I've been coming to this restaurant for many years and it never lets me down. I think their drink menu is so fun and the food/desserts are super yummy. The vibe in there is different because it's kind of a theme restaurant so it's tropical and feels fun and flirty. I love to sit by the fire pit they have. The waitress was attentive at first, however when another large party came in and then two additional tables (my thought was she was slammed, however still friendly) We ordered a few appetizers, which gave most of us a variety of tastes. Beef Empanadas (good with dipping sauce), Crab & Three Cheese dip (a bit gritty, however good taste - especially with the chips) and Jamaican Jerk Wings (Loved them great spice and flavorful...if you can't take spicy be sure to have something close by to cool your mouth. This taster was pleased with the starters. The main dish of the reviewer Seafood Paella fell really flat. The seafood was slightly over cooked, the mussels were (a couple of them) gritty and the rice did not add anything to the dish. It was bland, yellow rice should show up to support the seafood. I will say in comparison to the Jerk wings which were aggressively seasoned to perfection, and then to get a bland Paella you would think you were at a different restaurant. The space in the restaurant with several large groups was still open and comfortable and every group still had their space to celebrate without over lapping each other. As my husband said, it's maybe a once a 1-2 year place to visit. Don't get me wrong. The tropical vibes and spacious restaurant with vast seafood options are fun and upbeat, but the food is mediocre at best and quite salty if you ask me. I tried the jerk chicken pineapple bowl, literally served in half a pineapple. Instaworthy, sure, but the sauce was too overpowering, and I wished I had triple the amount of white rice to mellow it out. The covered outdoor patio is the best place to be seated! It does set the tone of being in the 'Bahamas.' Open windows, music playing, it's like your on vacation while enjoying fruity tropical drinks. Fiancé took me here for date night and we ordered 2 of their new drinks. I had the guava martini, it was okay. I would not order it again, too sweet for me but others might enjoy it. He ordered the Bruno's smash hit and that was very good. Going to Bahama Breeze is always a decent experience for me and I was left satisfied overall. I ordered the Jamaican Stuffed Plantain Bowl which had yellow rice, ground beef, black bean sauce, cheese, all in a whole caramelized sweet plantain. It was delicious. There's not a lot of cuisines that center on plantains, the little brother of bananas, so definitely check out this dish here. Service was good and the overall experience was good. BATHROOM REVIEW: Located past the kitchen, the mens bathroom is spacious. There are several stalls and a small designated area for the urinals. Service was instantaneous, and must admit our waiter on the patio was fast, pleasant, and - for the most part- really attentive- always a plus, which we know will please YOU too. Ok- as we weren't too hungry, we ordered a couple well drinks and a couple appetizers- we got the crab and 3 cheese dip (yummy) and the skillet simmered jerk shrimp - now to be fair, the shrimp tasted great - but the jerk flavoring was a little "flat" (not a bad thing, but not as strong as we'd have expected). For the main, we got two vegetarian black bean/guac handheld "tacos" - which (despite the blowback which would come shortly thereafter at home) was absolutely yummy - wow. This was the only "non-happy-hour" item we ordered. Needless to say - we were impressed! I used to frequent Bahama Breeze a lot back in Florida when I was a student at UCF, and I can clearly tell that the quality isn't what it used to be. The second we walked in, there was a very foul smell on the inside. I'm not sure what happened, but we opted to sit outside to avoid it. The decor is still practically the same (tropical vibes, colors and what not). Service was great, no complaints. It was a bit busy but our waiter was on it! I wish I could remember his name, as he definitely deserves a raise. He was taking orders, giving recommendations, cleaning tables, all while handling a 10-15 person table right next to us. Hats off to this man! The menu has slightly changed since I last dined-in a few years ago. They've added a couple of new menu items and kept the few favorites. Prices have gone up drastically, but that's the new norm I guess. Here's what we had - Appetizer: Yuca Cheese Sticks - this is a new item. I had high expectations, and was hoping for a cheese pull, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. They tasted like normal mozzarella sticks, but the sauces that came with it (cilantro lime and sriracha aioli) were good. (3/5) Mains: Blackened Mahi Tacos and Coconut Shrimp Tacos. The tacos were alright. The plates were very messy, but satisfying. The meats could use a bit more seasoning as both tacos were rather bland. The fries were crispy and delicious. (3/5) Desserts: Pineapple Cheesecake Empanadas. The empanadas were crunchy and sweet. The filling was alright, but slightly thick. My family recently hosted our mom's milestone birthday celebration here for about 50 guests, and we had a wonderful experience. I worked with Elizabeth to reserve a private section of the restaurant for our party, and she was extremely patient with all of my questions during the process. The night of the event, we were warmly welcomed and given an opportunity to set up decorations ahead of our guests' arrival. The staff were all very gracious and thoughtful all evening. Our primary servers, Cassidy and Natalie, were amazing, and the other staff who assisted them were terrific as well. As an example, when a couple of guests arrived late, after everyone was already seated, the crew quickly reconfigured one of the tables to accommodate them with minimal disruption to the other diners. The food we had was excellent - everything tasted good and fresh, and was served in generous proportions (leftovers galore). Our guests particularly raved about the house salad and the beef empanadas, and remarked that there was almost too much seafood in the paella. :) When it came time to serve the birthday cake for my mom, the staff once again went above and beyond, slicing and serving the cake with efficiency. My mom very much enjoyed her evening out with family and friends, and there was truly very little to complain about. We will definitely be back to Bahama Breeze for "normal" lunches/dinners, and will certainly consider this location again for a future private dining event. read more

We started the day out with appetizers and drinks. The ultimate pineapple drink is really delicious. They actually put it inside a cut open pineapple. I believe it was around $13 My favorite appetizer was the beef empanadas, they were absolutely incredible. You get four of them for about $11.49, so a little pricey but they were so good. The pineapple chutney sauce and sour cream on the side made it even better. The yuca sticks ($6.49 were ok. Spinach and artichoke dip ($11.49) was good, and we did like the firecracker shrimp ($12.49). I think the beef empanadas were everyone's favorite overall. I had the jerk chicken pasta without asparagus and mushrooms. The pasta was really good. The large portion is $18. I would definitely get it again it was very flavorful and a good portion. My fiancé and another person had the jerk chicken and rice pineapple bowl for $16.49. That was really delicious and was also in a cut open pineapple. It had a lot of flavor and was really good. I met a friend for dinner here on April 22, and we dined on the enclosed patio, which has tables spaced well apart and a relaxing vibe, complete with live entertainment. The environment was perfect, and the music added a vacation-like vibe to the room without being too loud. We were able to have a conversation while the musician sang and played. Perfect! We've been coming here for years and my friend and I always ordered the almond-crusted fish special and green beans, which was perfection. Sadly, it's no longer on the menu, so we were forced to try something else. I opted for the jerk chicken pineapple bowl -- spicy jerk chicken, rice, pineapple pieces and peppers, served in a hallowed out half pineapple. Great choice! It was full of flavor, and I loved the spicy chicken and pineapple flavor combo. I'd definitely recommend it! I also got the traditional Bahamarita, which is a three-flavor margarita that tastes as good as it looks. While the menu is smaller than it was pre-pandemic, it still offers a nice range of entrees as well as a different environment than typical suburban restaurants, especially if you eat on the patio. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. We were so stuffed by the end of our dinner! One star off for weak drinks. We tried a couple of different cocktails and it seemed like all of them had the minimal amount of alcohol. The presentation for the food and drinks was pretty impressive though, I honestly didn't expect it to be so nice. We made a reservation through Open Table and they marked us as a no-show. This negatively impacts my Open Table account. We attended the reservation but were late due to traffic. We called to let them know this, and were honest about our timing. Upon our arrival we were seated but the area was directly under a fan/air duct. My child was so cold she had goosebumps. We asked for a table outside, and were notified that we would have to wait an hour. The hostesses Christy was extremely rude, and basically shamed us for being late in front of other guests. She told us that those guests were actually there and on time to get the outside tables. I am 9 months pregnant,was hungry, and couldn't wait for an hour after being stressed in traffic for so long already. The hostess was so rude and dismissive that I left in tears. Ordered salmon and not only was it not cooked properly but when the server brought it over you could smell how bad and fishy it was. It was bad salmon, the rest of my dish was cold like it had been sitting. Let our server know and manager came over and then I tried a chicken salad. Didn't think you could screw that up too but nope this was even worse! The chicken also was undercooked and was like rubber - I almost gagged it was so gross.
