If you're interested in getting yelled at in front of your kids, this is the place for you! Don't ask questions. Don't add extra snow cones last second. Don't park and walk up to order immediately if other people walked up to look at the sign for a bit when you were walking up. Don't ask what flavors are in her Barbie mix. If you're looking for a cheap snow cone experience with a bunch of flavors to choose from, this is the spot. Nothing super fancy here, just good ol' fashion snow cones with sugary syrups that will cool you down in this Texas heat. It's a very small dingy looking shack located in the parking lot near a burger/steak restaurant. The wife and I shared a small snow cone and it costs a little over $2 (dirt cheap). You get to choose 2 different flavors. We chose sour apple and strawberry kiwi. They drench it with plenty of syrup and the ice is super soft/fluffy. Be careful not to eat it too fast or you'll end up with a brain freeze like me. We try to take it easy on sweets, so it was the perfect portion to share. They have a bench and two tables for outdoor seating. I see a bunch of people just taking it to go though. Eat it fast because the heat will definitely melt it in minutes! read more

First of all she makes the BEST snow cones, period. She doesn't skimp on the syrup so you're not left with colored ice at the end and you don't have huge chunks of ice either. It's nice and smooth. This was my first snowcone experience and boy did I underestimate how much I would love them! My boyfriend is a seasoned snowcone eater and when his usual place was closed we gave texas snow a shot, he was defiantly impressed and it has since moved up on his favorite snowcone joints list. They biggest perks: open late and accept credit. Never again will we have to scrounge around for cash or wonder if its too late for a treat. The owner is so friendly and makes a mean snowcone. We have tried a variety of flavors and love not only the traditional cream and condensed milk toppings but others like chocolate and caramel as well. This is my new favorite late night snack. There's nothing particularly wrong or exceptional with the snow cones per se, however my issues with Texas Snow are fourfold. First let me say that we are snowcone regulars. We frequent all the local stands so I believe there's fair comparison. That being said I've been here a small handful of times now and as evidenced by my rating I won't be back. 1. Prices are higher than others nearby. It's nice they take debit cards but even comparable to others that take cards, they're still higher. 2. My sister asked her if she uses Best Maid pickle juice before ordering her snowcone and she told her definitively YES, however she flat out lied and it was something else, a cheaper product. 3. She won't give samples. (Or straws for that matter, you have to ask). 4. I typically do not write personal comments in my reviews but this one I found necessary after 3 separate back-to-back experiences of rudeness. The same woman has been there each time I've been, the owner I presume. Any questions for her are met with inpatient, condescending responses, followed by over-the-top niceness as if she's realized she's being rude and trying to compensate. Seems a little manic to me. We've left feeling frustrated one too many times and won't be back. I hate leaving bad reviews.. *Sigh* read more
