I went to this nail salon yesterday for the first time. Overall, it's pretty good but I've had better service elsewhere. I would come again to try them out and see if it was just a bad day for them. I called ahead and scheduled an appt. which came in handy to not have to wait. I got an eyebrow wax and a pedicure with hot stone and Shellac. The waxing lady was friendly, and professional and did an excellent job! The pedicure was OK. The chairs have a good massage function. I think I was a little annoyed that the lady who was giving me my pedi, as she went to help someone else with a manicure without saying she was going to do so. It also took a long time for them to finish my nails and another lady had to finish the pedicure and ended up making a mistake and putting a layer of the wrong polish on and had to go back and fix it. The establishment is in an ideal location but I would expect a discount if they cannot do things in the professional manner I expected. read more

I've been coming to this location for a year now, since I can walk here from my apartment. Every single experience has been great. The women are so friendly, professional, and talented. Even when I walked out the door only to have my fiance step on my foot, the woman kindly fixed my pedicure. I might even come here and bring my bridesmaids before my wedding this summer. The hot stones are my favorite part of the pedicure. Also the price for a mani/pedi can't be beat. I'll be a return customer as long as I'm around CA! Thank you all :) read more

Shellac $20, supposed to last up to 3 weeks, chipped after ONE week, its been two weeks now and I need to get them redone. Not the best. I think she didn't leave me under the UV light long enough. read more

The service was friendly and relaxing, but TWO of my nails chipped within 48 hours (usually my nails don't chip for about 5-6 days after a professional manicure). I guess you get what you pay for, but if I go back I will bring my own polish! read more

Great Salon! Got my eyebrows and legs waxed and got a basic pedicure done. Wonderful job and friendly people. Prices are reasonable and worth it for the end product. read more

Well, it looks like most reviews here are from women for various salon needs. I'm a guy and was just way overdue for a haircut. I was downtown taking care of other business and decided to try walking in to MVH&N to see if I could get a 'cut in. Lots of ladies on the nail side, but nobody on the hair side. Frank was able to seat me right down and proceeded to buzz and clip away. Fast, steady, and great attention to detail on my dome. Just enough chit-chat for my liking (not much). The result was excellent, loved the price. My favorite is Johnny D's, but that is a haul when I'm in a hurry. The shop is clean and orderly. I'll go back for sure and would recommend Frank to any guy. My needs are simple, but I got the impression he could handle anything. read more

I visit here once a month for a regular manicure and pedicure ($30). Plus: Hot stone massage included with pedicure. The employees are accommodating and gentle. Phoebe is awesome! I recommend making an appointment, especially if you want to drop in around 5pm on a weekday. Parking is available in the back and on the side of neighboring streets. read more

Very excited I found this place . I am very rough with my hands as I work with kingarteners, but despite of my job, my nails have survived . I am very happy with this place and will definitely come back . read more

Worst customer service! Went in for a pedicure. Picked out a color but turned out that someone didn't fully close the cap. A steak of polish ended up on my pants. Although a lady started cleaning the floor, no one even bothered to apologize or ask if they could do something to deal with the stain. One woman even said that if she knew what to do, she would have told me. Another woman said that it wasn't their fault that someone didn't close the cap. Unbelievable! read more

This place is great for the price! $33 for French mani/pedi! It's a small, quiet place and isn't very busy. I walked in and didn't have to wait. The girl there was super sweet and they didn't do that gossipy thing that happens in most places. If you live in mtn view, I'd recommend it for price, ease of parking (lot is behind the strip of businesses) and good service. read more

I've come here 3 times hoping that each previous bad experience was a fluke, but looks like i wont ever be returning. They rush through everything, hastily pushing back and cutting cuticles--I had to ask that they fix certain tags they didn't catch. The paintjob was worse - bubbles everywhere, she messed up a few nail edges so used her fingernail to "smooth out" the tips of my nails after applying the top coat, which just made them raggedy, and barely waited between coats so the paint dried all wrinkly...When I pointed out this was really a bad job, showing her all the errors, she hastily redid one nail and just painted over the others. At this point I just gave up - I'll spend another 20 bucks somewhere else to get this redone. read more

For there to be a few nail techs and the amount of business yet receive, service is pretty good and the prices are much less than the nail salons in the south bay area. They do an excellent job of gel overlay on natural nails which is my favorite. Every pedicure includes a hot stone massage which would be mote expensive at another salon. read more

I have been coming here for over 5 years, Jenny and her crew is always friendly and welcoming. Their price for shellac is by far the lowest with that kind of quality workmanship! Appointments are recommended but on a walk-in basis, they'll always try to accommodate. read more

Fast and efficient not the best pedi I have had but they did a good enough job. 30 for gel pedi may seem steep but they last much longer so I don't go as often. They fit me in right away and have a lot to park in. I'd come back. read more

Ok. So. I've been here 3 times now, and every time, I've been very pleased! My manicures are always great. I'm not sure of the young woman's name, but she is very thorough. And the nail color always "pops" when she does them for me. They also last a lot longer than most of my gel/shellac manicures I get in the city. I work in the area, and I'm just going to start coming here for my manicures. The prices are great, and less tha what I pay in SF near my house. Plus, it's so close to the Caltrain, it's convenient to stop in before heading home. :) read more

I was looking for a cheap hair cut and found this place. A hair cut is only $12, and the service was polite, quiet, and attentive; exactly how I would like to be treated after a long day at work. Overall, I got a good hair cut for a nice cheap price, I look forward to coming back here for my next hair cut. read more

Wow, this place has terrible customer service. I called to make an appointment and told them I had to be finished by a certain time. Of course they promised and assured me that was totally fine. I showed up early for my appointment, waited 15 minutes and was then told they wouldn't be able to finish by the time I needed to leave. Ack! It was so frustrating because there are literally a dozen other nail salons I would have gone to otherwise. read more

I've been to dozens of salons to get my gel manicures and I can honestly say I like Jenny's work the most. I would rate this a five because of that but I did have a poor experience with another manicurist there who took over an hour to do a simple gel manicure that ended up lasting only a week. Jenny's French manicures and regular ones are excellent with very clean lines and they last a very long time. read more

Love this place! Very nice people who do a very good job. I started coming to break a nail biting habit and it has helped tremendously. Very reasonable prices. Not overly glamorous but clean and the service is great. I always call ahead but they don't turn away walk ins. read more

Jenny is fantastic. Never disappointed with my $30 mani/pedi. In fact, I've paid considerably more for a mani/pedi and haven't been as pleased with the results. Friendly atmosphere, and you don't need an appointment. Great location in downtown mountain view near the post office. read more

As other reviewers have said, this is not the most sanitary place, but for the price and work they do, it is well worth it. The ladies working on my mani and pedi spent a lot of time, and the total $30!! read more

This is my new go-to place! I went in for a pedicure and was very happy with my experience. The nail salon is in a great location - I had no problem finding parking, and it's conveniently in downtown mountain view. Price wise, it's hard to beat it ($20 for a pedicure). The place was clean and quiet. Linh took her time, spending about an hour on my pedicure, and did a great job (very neat, and a long foot massage). Nail polish aside, Linh was very sweet and friendly, and I'd definitely request her again. read more

I just moved to Mountain View and the salon was recommended to me. I really was happy to find it. I got such great service and the price was excellent. I paid $40 for mani-pedi with gel for my fingernails. Really excellent, and they took good care of my feet which are a major problem and need extra work, but they did not charge extra. Really good find and highly recommended. read more

Jenny and her staff are truly amazing! The service and attention to detail are among the best! My nails always look great and the pedicures and manicures last longer when I go here compared to other salons. The new location on shoreline is spacious, relaxing... Equipped with new fabulous massage chairs and equipment ! read more

I got a mani and pedi there and the ladies seemed to be nice and friendly. They take their time with your nails and feet. They massage chair felt very comfortable. I got shellac nails and it's been a week and they still look great. read more

Dropped in with a same-day appointment before leaving on vacation, at noon on a Monday for a mani-pedi. Very nice, friendly service. Clean, tidy salon (not super high end, but perfectly comfortable). Lots of attention to cuticles and prep, without a single 'ouch', and the polish looks fantastic! For $30, it's a bargain. I'll go back for sure. read more

LOVE this place!!!! I have been coming here a year and I've never been disappointed. Whether I walk in not knowing what I want or come in with something very specific in mind, Jenny never disappoints. She always ensures I'm happy with my nails and eye brows!! The prices are so affordable and the ladies really listen to what you want. I will not go anywhere else! read more

They are okay for the price you pay. I usually go to them for a regular mani/pedi. For more artistic designs I am a bit iffy about them as they seem to not have knowledge or resources for that. I also don't like their limited selection of nail colors. Other then that I enjoy their services as the ladies take their time cleaning and filing your nails. I also enjoy the hot stone massage and the massage chairs. I have been there two times during lunch and both times it was fairly slow so I guess that's a good thing and a bad thing? Overall, a good place for a regular mani/pedi... read more

This place is definitely a hidden gem!! It's never really super busy and usually me and my friend can just call in and give them a heads up that we're coming over in like 5 or 10 minutes. I got my first gel manicure done here (french tips) and only paid $25 dollars for it (including tip). It lasted for five full weeks. I even climbed some jagged, mussel-covered sea rocks the day after I got them and did a lot of grimy and gritty fingernail-involving activities and they stayed put. This place is PRIME. read more

Love this place! Everybody is so friendly and they do a great job. I love going to places where they remember me and what I like to get done. I have recommended many friends and family and all of them have said the same. 5 stars all the way!! read more

$25 for gel mani in Mountain View? I remember my previous regular mani in another place in MTV costs $22, so I really lucked out! This place is clean, professional, and great customer service. I can't recommend this place high enough! I am so in love with my gel mani!! :) read more

Just got a really good manicure here. This place is open late, which is fantastic, and everyone working there is really friendly. The place is really nice inside and very sanitary. Also my manicure was only $10 and included a base coat, two paint coats, and a top coat. My sister got a mani-pedi and it only put her back $30. My one negative is that they don't have a huge range of colors. Otherwise, I'm definitely coming back. read more

Frank is very good, but you have to make appoinment 1-2 days ahead.

I've been here twice. Had two very different experiences. First time was for a gel manicure. It was perfect. Lasted longer than expected and was done with care. Second time I came back for a regular mani/pedi, on a weekday, during the day. They weren't busy, but seemed rushed and did a poor job shaping my nails. Also, the polish chipped very quickly. I'd go back for gels, but not anything else. read more

Best haircut around! I've been getting my hair cut by Frank since 2009 and have yet to find a more thorough hair dresser with the kindness and price that Frank brings to all of his customers. Frank remembers me by name and the style of cut I prefer, even after moving away for 3 years and returning to the area. Frank provides a salon-style hair service that I've never been able to attain with other hair dressers, both within mountain view and other areas of the United States. Long story short, if you're looking for a quality haircut with an experienced hair dresser for a price that won't break the bank, Frank is the man to go to! read more

They did a fantastic job with my friend and my toenails, however, my friend was accidentally bled a little and ended up with a sore and slight infection in their nail. I also noticed they didn't use plastic sterilization wrapping around the foot tubs - likely just scrubbed between sessions. Otherwise did a great job! Prices seemed a bit high too? Maybe because we're in Mountain View read more

Mountain View Hair and Nail has moved and changed names. They are now "Bailey Beauty Salon" at 570 N Shoreline Blvd in Mountain View. (In the safeway shopping center. They are around the left side, facing the side street) Same phone number. Same staff. Even the same prices, despite the great new look & location. read more

It's a really nice and quiet place, and Jenny and Frank are super nice. Everything is good: manipedis are only $30 (with a long massage!), and Men's haircuts $12. It's always wise to make an appointment, just in case. Parking is also easy; it's just behind the shop. read more

This review is for Frank for the Men's haircut. Had been going to the old location for years. In the new location, impossible to get appointments with him. This weekend, finally got an appointment and showed up at the agreed upon time to find him busy with another client. After waiting for almost 30 mins, he actually took on another walk-in- shrugging his shoulders when I reminded him of my appointment. Very disappointed and definitely not coming back here. read more
