This place is a no day spa but the value is amazing. For $30, you get a spa pedi and manicure and they do a wonderful job, including a hot stone foot massage. They do a great job on the polish and really take their time. I was in tonight and even though she finished at closing, my tech made sure I still got all ten minutes of dry time under the UV light before closing up shop even though I know it kept them all there later. Pros: - Great massage chair - Clean salon - Took us on time, only ones in there for most of the time - Good price: $42 for a shellac mani and regular pedi - Thorough and good job Cons: - Did both my mani and pedi at the same time. Some people may like this to get it done more quickly, but I'd rather relax and enjoy. My husband has been getting his hair cut by Frank since we moved to the area a little over a year ago. Frank does an amazing job, is super fast, and the prices are crazy low! Recently, I cut off 10 inches of hair and got a cut from a stylist elsewhere that I hated. My husband suggested I go to Frank and have him "fix" it. Oh man, did he! He worked wonders with my thick and shapeless hair, turning it into an actual hairstyle. He made me feel a thousand times better about my hair and the cut was only $20. They just raised their pricing so they are a little more on par with other nail salons in the area but are still cheap for nail services. I was going here for nails for a few months and wondering why the nail tech employees changed so much and why they weren't very busy. Eventually found out why: Frank has a terrible temper and has no idea about customer service in America, you have to be nice to your customers. He is not nice to his wife, Jenny, nor some of the customers. I heard him yelling at a customer for canceling, told him to never return. Jenny seems to be unhappy and on edge. Maybe the rent costs too much for them there. I couldn't take the intensity so now I go elsewhere. read more

I work in the neighborhood so the location is convenient and that is pretty much the reason i have been to this place twice. The quality isn't what i would call choice, however, you can't beat that price. I only have so much time to take a lunch and they can always fit you in. they gotta make that money money. that is a plus for sure. the downside: they are not very sanitary. i break my own rule going there but it's too convenient. you understand. you have done it before; gone against your better judgement to save time and some bread. i will continue to go, i mean, a shellac manicure is 20 dollars. the nail techs can do a simple mani but don't ask them to do anything complex, you just won't get what you want. I've been going to this salon for the shellac mani and pedi and even had waxing done on my brows. The salon is clean with easy to find parking. Many times I have been lucky and found a spot right in the front which is great for downtown Mounatin View. Jenny is a sweetheart and always takes her time with my nails. The other ladies are always seem pretty friendly too. I love the shellac manicure and like the massaging chair but cannot agree with the 2 week longevity of the shellac. 10 days tends to be the max for me-No fault of the salon, I think it's just me. I was in town visiting San Jose for a couple of days and was in great need of a mani fill and pedicure. I also needed my brows waxed. I stumbled upon this gem after driving around in the neighborhood looking for a shopping plaza. I checked the reviews online and decided to go in. This beauty salon was amazing. It was clean and did not smell. The ladies serviced me right away without a wait. My toes were soaked and exfoliated then I was a given a hot stone treatment. This all was included with the basic pedicure. My pedicure was 20 but I decided to get a design which totaled $25.00. Then I got a fill for my powder acrylic manicure. The nail tech listened to my request and thinned out my nails. She was also very gentle with her tools. The last nail shop I went to did a horrible job on my nails. They were too thick and wide and I was in pain from the tools that she was using. This nail tech was very gentle and she thinned our my nails. They look so natural. My only concern is that they would use new buffing brushes on their customers for sanitary reasons. The nails techs were very patient and kind. They also wore beautiful smiles. I wish I could take the nail tech back to Los Angeles with me. Please visit this salon...it's one of the best out there. My nails were $30 and my brows were $10.00. read more

I came in wanting a haircut, but the guy wasn't in. Apparently he is off on Tuesdays (or at least the Tuesday that I came in). So I settled for a pedicure. I was quoted $15 for regular mani, $20 for regular pedi, which are pretty decent prices for the South Bay (IMHO). Extra if you want gel (forgot how much because I didn't opt for it). Apparently if you do mani only, you can pay a couple extra to enjoy the massage chair. I'm pretty happy with the service. I will have to come back another day for the haircut I still need. read more

The staff was really friendly and actually engaged in conversation with you, which is a huge plus. They did a very nice job and my nails still look great over 10 days later. I have been here several times to get a manicure and pedicure, but my last experience was so disappointing, I won't be back. I had an appointment for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. They didn't have me down for the gel when I arrived, which was a red flag for me as I believe only one tech does them here. Still, they told me to pick my color and have a seat at the pedicure station. After I sat down, I received the most rushed and sloppy manicure and pedicure I'd had in a long time. They switched techs half way through and had someone doing my fingernails while I was getting the pedicure. Yup. Even with the gel polish! I had to awkwardly hold the light while having my arms pulled across me and then maneuver my hands in while they painted the other nails. All while trying to relax during my pedicure, which is my favorite part because of the hot stone and foot massage! I was in and out in 30 minutes. My fingernails started peeling around the edges that same day, and the gel fell off 3 days later. I would've gone back for a redo the day after my appt, but it was a Sunday (they're closed) and we had a wedding that day, then back the work grind on Monday. I simply didn't and don't have time to go back when something isn't done decently the first time. I'm really sorry the quality has gone downhill here. Their prices are excellent. All my previous experiences had been wonderful. I wish I had felt less rushed. It seemed like they just wanted to churn people out. read more

I decided to write this review since I had a terrible experience this weekend. I came to Jenny with no appointment on a Saturday morning, and she had too many costumers to accomodate me right away, so I decided to go to another nail salon and do my nails. Worst experience ever! Phoebe was great, 23$ for shellac manicure if I recall correctly, it was really fast and well quality. I usually do not go to cheap places as the hygiene may be off, but this one was clean. She used gloves and corrected enamel flaws with a brush (thankfully not with her own nails which I cannot stand). I should also note that if you want a smalltalk and personal questions it may not be the place, but I wanted neat and beautiful nails done which is a better tradeoff. read more

I'm so glad I chose to go here. My hair is naturally wavy and has had some terrible cuts in the past, to the point where I had to go super short just to 'sort of' fix it. I read other reviews and most of the clientele seems to be for mani-pedis, but a few mentioned Frank cutting their hair. Lucky for me, Frank cut my hair and I am so happy with it! He seemed to know what would be the best way to cut my hair and he was a perfectionist about it. I've been charged more for cuts that took mere minutes, so this experience was definitely a step up.
