Place is going downhill on quality and quantity. Silverware was dirty. Service was lacking. I ordered the fish tacos with yellow beans and rice. They brought fries instead of the beans. When I pointed this out, he took the entire plate back to the kitchen. Came back a few minutes later with my cold tacos and a black bean soup... when I told him I didn't order the soup, he looked annoyed as if I was going to make him go back to the kitchen. No rice came out either.. basically my order was wrong and I was getting it in bits and pieces. Not good. Tacos were ok but cold. My husband barely got any fries on his plate. I was looking forward to coming in here for happy hour when we had to go to the mall, since we been here many times before . We were rather disappointed. We ordered the mango and pineapple martini and the calamari dish. We liked the taste of the martini, it was sweet and fruity,but it lacked any liquor at all. It was more like fruit punch, not worth the half price of $5. This seem the order of things here now, no alcohol in the fruity drinks. As for the calamari, again not worth it, the sauce was spicy and good, but the calamari itself was not fresh and approximately half was tentacles, which was chewy and tough. I wish I could give 0 stars. I went out for dinner with my boyfriend (a first - time breezer) and my parents. Let's start with the drinks, my mom ordered the Bahamarita, which is a signature drink on the menu with mango, kiwi, strawberry, and lemon lime... I'm not sure why she had to request they make a signature drink the way it's SUPPOSED to be made, with the kiwi included. The waitress excused the restaurant by stating it was because their bar was too small and they only really make the margaritas the way it is described on the menu when it is requested, it was almost as if she was fishing for a good tip by bringing what was on the menu as a "special request." PREPOSTEROUS. When they finally brought the drink out, the shot glass attached to the drink was dripping all over the table. My boyfriend and I had the ultimate pink colada, they were sloppy but tasted alright. Dad was the smart one, just a bottle of Heineken. The meals were ok, at best. My dad had to send back the Mahi Mahi as it was wayyy overcooked. Disappointment. My mom and I had the Jamaica jerk chicken, eh. Boyfriend ate the jerk chicken pasta, the only one who liked his meal. & here's what prompted this review: my dessert. I ordered the banana nut bread supreme. What a BAD mistake. After the waitress served me, I took one look at it and was confused. They gave me a ROTTEN banana. Wtf? They are carbon copies of each other from the menu choices to the decor to the seating and staff. Service is attentive and food is solid but not anything overwhelming. Plenty of seafood choices, along with appetizers and meats. Full bar with plenty of frozen drink concoctions. Kind of a Caribbean flair mixed in with a touch of American and Mediterranean. They cover a lot of bases at Bahama Breeze. You can even eat a bit healthy here. Had the grilled salmon with green beans and cinnamon mashed sweet potatoes. Not a bad dish at all. Good prices too. The bartenders acted as if they didn't want to be bothered with anyone but with the Men who sat down. For example, she was often seen chit chatting way to much with the same Man, lingering for long periods even after he received his drinks, giving goo goo eyes and all, Brady Bunch smiles. She never checked on the other couples sitting at the bar... Then I watched as another Man approached the bar she began her entire show again...(Flirting) Maybe she should audition for the Bachelor show because she's definitely not succeeding at Bartending... I came here with my grandparents for lunch since unbeknownst to me and my family it is there new favorite spot they visit twice a week. The food is good, to my grandfathers dismay they don't serve cod but they do have mahi-mahi which i had to convince him it was better then cod. They one new thing i tried here was the yucca fries, my grandmother had go on and on about them, even changing my grandfathers order from the regular fries to the yucca ones. The food is also heavenly, I like it a lot better than Cheeseburger in Paradise (not surprised the Wayne location went belly-up). Try the Yucca fries, chips n salsa, chicken empanadas, the Peruvian corn cakes for appetizers. My favorite entree has to be the salmon (done any way), and the burgers. The first thing I noticed (and I like) is that the bar is not littered with TV's, so it maintains the Bahamas vibe. In my hometown, every bar/restaurant is like a multi-media experience these days. Anyway, I digress,,, The service was very friendly and professional. The firecracker shrimp appetizer was fresh tasting and medium spicy, recommended. To be fair, I do not normally eat at chain restaurants due to the uninspired, generic menu that is offered. I like foods that are specialized in a region, that cannot be replicated just anywhere. I was here for a business lunch and the client chose the location. The menu is heavy with seafood and I went with one of the specials, a wood grilled tuna with peppers over basmati rice. It was fine - nothing spectacular but eatable. If given the choice I would not eat here again. So many of the fish dishes were topped with a "butter sauce" or a "cream sauce". Too fatty, too heavy. Being the food snob that I am, I would pick a more of a neighborhood spot if given the chance. read more

I like to go here when the weather is nice because they have an outdoor deck. The food is usually okay, I think people go more for the drinks. I had the shrimp and lobster quesadilla - not sure there was actually any lobster in there. If there was it was minimal. There was live music, but it was hard to hear because they still had the regular music playing on the built in speakers. We asked our waiter if they were going to shut off the regular music while the live music was playing out on the deck where we were sitting, he explained that they couldn't because those speakers were the same speakers that played the music inside the restaurant as well. They didn't come with any type of salsa or pico and they were really dry. DO NOT ORDER THE FISH TACOS!! i ended up eating off of my gf's plate. the garlic mash was very creamy and delish and the fish was really good. the almond crust gave a great crunch to the flaky fish...
