Love bahama bucks!! Great sweet treat in the hot summer and nice way to cool off! Staff are kind and sour patch sauce is amazing!

I will never go here again! I ordered a box of 24 Snoblast online, selecting the "frozen" option. When I picked up my order, I noticed that the box was torn open. Upon getting to my vehicle and opening the box, I discovered that there were only 23 Snoblasts, and none of them were frozen--they were all liquid! To make matters worse, there were no spoons included with my order. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I won't be returning. read more

Disappointed today, because usually when I come here it's good but this time they just gave me shaved ice no flavor. I could've made this at home with a blender read more

Stopped in for a nice ice cold treat. Guess what, it's all white underneath. For some reason, this location cannot put enough flavoring whatsoever. I called and they said that they would take care of it, we will see you when we stop back in. For now, one star rating. read more

Very disappointed. Normally love coming here because they are always heavy on the syrup. I ordered a two flavor snowcone. There was little to none of the pink cotton candy flavor. After just eating the top layer it's all ice, had to throw away. read more

I came here yesterday and all I can say is, it wasn't worth it. I came in and nobody said welcome in which is okay but at the register I told the young man how are you doing and he looked at me with a blank stare waiting for me to order. After I ordered I had to wait about 25-30 minutes for 2 snow cones and they had about 6 workers that night. It seems like they only work fast when you're at the drive thru. Once I received my snow cone the cup was broken. I just wouldn't waste my time over here again. read more

There was something in my sno cone the black particle ! I did go back to get my refund so hopefully that processes back to my bank since it was an online order! The worker stated oh it was probably from the ice machine. Which doesn't make it better maybe should clean or check in between orders! But Also the ice was not smooth like normal it was crunchy ,I guess they changed the texture or got new ice! read more

Lord of the Flies. 3 stars is not surprising. If I were the owner or manager I would be embarrassed. They have a bunch of children running this place with a disregard for safety. My family and I visited this location at about 7 pm on 6/23. We were served broken styrofoam cups so who knows if it was in our shaved ice. But that's the tip of the iceberg. I had to explain to my 10 year old that one of the employees were stealing. Because he asked if she worked there. Because she had just walked in plain clothes no uniform. Went behind the counter and made at least four drinks for her friends. So I had to explain that she probably does work here but not at this moment and she is giving away product that she probably shouldn't be. Great example to set for my children. read more

I came in and was in the drive through at 10 pm along with 2 other cars in front of me. Well they helped the other 2 cars and when it got to me the girl at the window said they were closed. It's literally 1007 the website states they close at 11pm..Needless to say I'm one annoyed pregnant lady! read more

So very slow inside and drive through. Lots of people were leaving before ordering. We literally sat for 40+ mins in a drive through line to get our treat. The girl at the window was wearing gloves to take our money and to do the food also, huge safety violation there. We will never be back and I hope management steps in soon. read more

I thought it was fitting to go get a snow cone today as it is the hottest day of the year, and it did not disappoint! We got Sugar free white coconut, Sour blue raspberry and strawberry and the bomb pop. My daughter was a little turned off by the bomb pop because it was as more tart than she expected (the menu doesn't tell you what the different colors are). Now we know to pick a different one next time. It was pretty dirty inside, but I'm giving them The benefit of the doubt and hoping it was because of how busy they were. read more

I honestly hadn't been to a Bahama Bucks since moving to North Texas several years ago. The kids here are fast and they always get our orders right. That being said, they are still high school kids so they can be weird on the drive thru mic. But they're just having fun so be nice! read more

This place got a 3 star review because after we arrived, they started mopping and the bleach smell and fumes was really strong. It ruined the taste of my snow cone. The kitchen is a mess there's bugs all over the place and behind the counter tons of flies in the syrup bottels

First of all the place smells gross, as other reviewers have stated it smells like something has gone bad. I went through the drive thru, as soon as the window open I got a foul smell but I thought it might be something outside. Now I know from others it's the actual place that smells like that. Second - Snow cones are mid at best. Had ordered a smoothie also, that was already melting literally seconds after handing it to me. Workers are teens so good luck getting them to care about anything. They just wanna goof. Go to a small snow cone place instead - I definitely won't return. read more

Whoever was working on Saturday 26th dark hair, literally ignored me at the pick up area as I waited there for 10 minutes straight to the point where I had to go to the line where you go to order to get any attention. My strawberry lemonade was not overly sweet either, which is great! It was a hot day and I didn't want an upset stomach. Good experience! read more

It's sad that I have to give this place a negative review because their snow cones are amazing however... my daughter has been employed there for about 3 months and has received 1 paycheck and the owner just gives her cash when I complain. they are not paying their employees and taking advantage of naive teenagers. needless to say she is no longer working there but other kids and parents need to beware of the shady practices going on there. read more

I came here with my bf because I have been to one in a long time and he had never been and look I'm a food industry worker myself ive worked at many types of food service companies so I hate complaining but ; for starters I found it quite odd that it's only two teenagers working right before close. I don't think there was a manager or at least on the floor. They weren't rude by any means but they seem way too young to be by themselves without some sort of management present. Second and most important thing is , I got the wavebender smoothie which sounded so amazing but when I tasted it it was very similar to the smell of a candle or soap. The taste was not as good as it sounded but that's not even the worst part...the smoothie made my stomach BURN.... Like made me violently nauseous and when my bf tried it even he said it made him feel sick. Idk if the fruit yall use is bad or if the workers aren't doing the right sanitation steps after use but something isn't right . I don't like leaving bad reviews but I've been laying in bed trying not to throw up since we got home... read more

Honestly I wouldn't even give this location a 1 star. Most of the cup was just shaved ice. And the corner of the cup was cracked. We ordered two different flavors and they both didn't taste the same. No rating change, just a bit of new-ish info. Very impressive selection of 0 calories "Thin Ice" options. I counted about 20 on the "thin" menu. "For the health-conscious guests out there, we have a sugar-free, carb-free, fat-free, and cholesterol-free option! You can still enjoy the ultimate tropical experience while keeping up your healthy lifestyle. " I thought the "snow 2 thow", i.e. a box of snowballs, was a pretty cool (he he) idea. ""Sno" kidding--SnoBalls year round! Buck's powder-soft spheres of fluffy Sno come in packs of 24 or in a box of 60 in their own thermal "super cooler." Sno2Throw SnoBalls are perfect for parties, events, or just for some cool, clean fun. " I sat outside and could hear the orders being places at the drive through. What is it with the Birthday Cake flavor? I'd say fully 90% of the orders were for this one flavor. Makes me want to go back (buck?) to try it. Maybe I will. Bottom Line: Yo yo yo! read more

Life is like a beach when you're at Bahama Buck's. No one can beat their coastal decor: surf boards attached to the wall, bananas hanging from a rope, glass bottles of colorful flavoring, and shaved ice topped with adorable umbrellas. Not to mention the unique tropical names for the different flavors of shaved ice, such as hurricane coladas, Jamaican rum, toasted coconut, etc. Unlike the budget shaved ice from food trucks that run around $1-$2, the ice here is smooth. They come in different sizes: 8, 12, 16, 20, & 32 ounces. My favorite is the Bahama Rama Mama! It's made up of ice cream, sno, and tropic creme. I like to add chamoy to give it a little more acidity. The best part is that vanilla ice cream, giving the snow a creamy texture. Delicious! Another popular item is the birthday cake with sprinkles, which I have yet to try. They also sell lattes, espresso, and smoothies if you're not all about that snow. I love the layout of this place. There's the option to eat your dessert inside, sit outside under patio umbrellas, or take the drive thru. I will undoubtedly be back for more. read more

We ordered 4 party packs for a company event two weeks in advance. Day of the event we arrive to pick up our order and it was not ready because they lost the order. They said they would be able to get it together in 10-20 minutes. 45 minutes later we get our order. They did offer coupons for 3 free snowcones to make up for their mistake. Our event was half over by the time we got back to the office. Also, when calling in the order, I asked for a receipt to be emailed so I could expense the purchase. They refused and said we would get a receipt when we picked up the order. We did not receive a receipt. I tried calling the next day to ask about the receipt, but the would not answer the phone. I ended up going to the location on my lunch hour to get a receipt. They lost the receipt and could not reproduce it. They took a blank piece of paper & wrote "4 party packs" and the amount. No logo on the paper or anything to prove where this purchase was made. Nothing usable for submitting an expense report. I would not recommend this business for any corporate events. They are not prepared to offer the necessary reliable services. read more

By far one of my top places to go year round. I LOVE coming here. The service is always on point. I was very hesitate today about the "sour sand" (under add ons) but a couple of the lady workers reassured me that it tasted really good. I took their word for it and I'm glad I did!! It paired well with my flavors. I challenge myself each time to go outside of my comfort zone and try something different. I fall in love with every new combination I come up with. On May 22nd I placed an order online for 5 coolers of snowballs. Every year we throw a fun "last day of school bash" for the kids. Previously it's been paintballs or water balloons, but this year we wanted to try something new. The coolers were set to be delivered May 26th around 3:30pm. Early that morning, we received news that our party of 10 dropped to 3(due to a medical emergenc), and decided it would be best to cancel altogether. Bahama bucks opened at 11am that morning, and while standing outside participating in my daughters 4th grade clap out, I made the call to cancel. The "manager" that answered just a few minutes after 11am told me that wasn't possible because they had already been made. I confirmed they had JUST opened for the day, to which she acknowledged but stated the crew had gotten there earlier that morning to start making orders. She wasn't offering any suggestions so I asked if it would be possible to hold the snowballs overnight and I pick them up the next day. She stated that was fine, she'd personally be there until 5pm and to make sure I called before then to give her an official answer. At 3:50pm, a poor, unknowing, Uber/Door dash driver pulled up and started walking the first cooler towards me. I profusely apologized for the inconvenience to him and immediately called Bahama Bucks again. This time, another manager answered the phone. The girl I spoke with originally had "left early" and no one else was aware of the situation. As I'm explaining this again, the driver next to me gives a puzzled look. According to him, my delivery was a little late because HE HAD TO WAIT FOR THEM TO FINISH MAKING THE SNOWBALLS. Contrary to the "we made them early this morning" I was told a few hours prior. The new manager said no problem, he would cancel the order and refund and I sent the driver back on his way (to which Bahama Bucks was aware of as well). Fast forward 42 days, MULTIPLE phone calls, messages every time with my name and phone number, a personal visit to the store, a message on their Facebook page AND a complaint filled out on their "contact us" portion of their website later....and I'm still waiting on my $160 . I will be making a more vocal and aggressive visit soon. I've been extremely pleasant and understanding this entire time. But frame me for 6 weeks with multiple lies, and I won't play nice any more If you're ever in the mood for an incredibly soft and delicious snowcone, Pelicans in Roanoke is absolutely amazing! read more
