Energy Sharks - AFFORDABLE HEATING & AC COMPANY IN SIMPSONVILLE

TERRIBLE experience with this company. The York unit we bought and had installed had a bad coil…read moreafter 6 months. They sent one crew out to fix it and two days later it didn't work again. They sent another crew out who bad-mouthed the first crew. We were out of AC for 8 days in 90 degree heat. Poor communication, poor followup and they are under new management. Phil Esposito's no longer owns the company. They may be cheaper but sometimes you get what you pay for

As of today, we were forced to install an entirely new HVAC unit to replace the one we purchased…read moreonly 15 months ago from Energy Sharks. The original unit we were sold is no longer manufactured with replacement parts available. After waiting extensively for a resolution, we ultimately had no choice but to move forward with purchasing a new unit - this time the correct size. During this process, we also learned that the explanations previously given to us, by Energy Sharks ,that the problems were due to using the wrong filters, that the system was filthy, and that nothing could be done - were false. The new installer worked directly with York to help us secure another unit, but we still incurred an additional cost of $6,200 for installation. In total, within just 16 months, we have spent over $15,000 to have a functional HVAC system - double what the actual cost should have been. My concern remains that others may be misled or treated as poorly as we have been, and I do not want additional consumers to experience the same level of frustration and financial burden. I would encourage everyone to just look through the recent reviews to see how bad this company has become. New ownership came with horrible people.

My unit died 2 months ago and when i called All Weather Services, no one called me back, so i called another company. The new company told me that it looked like the unit had never been cleaned and serviced and the collective debris had caused the unit to "short out" and damage several parts. The new company had to replace my unit because the cost to repair was prohibitive. I advise against using this company. Also they charged me for a coil replacement which the new company said was not done!

I don't know what is going on with this company but if you are looking for HVAC service, please…read morelook elsewhere. I purchased my home system from them in 2008 for $5300. The problems started shortly after install when I asked them to work on the failing duct-work. One particular duct fell off the boot after becoming waterlogged. The tech refused to come back out because he was afraid of the mold on the duct-work. I had to buy a new duct and put it up myself. Fast forward 9 years. I've been using another company to service the unit. Finally on 7-25-2017 in the heat the AC stopped putting out cold air. I felt there must be a real problem so I called AWS for help. They couldn't come right away and when they did, they came unannounced, so I wasn't home. The tech called and said he made some adjustment so it would not pull so much power and that the compressor was knocking and the condenser fins was stopped up. He cleaned them, called and collected their fee $170. I thought all was well for the moment but the next day no AC. I decided to take a look around so I opened my crawlspace door only to find the very AC Duct I replaced 9 years ago laying on the ground pumping all the cold air into the crawlspace. It had apparently been there for days judging from all the condensation on the insulation. That means the tech never opened the crawlspace door nor checked out the evaporator or anything under the house. I had to trek to HomeDepot and buy a new duct and this time the expensive tools to put it on correctly this time. I called AWS and told them what I discovered but the boss didn't seem too concerned. I asked them to return and check out my repairs. I haven't seen or heard from them.

They came out in February suggesting a complete new system. 1)They cut a vent in our hardwood floor in a very bad place. 2) we called them because there was debris in our floor vent. They didn't replace the sheet metal boots. "Its not in our contract " 3)They told us we would receive $850 Visa card. It was $550. 4) they knew the pad for the unit was not level, Josh the sales man, said we will level the unit. They didn't LEVEL THE PAD. now water runs back to our foundation and under our house. And again "not in the contract " As a home owner. A complete $30,000 system would have covered all the above

We placed a service call with the after-hours service I did follow up with the local office the next morning. Courtney had already seen the scheduled appointment for the next day and moved it to an earlier time slot. Connor arrived the next day even earlier than the scheduled time. We were impressed and pleased with the service we received from Connor. He is an exceptionally professional young man and very well educated in the HVAC industry. He quickly and accurately diagnosed and resolved the issue. Childers is fortunate to have Connor as an employee!!!
