The signage includes the business name, icons for food, drinks, karaoke, and fun, along with an open neon sign and a small neon logo. The sidewalk in front is covered with snow, and a parking sign is visible on the left. The reflection in the windows shows two people standing outside, and the background includes trees and parked cars.

We were in town for a cheer competition and my husband and I always are down for a good dive bar. I wouldn't really say this is a dive bar, but from the looks of it on the outside, we weren't sure if we wanted to go in or not, it Just didn't have your typical Bar look but boy I am glad we did. Linda the bartender's service was absolutely amazing and Emilio. The chef actually came out and talked to us to make sure he knew exactly how we wanted our burgers. We had a really nice conversation with Linda and everybody was very friendly there. I highly suggest to stop in there. The food was amazing and you can't beat good service. They had it all going on.

Front of building - The photo captures the front exterior of The Hideout, a local bar and grill, with a prominent illuminated sign displaying the business name and icons representing food and drinks. Neon signs are visible through the large front window, and parked cars are in the parking lot outside. The scene is set during evening hours, with a dark sky overhead.

Horrible. Bartender Zach is a weird character. Smells like mildew and drinks seems to be warm or just flat Tasting. Kitchen is dirty as well . Would Never eat there

Bar food - A round white plate contains fried quesadillas, fried empanadas, and fried plantains, arranged around a small cup of sour cream. The plate is on a dark table, with a drink and a napkin visible nearby. The background is blurred, indicating an indoor or outdoor dining setting.

The bartender was nice and there was a good crowd there on karaoke night. He recommended cocktails and had fun with it!

Foods lousy, bartending is bad. Service is bad. Owner needs to learn how to run the place.

I called to order a pizza for pick up and it was estimated for 20 minutes. The timing was spot on as I picked it up fresh from the oven. A 16" cheese was $22 in total which was a bit steep. The inside was cute and you could tell this place has been around for a while because locals love it. The pizza travelled well and was still hot. The crust was a bit thicker than I'm used to, sauce was mild (subtly sweet over savory), and cheese was straight forward. It was a good base but would be better with some toppings to add flavor. Overall, I agree that it's some of the better pizza options in the area! Tip: They only do pasta and sandwich specials throughout the week.

Not very noticable from the street and it had a dark parking lot (could have been due to the time change maybe light timing was off). Anyways walked in and was a nice small establishment with a few tables to eat in. We ordered a small half sausage/half pepperoni pizza and also an order of cheese fries for an appetizer. Also got a liter of RC to drink. Well although they did have an eat in area, they really were not set up for dine in. No ice for the drink, and we had to use those small styrofoam shot glasses to drink our soda out of. Cheese fries were a good size and were tasty, but the cheese wasn't heated all the way thorough and there were cold parts of the cheese, it was basically luke warm. Pizza had a pretty good taste, but the thin crust was a little thick for my liking. Honestly despite some of the troubles I still would come back and give it another try. I think I would come in the day for the next time though and go the slice route instead, as it looks as they serve that all day.

From the moment we were seated, everything felt easy and welcoming. Our waitress came over right away, was super friendly, and got our drink and appetizer order going without any delay. We decided to share a couple of appetizers for the table, and honestly, they were a hit. The crispy fried mozzarella ($11) was hands down one of my favorites: perfectly golden on the outside with the ideal cheese pull. Nonna's meatballs ($15) were so juicy and came with the buttery garlic bread crisps! For our entrees, we all ordered something different, which made it even more fun to hear everyone's thoughts and opinions. I ordered the cavatelli trattoria ($22) and I'm not exaggerating when I say I still think about it. The sauce was flavorful and the pasta was cooked perfectly. I literally now am catching myself looking at the photo I took and craving it all over again. My husband ordered the sausage and pepperoni woodfired pizza ($18), but after trying his dad's charred pepperoni pizza ($19, he immediately had food envy. The charred pepperoni, pesto, and drizzle of hot honey just took it to another level, so he started stealing some of those pieces. We enjoyed the food so much that we came back the very next week for my husband's birthday, which alone says a lot. He didn't even hesitate and ordered the charred pepperoni pizza, and I went right back to the cavatelli because why pick something new when I already found perfection? While the rest of the family tried new dishes, we were both completely content sticking with what we already knew we loved. Overall, we will absolutely be back again, and I recommend trying it!

The goat cheese appetizer was really good. The prosciutto pizza was good. Lot of prosciutto on it. They did not skim. The Margherita pizza, I thought it was ok. It lacked flavor and not enough ingredients to appreciate the flavors of this type of pizza. There badil was cooked and only a small amount of it on the pizza. The basil lacked that flavor. Both pizza were cooked perfectly, the crust was very tasty and crisp. It was not soggy and it was a nice sized thin crust. The waiter was ok.

We ordered the large Malnati's Chicago Classic along with the Malnati salad, and both were outstanding. The deep-dish pizza had that perfect buttery crust, layers of melted cheese, a flavorful sausage patty, and fresh tomatoes on top, exactly what Chicago pizza should be. We all had one piece and it was so filling, we had leftovers to take with us. The Malnati salad was incredible as well. The sweet vinaigrette and Romano cheese dressing was amazing and paired perfectly with the fresh, crisp ingredients. Lou Malnati's never disappoints, and it continues to be a tradition every time we're in town. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Chicago or craving true deep-dish pizza.
