Came in after seeing the Dr Pepper sno advertised on facebook. I brought my kids so I ordered for them first and then when it was my time I ordered the Dr.pepper sno but then got terrible news that they don't have it and I asked if they'd be getting it back and they said no. I was heart broken because it looked so good and even more sad how much it was advertised in the store and on social media for that location just for them not to have it. Bummer:( But my kids did however get a Oreo sno and the other got a unicorn sno that was definitely loaded which flavor but surprisingly the Oreo I liked better they crunchy cookie and soft sno just works. read more

First time here, love my shaved ice. Various flavors to choose from along with several sizes as well. Pleasant atmosphere with indoor or outdoor seating available. Service was ok the young kids didn't pay attention to us as they should when we entered & had to re-order our ice again but all ok. read more

Bahama Bucks had some of the best shaved ice I've ever had. I came late at night on a weekday so it wasn't too crowded. There were OVER 50 flavors to choose from ranging from strawberry to Orange Fanta. The service was friendly and I got a gummy bear flavor shaved ice and how they make the shaved ice is incredible. They literally had a 10 pound block of ice and had my dessert shaved to order. The gummy bears were Albanese and they complimented the gummy bear flavored syrup amazingly. I would eat here again no doubt. read more

For starters, it was hard to find a shaved ice place in Brandon that was on Yelp that wasn't closed (either for the day or just the business itself closed down). For parents of young kids, there is a nice little play area outside for the kids. There's a variety of sizes to choose from. We ordered the regular size (16oz) and it was A LOT of flavored shaved ice. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Definitely will return read more

This is my new fav spot to get a snowball. It was a lot different from what I'm used to but very delicious. I can't wait to try more flavors. When the gentleman was making my drink I was concerned that he didn't add enough of the syrup. Boy was I wrong! He added just enough and it was super flavorful until the last bit. Can't wait to go back and try more flavors! Staff is super friendly and good at what they do! read more

Highly recommend the Mango Dragonfruit smoothie, it's delicious. My friend tried the Paradise Royale and wasn't as impressed with her drink. The employee was very nice and fast to make the drinks even though she had to deal with multiple customers back to back. There's limited seating inside but they have more seating and several larger tables outside with shade and fans overhead. So glad we found this place by chance. Will definitely come back again if in the area. read more

Great shave ice with all kinds of options. The service and people working there are a bonus. Right now they have holiday flavors with fun decorations. The flavors are endless. Example not just root beer, but root beer float which adds a vanilla flavor. And how about Cream Soda to take that a step further. Some of the flavors are different than what you can get at most other places and they will let you sample before they put it on ice. The shave ice is perfectly concocted and so yummy just by itself. The servings are large. You aren't drinking a soda, so it goes a long way. I got a 22ish ounce one and could have easily been shared with someone else. You can also get multiple flavors side by side. Great place that is a bit off the beaten path, but OH SO WORTH IT! read more

Delicious! Excellent service! Super nice people! We had 2 samples before we made our choice and she was very patient with us as well as helpful in recommending things for my son. I had a piña colada and passion fruit combo with gummy bears, and my kid had a sour patch kids red/blue with sour patch sauce on it. They really layer the toppings into the shaved ice. I was continuously surprised by little Gummi bears as I got further into my treat and even shared some with my son who kept getting bursts of sour sauce as he got into his. So I happened to pass by this place on my way to Publix and wanted to check it out. Since the day was a bit warm and muggy, I did feel in the mood for something cold. The place turn out to be quite friendly and welcoming, although I had the poor guy waiting on me to decide what to order, since it was my first time there. He did offer some suggestions. The menu had so many delicious options it was a bit hard to decide. But in the end, I decided to go for the Wave Bender. The wavebender is a delicious smoothie with fresh bananas, pineapple juice, Rum flavors, and Coconut flavors all blended together. The only wipe out you'll experience is the last sip through the straw...literally. It's that good. Definitely recommend this place to try out thier different options flavors. read more

Do not recommend. I have been in the past where the service and shaved ice had been amazing. However the past few times it has been awful and I will not be returning. All the shaved ice cups have been wrong sized, wrong flavors and the service was horrible. Rude and snippy and not welcoming at all. The overall quality and ambiance was dirty and not kept. Sticky counters... trash on the floor... no one washed their hands or wore glares when making the cones. Do not recommend.... read more

Ordered from home since I randomly found the place nearby on doordash and their shaved ice is AMAZING. I had the Pina Colada with another one I gave to my family member and we both really enjoyed it. They have hundreds of flavors that can get overwhelming just looking at it. I couldn't decide on the flavor and up with jamiacan rum, passion fruit. My kids got the ice cream combined with icy. The jamiacan rum after a few bites has a weird tastes. After seeing all the flavors I don't care too much for it. The cashier was friendly I just think they should be more helpful with helping to choose a flavor and their recommendations. I gave it a 4 star bc 1 out 4 kids really enjoyed the icy read more

I had no idea this location just opened but boy was I happy they were. I was in the area and wanted a snow ball. Ironically there aren't any places like this in the Bradenton/Sarasota area. Being a New Orleans native, snow balls are a custom on a summer hot day. I couldn't wait to chow down on a Wedding Cake flavored snow ball. It was everything I expected. Perfect soft shaved ice, huge variety of flavors, and more than just snow ball frozen treats. They offer coffee drinks, ice cream, and a mix of snow balls & ice cream. Sadly every time I eat one, I always want another one. Will be back. read more

I've had their smoothies and shaved ice. They. Are. Amazing! I was hesitant in getting shaved ice because most places don't put enough juice in it, which leaves you tasting plain ice. Not here! Also, they have a cool program where you get a free cup (any size) after you buy 10 of them. You can see in the picture my free one. I got the Everest size with sour blue raspberry mixed with, tropic creme, condensed milk, jolly ranchers, sour patch sauce, and party sprinkles. This is the best combo ever! read more

We came by on a Friday night before the storm and it was packed. Came in the back door so it was a bit confusing with all the people waiting for their ice. We made our way to order and was handed a menu. We ordered a small black cherry and watched and waited. The people working were still learning and seemed a bit confused. I think the owner and family were working helping others learn the ropes. We did not wait long and enjoyed the Eat yellow snow sign. Took ours to go and enjoyed in the car and at home. We thought it was ok and will bring our kids to try next time. read more

I honestly haven't had a better shave ice (or sno cone, Italian ice, whatever you want to call it) anywhere in my entire life. The ice is shaved nice and thin, the prices are very reasonable, and they have a lot more flavor options than any place I can remember. There are other menu options as well, such as mixing ice cream in with your shave ice, or getting a milkshake. Overall, this is my new go to place for either an after dinner dessert, or just a random stop for a sweet treat during the day! read more

We love Bahama Bucks so much. The product is outstanding. All of the flavor combinations are amazing. I love that there are a thousand different sizes and combos to choose from. The service is great too... That said, the store is mostly staffed by teenagers with really poor hygiene practices. Every time I've visited, the workers don't wear gloves. Which wouldn't be THAT big deal (if they washed their hands), but all of the drinks require the workers to use freshly cut fruit and scoop ice cream. So they're digging their bare hands around in freshly cut, messy, slimy fruit. I've seen them serve 10 customers in a row, from cashiering to making the drinks, without washing their hands. They wipe them on their jeans, touch their face and hair, etc. Last Friday, one girl had a nasty, mesh bandaid on her thumb. It was clearly worn out. She proceeded to cut a fresh banana with her bare hands, rubbing the bandaid all over it. I actually changed my order to not include banana because I was so grossed out. Thank God another girl made my drink, but that one didn't wear gloves either. At least she didn't have a gross bandaid though. Its honestly even grosser because a lot of these young ladies have these long, decorated acrylic nails that are just germ traps. I don't really get it though. They have gloves everywhere, clean sinks labeled as hand washing sinks. It doesn't make sense and I'm pretty sure it's a major health violation. Otherwise, I would give them 5 stars. If I go back again, I'll probably ask the girls to put on gloves before making my drink. But I really wish management would just enforce it so the customer didn't have to be put in such an awkward position. Hoping management sees this, makes the change and I can come back here to leave a better review - the review that the product actually deserves if the hygiene wasn't so poor! read more

I'm a bit crazy about Bahama Buck's. We have been so many times and have only had great experiences and delicious ice flavors. When I was growing up there was a man that drove a Hawaiian shaved ice truck that lived down the street from me. On 4th of July, he'd open up shop and give everyone free shaved iced to celebrate. Bahama Bucks is the one place that truly took me back to that time as cheesy as it sounds. Their ice is so soft and smooth. Every flavor I've had tastes exactly like you'd think it should. (Banana, Cotton Candy, Cherry, Cherry Coke, Strawberry, Watermelon, Root Beer, Orange soda...) They're my favorite treat. I've only had the regular flavors and never tried the thin ice ones. I recommend it to anyone. I'm so glad to have a spot like this so close to home. read more

So glad this came in our area! I've already been three times and have had a great experience every time. Staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable on everything.
