OH MY GOSH THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!! On my recent trip to visit my mother in law in Schaumburg, my sister in-laws and I were looking for somewhere fun to go that wasn't a bar restaurant. We decided to check this place out based only on the great Yelp reviews. Let me be honest and say this place isn't anything to look at from the outside but the inside is full of fun! First of all there are all walks of life in this place. Old, young, regulars, new comers, bachelorette parties and the list goes on. The karaoke here is so much fun and everyone was so friendly. Upon arriving at The Hideout, we were unsure what to expect. We came to sing karaoke and celebrate a birthday. The venue is cozy and there are slot machines for the avid gambler. Once we got situated at a high-top table, we quickly made friends with Zach S. and his compadre Emilio. It happened to be on the 6th anniversary of The Hideout which meant the mood was already festive. Once Zach started pouring the drinks and the crowd started to thicken, the real fun began! First very clean bartenders always sanitize everything in between customers and at end of night. Second they have karaoke 4 nights per week. Whilst I love this, I could see it's not for everyone(the only reason I gave a 4 star). Third the bartender on Saturday nights, Zach, is the best bartender in the Chicago suburbs. Definitely worth meeting. Make the best drink (The Mcf***). Who know how many different kinds of rum, but pineapple and orange juice will keep you coming back for more. In these "pandemic times" the hideout is the best place to be. Great bar, amazing atmosphere, and astounding staff. Highly recommend! read more

OK...so imma put a stop to the racism garbage being said about this bar. I have ben going here over 7 years...I am Black and the 1st time I went was after work on my birthday, and we came in with a literal United Nations (Black, White, Italian, Indian etc). Never has there been ANY hostility directed my way and as a matter of fact, if you come here and know nobody, I can assure you, when you leave you may know everybody in the bar. JoJo, Marco and Andreas tend bar and are the KJ's. Service is great. Sound system isn't the best, but this ain't American Idol!! Love this place. Jen (owner) is the nicest person you can meet and only wants you to enjoy yourself. So, if you're looking for a dive bar (and this fits that to the tee) you can't go wrong. Prices SUPER reasonable on food and drinks. The regulars will greet you with open arms and if by chance you can REALLY sing...they will let you know. I was there last night with my friend. We were leaving to get a cigar. However, we were going to come back. Some asshole, that was standing next to a security guard, responded that his dick could be used as a cigar. The security guard was right there and didn't do or say anything. After the #Me movement and all the disrespect women have to deal with, this is unacceptable! So the security guard has plenty of time to never stop eating and talk down to customers. However, he doesn't have time to stick up for customers when they're being disrespected right in front of his face. This place is a disgusting dive and it's obvious that the men there do not respect women. Ladies don't go here unless you don't mind being talked down to and feeling unsafe. read more

What an awesome night! My friends and I arrived about 7 PM for a few drinks and to wait for karaoke to start. Linda the bartender was so nice! We had some nachos that were greasy and cheesy and delicious. Then Jen the owner took care of us after 8 PM. By 9 PM the place was PACKED and we karaoked until last call. Ordered on uber eats, said it would take 25-35 minutes, understandable since I ordered a decent amount of food, an hour later my food is here, appetizer sampler missing, that's $8 gone. All of my food was cold, which could have been uber eats' fault, but even if it was hot, my mini burgers were way over cooked, almost not edible they were so burnt. The chicken tenders were nasty, worse than Burger King chicken and that's not even real. The marinara sauce tasted like prego. The ranch was hidden valley. Everything was gross, and it took forever. I could make better food in my own kitchen, and I suggest you save your money and do the same. read more

In fact, even the bartender that started his shift had to clean one of the shot glasses because he noticed how dirty it was. Don't get me wrong the staff and patrons were extremely nice, but the entire place is in desperate need of a makeover. Because of the bogus reviews I invited a ton of coworkers out for drinks after a crazy work week. We entered the place and immediately fell into a bad version of "Cheers". If the smell doesn't run you out of the place, the shots served in dirty glasses will. My roommate and I took a chance on The Hideout when we were looking for something to do- and now it's our go to bar when we want a night out! We love the staff. Kevin is the best bartender and always makes us feel welcome. Todd(?) is as well, they both keep the drinks flowing! The karaoke DJ's are really great as well and make sure that anyone who wants to sing gets a chance (rather than a round robin of the same few people). They also have some great munchies for when it's later in the evening. Needless to say, the Hideout hits it out of the park for us which is why we keep coming back! read more

If you look at my review, it was first and I only stated what I saw. My wife has nothing to do with my review. You don't like it so you blocked me on facebook. Then you slandered her company that you have never seen or been to. Most of her functions are private so you will never see them. You also wrote about someone else who gave you a bad review that I don't know. My wife said she has met that lady. Bottom line your bar was not at its best. Kevin's an awesome bartender with a chill personality. KJ Andres is super cool and friendly as well. He's very good at what he does and is definitely one of the huge reasons I keep coming back to this establishment. This is definitely the best karaoke in the suburbs. The drinks are great, the songs are great, and you can also eat too, the menu has a good selection you can definitely chill in the corner or get on the microphone and rock out like a rock star. I could keep rambling about how welcoming this place is. But I'll leave it at the staff, the selection, and the people will keep me coming back.
