I come here when I want to get my nails done for a special occasion. They're efficient and nice. I don't think I've ever really felt negative vibes before. Recently I had a nice conversation with Jenny about her kids. The prices are competitive for the area. My usual manicure is a french shellac. They last at least 2 weeks before the polish starts snagging on stuff and I have to peel it off. read more

This place is a no day spa but the value is amazing. For $30, you get a spa pedi and manicure and they do a wonderful job, including a hot stone foot massage. They do a great job on the polish and really take their time. I was in tonight and even though she finished at closing, my tech made sure I still got all ten minutes of dry time under the UV light before closing up shop even though I know it kept them all there later. Great service, excellent value! read more

My husband has been getting his hair cut by Frank since we moved to the area a little over a year ago. Frank does an amazing job, is super fast, and the prices are crazy low! Recently, I cut off 10 inches of hair and got a cut from a stylist elsewhere that I hated. My husband suggested I go to Frank and have him "fix" it. Oh man, did he! He worked wonders with my thick and shapeless hair, turning it into an actual hairstyle. He made me feel a thousand times better about my hair and the cut was only $20. The only issue is that because he's so great, it can be hard to get an appt but it's worth it! read more

Very inexpensive and they do a great job here! Love my shellac French manicure :-) will definitely be back! Highly recommended! read more

Bailey Salon - Shellac French manicure - Hair Salons Near Me - Mountain View, California

This review is for nails only. I made an appointment for myself and a friend and came in on a weekday afternoon for a mani/pedi. Pros: - Great massage chair - Clean salon - Took us on time, only ones in there for most of the time - Good price: $42 for a shellac mani and regular pedi - Thorough and good job Cons: - Did both my mani and pedi at the same time. Some people may like this to get it done more quickly, but I'd rather relax and enjoy. When they do them at the same time I can't read a magazine, drink my coffee, or chat much with my friend. - Separated my friend and me for her manicure so we couldn't chat. read more

I like coming here. It's clean, it's quiet, and the ladies here are nice and know what they're doing. I like to call ahead for an appointment. I usually just get a pedi and it lasts a while. read more

Great staff and centrally located. I made an appointment for 5:30 on a Friday night and was seen about 15 minutes later (which I'm used to at salons and didn't mind at all, and they also apologized for the wait). My nail tech (didn't catch her name) did quick, gentle work and provided me with a perfect gel manicure. The polish was even (so was my square nail shaping) and covered the whole nail, which they always seem to struggle with at other salons. Clean station and equipment and a great hand/arm massage too! I only wish there were more of an assortment of nude pink shades, but they were super accommodating and did a colored base with 3 coats of a lighter shade on top to achieve my desired color. I'll definitely be back, can't beat the price and quality of service! read more

Can't beat the price. $40 bought me shellac mani and a classic pedi. Jenny was so sweet, so good at her job, and the place was clean as a whistle. I am really pretty picky, so if I don't like what I see, I'll walk out- but this place was just perfect for its location and price. I'll be back! read more

I love this place. Jenny is the best for both nails and waxing, but she is always busy especially on the weekends so call ahead for an appointment. They just raised their pricing so they are a little more on par with other nail salons in the area but are still cheap for nail services. I always book with Jenny who is always great, the other ladies can be hit or miss at times. read more

I loved my manicurist. Very gentle. Doesn't go ham on my cuticles and you can tell she was very knowledgeable in her field. I also received an awesome hand massage. I do Shellac and I LOVED the patience she had with allowing them dry and applying another coat. The prices are very reasonable and I will definitely be back. read more

I work in the neighborhood so the location is convenient and that is pretty much the reason i have been to this place twice. The quality isn't what i would call choice, however, you can't beat that price. I only have so much time to take a lunch and they can always fit you in. they gotta make that money money. that is a plus for sure. the downside: they are not very sanitary. i break my own rule going there but it's too convenient. you understand. you have done it before; gone against your better judgement to save time and some bread. i will continue to go, i mean, a shellac manicure is 20 dollars. the nail techs can do a simple mani but don't ask them to do anything complex, you just won't get what you want. I am still trying to find the right place but in this hood i just think i will have to settle down and accept the fact that, for now, this place works. read more

Bailey Salon - prep - Hair Salons Near Me - Mountain View, California

I've been going to this salon for the shellac mani and pedi and even had waxing done on my brows. The salon is clean with easy to find parking. Many times I have been lucky and found a spot right in the front which is great for downtown Mounatin View. Jenny is a sweetheart and always takes her time with my nails. The other ladies are always seem pretty friendly too. I love the shellac manicure and like the massaging chair but cannot agree with the 2 week longevity of the shellac. 10 days tends to be the max for me-No fault of the salon, I think it's just me. None the less I love how it looks and I don't have to worry about smudging or chipping the second I'm done. I'm a fan and will continue going to see these nice ladies! read more

I came in wanting a haircut, but the guy wasn't in. Apparently he is off on Tuesdays (or at least the Tuesday that I came in). So I settled for a pedicure. I was quoted $15 for regular mani, $20 for regular pedi, which are pretty decent prices for the South Bay (IMHO). Extra if you want gel (forgot how much because I didn't opt for it). Apparently if you do mani only, you can pay a couple extra to enjoy the massage chair. I'm pretty happy with the service. I will have to come back another day for the haircut I still need. read more

$45 for a pedicure and a french gel manicure?! Doesn't get much better than that! I came in during my lunch break and there was only one other person in the salon. The staff was really friendly and actually engaged in conversation with you, which is a huge plus. They did a very nice job and my nails still look great over 10 days later. Mani and pedi took about an hour, so you can squeeze it into a lunch break. I will be returning soon! read more

This salon is so great. Everyone is very sweet and discreet at the same time. Very professional at all times and the salon always has their wide doors open for fresh air. The price includes a hot stone massage, an exfoliating scrub and normal massage. I also appreciate them not using plastic in their tubs!! read more

I was going here for nails for a few months and wondering why the nail tech employees changed so much and why they weren't very busy. Eventually found out why: Frank has a terrible temper and has no idea about customer service in America, you have to be nice to your customers. He is not nice to his wife, Jenny, nor some of the customers. I heard him yelling at a customer for canceling, told him to never return. Jenny seems to be unhappy and on edge. Maybe the rent costs too much for them there. I couldn't take the intensity so now I go elsewhere. read more

After over 2 years of coming here and two reviews, I'm always still surprised at how happy I leave after coming to MV Nails. Amazing customer service, fair prices, excellent color selection of both shelac and regular polish, not to mention great company. Have yet to leave disappointed. The ladies are all very talented and super sweet too which make its a fun experience. read more

I have had countless positive experiences here. Jenny and Frank are so kind and always very friendly to customers. Jenny gives the best gel manicures, and for $25, it's the best deal you'll find. My favorite Nail Saloon in Mountain View-CA. Lyin is great, lovely. They do a great job and are all very friendly. Also my husband cuts his hair here and he loves it! I decided to write this review since I had a terrible experience this weekend. I came to Jenny with no appointment on a Saturday morning, and she had too many costumers to accomodate me right away, so I decided to go to another nail salon and do my nails. Worst experience ever! Much more expensive, terrible service and mail nail polish is already peeling after 1 day! I won't trade this nail salon ever again! I love it! read more

Phoebe was great, 23$ for shellac manicure if I recall correctly, it was really fast and well quality. I usually do not go to cheap places as the hygiene may be off, but this one was clean. She used gloves and corrected enamel flaws with a brush (thankfully not with her own nails which I cannot stand). I should also note that if you want a smalltalk and personal questions it may not be the place, but I wanted neat and beautiful nails done which is a better tradeoff. read more

I have been here several times to get a manicure and pedicure, but my last experience was so disappointing, I won't be back. I had an appointment for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. They didn't have me down for the gel when I arrived, which was a red flag for me as I believe only one tech does them here. Still, they told me to pick my color and have a seat at the pedicure station. After I sat down, I received the most rushed and sloppy manicure and pedicure I'd had in a long time. They switched techs half way through and had someone doing my fingernails while I was getting the pedicure. Yup. Even with the gel polish! I had to awkwardly hold the light while having my arms pulled across me and then maneuver my hands in while they painted the other nails. All while trying to relax during my pedicure, which is my favorite part because of the hot stone and foot massage! I was in and out in 30 minutes. My fingernails started peeling around the edges that same day, and the gel fell off 3 days later. I would've gone back for a redo the day after my appt, but it was a Sunday (they're closed) and we had a wedding that day, then back the work grind on Monday. I simply didn't and don't have time to go back when something isn't done decently the first time. I'm really sorry the quality has gone downhill here. Their prices are excellent. All my previous experiences had been wonderful. I wish I had felt less rushed. It seemed like they just wanted to churn people out. read more

I was in town visiting San Jose for a couple of days and was in great need of a mani fill and pedicure. I also needed my brows waxed. I stumbled upon this gem after driving around in the neighborhood looking for a shopping plaza. I checked the reviews online and decided to go in. This beauty salon was amazing. It was clean and did not smell. The ladies serviced me right away without a wait. My toes were soaked and exfoliated then I was a given a hot stone treatment. This all was included with the basic pedicure. My pedicure was 20 but I decided to get a design which totaled $25.00. Then I got a fill for my powder acrylic manicure. The nail tech listened to my request and thinned out my nails. She was also very gentle with her tools. The last nail shop I went to did a horrible job on my nails. They were too thick and wide and I was in pain from the tools that she was using. This nail tech was very gentle and she thinned our my nails. They look so natural. My only concern is that they would use new buffing brushes on their customers for sanitary reasons. The nails techs were very patient and kind. They also wore beautiful smiles. I wish I could take the nail tech back to Los Angeles with me. Please visit this salon...it's one of the best out there. My nails were $30 and my brows were $10.00. read more

I'm so glad I chose to go here. My hair is naturally wavy and has had some terrible cuts in the past, to the point where I had to go super short just to 'sort of' fix it. I read other reviews and most of the clientele seems to be for mani-pedis, but a few mentioned Frank cutting their hair. Lucky for me, Frank cut my hair and I am so happy with it! He seemed to know what would be the best way to cut my hair and he was a perfectionist about it. I've been charged more for cuts that took mere minutes, so this experience was definitely a step up. My cut only cost $20 and I'm thrilled I didnt have to spend more for a quality cut. read more

I came here last week for a last minute shellac manicure. I didnt have an appointment and showed up like 30 minutes before closing and they were happy to fit me in. I was in and out within a half hour and the quality of the girls' work was amazing! $20 for a shellac manicure, you cant beat the price. I probably wont be coming here on a regular basis because I typically enjoy killing some time and getting a good massage when I get my nails done, but if I'm ever in a pinch I will most definitely be back here! read more

It was okay wouldn't go back. Got a gel manicure she barely filed my nails, color selection was small and the over all manicure was okay, looks like I did it myself real quick at home. Not worth the $25. Pedicure was basic and quick. I've had better $25 pedicures. The ladies were nice so for that 2 stars. read more

This was my first time coming here and I can say that I am pretty satisfied. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because my daughters nail polish was kinda patchy but that's about it. The staff is really friendly and the prices are really affordable. Would definitely go here again! read more

I hate pedicures, have never enjoyed them or found them worth getting. My Mom and sister wanted to go get pedicures the other day, so I begrudgingly went along. I left feeling like I will come back to this place every time my sister is in town! I never thought I would say that I loved pedicures! $20 for a nice long foot massage with hot stone. Massage chairs are nice and THE LADIES ARE NOT YELLING AT EACH OTHER AND TALKING CRAP ABOUT YOU IN VIETNAMESE! It was such a nice and relaxing experience which is not what I was used to. They had nice colors but I would like to see more updated colors...that's my only thought. read more

I tried Mountain View Hair & Nail today for the first time, and got a pedicure for $20. Which is pretty unheard of in Mountain View, where it seems the going rate is $35. This place is small and quaint. The women there are friendly and instantly greeted me as I walked in the door. I was seated in a chair in no time, and the lady giving me a pedicure was very sweet. I love my pedi! This place did a great job, and scrubbed my feet well (which is not always the case at some places). If I lived in Mountain View this would be my go to, reasonable prices and quality service. PLUS it's located right next to Olympus Cafe & Bakery, so you can always get a mani/pedi, and a special sweet treat. :) Enjoy! read more
