked very much and they had brown sugar for her sweet potato! She really appreciated that because most places do not have brown sugar. My meal was excellent! I had fantail shrimp, although they were actually butterflied shrimp, and they were prepared great. Soft, tender and cooked to a perfect gold color. Best I have had in a long time. Baked potato was cooked well and I like that the butter and sour cream is in a basket on the table so you don't have to beg waiter for more! I'll be back!

Having never been I was a bit overwhelmed by all the choices and let my wife order for us while I found a table. The floors were sticky, the table was stick, and some moron was on their phone using speaker phone. My wife ordered two Philly Cheesesteaks making one a 'jumbo' to include onion rings, fries, and a drink. Service was friendly & helpful for us newcomers and the food was delivered quickly by the friendly staff. So as much as I was concerned about sticky floors and all that, the food really was delicious. The cheesesteaks seemed to be more bun than meat, but honestly it was a perfect balance of meat, cheese, grilled onion AND a PERFECTLY crispy AND soft bun. The sandwich truly was magnificent and really well balanced/proportioned. I thought the rings were a bit under cooked, but I was fooled again! Onion was soft, well cooked, and flavorful. Fried were definitely undercooked but I don't generally eat French fries so all good. Cole Slaw was middle of the road. I struggle with a rating but sticky floors, sticky table along with a few environmental things really drag down my overall perception. Friendly/competent staff and an excellent sandwich will hold a steady rating of three. Would I eat there again? It is on of the few unique non-chains in the area and I know what to expect going in. So if I need to stop on the area, I'd more than likely stop again thanks to staff and food!

Best thing we had was the buffalo chicken wrap. I'll update the review once we come back again. I'm gonna pass on the fries and onion rings next time though, they aren't with the extra $3. The restaurant feels like a diner but you order at the counter and bus your own tables. Pete's has so many items on the menu I'm sure we will find our favorites soon!

The fried pickles were incredible - full dill spears perfectly crispy and a great way to start our meal. The homemade onion rings with honey mustard dipping sauce were the best. Rustic interior with wooden benches and tables, across several seating areas and an outside patio. We were greeted walking in and seated in the same moments, our server was kind and attentive. We started with an appetizer, their Jalapeno Cheddar Hush Puppies. A nice serving of golden brown pups and a dipping sauce. Great flavor and just a hint of spicy heat. A good start. After giving the menu a good read, I opted for the Calabash Shrimp and Flounder. Its another solid choice if you're there for the seafood. A nice meal with golden fried shrimp, a couple flounder filets with hush puppies, slaw and potato salad, cocktail and tartar sauce. This is good comfort food cooking and it works. I enjoyed my meal very much. 4 Stars good food, fair prices and kind staff 01277
