It is wonderful to have a local insurance agency that is responsive to the needs of their customers. Excellent customer service is rare these days but you will find it at Dean Ballenger Agency.

I didn't get a response after writing back that I'm only shopping home insurance. Second red flag. Maybe they're doing quite well and only focus on those particular households that are looking for both. One would think it's a copy/paste response with an obvious error because the agent wrote something I didn't provide...that my daughter "may be moving out of state". She's quite young, my wife and our marriage are both solid, I'm not going to ship her off to a random state 1,000 miles away....that response was very weird. THIRD RED FLAG! At the end of the email they asked to provide a review, so here it is.

Since then, he has handled my renters Ins, auto, home owners, back to renters, and so on. Every year on my birthday he would call and check to make sure I didn't make any new purchases that needed coverage, and to see how my year was going. I truly appreciated that he stood true to the company namesake, and treated me like family. Every time I had a fender bender his first question was Are you Ok? There were times I had forgotten to write my check out. He would call me and ask me if everything was ok. He never just let it lapse on me. He took it upon himself to make sure I was covered. He is the reason that I stayed with American Family all of those years. When I recently moved to Tampa, Mr Clore informed me that American Family does not service Florida. I was very disappointed that I had to leave the group. American Family May not be the cheapest insurance, but Mr Clore is the best agent. He is why I stayed for so long! Thank you for all your hard work over the years Mr Clore.
