Great bagel spot on the Upper East Side. Their bagels are nice and toasted on the outside and chewy on the inside. The Everything bagel is my go to and it is fantastic! Bagels and More Upper East Side is at Third Avenue and East 89th Street. I had been going in here frequently when I lived on 87th Street. Now I'm finally over the nasty man that works behind the counter. One year I went in one morning to see if they will have their regular hours on that holiday. I enjoy their coffee. The sign in the Window says they are open that holiday but they didn't have the hours listed. Some places are open on a Holiday but open later by an hour and close early. He got so nasty with an ugly look on his face. He shouted "Yes, yes, yes" over and over with a nasty tone to his voice. He did it in front of the customers. I'm done with this place. They need employees (or owner if that's what he is) with a new attitude. The coffee and bagels are good too. I just don't think they have patience for a customer like me. Plus I wonder sometimes if they understand English. They don't speak when spoken to. Plus their muffins are the same ones you can get from a street vendor for half the price! Adore this place. I have set order of - Egg bagel, lightly toasted, Lettuce, tomato, smoked salmon, and a pinch of scallion cream cheese. Like OD game changer. Staff is very rude!!! I have supported them for years going to this business. I'm not sure if there's been a change in management or just the staff starting to not care about customers but when we I come in lately to pick up Too Good To Go orders they shut me out if I am early or having issues with the app bc their wifi never works- even if I have proof of purchase. The app also allows users to pick up orders early and I have had no issues doing this in the past with other businesses and this business but now they are just rude to me and demand I leave. From Boston and my expectations were low for this place being just a corner joint with no fancy sign or anything. very quick and efficient guys working in here, not the most talkative, but they deliver the goods. a rude black woman came in bitching over a hot coffee accusing the man behind the counter of not hearing her when she ordered and she stormed off. Hostile vibe, but I got a laugh out of the unrealistic expectations of New Yorkers. Free Delivery and tasty bagels. Ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an egg bagel with raw onion. They got all my 3 condiments correct including the extra one I wanted on the side. I'm a saucy girl what can I say. They also had the egg bagel and it tasted super fresh! Now when I got to my chocolate chip muffin is where my devastation starts. It was very hard and dry. Hoping this was just a mis hap. I sadly couldn't even finish it, which has never happened with me and a chocolate chip muffin. The delivery was within 20 mins or less, so fast! Food: I had no idea bagels could be made like this and I am so sad that I haven't eaten it sooner. I am a huge bagel lover and this creation was literally a dream. Cheesy and creamy bacon scallion cream cheese combined with the steamy eggs and crispy bacon was a savior in the 30 degree windy weather. The mango smoothie was also good but I had to throw it away because I couldn't hold it any longer since my hands were in pain. Overall if you're in the area I also think this place is a can't miss. This is a review for DELIVERY. My friend told me that typical breakfast in NYC is a bagel, but a bagel with the works. So she ordered two bagel sandwiches for us. I had a wheat bagel with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese and bacon. The delivery time was approximately 30 minutes. It was a good size bagel. The temperature was a bit lukewarm, being that it was delivered in the cold. The bagel was so good though!!! My first bite had me sold! The bacon was so perfect! I asked for a quarter lb of cream cheese (which is how they advertise that it's sold online) to which I definitely did not get. my partner got charged a WHOPPING $4 per bagel (with butter) for flat sad bagels. Their menu says 1.50 a bagel, so you're telling me butter is $2.50 per bagel? We returned a few minutes after buying to ask them where this price came from, and they gave me no clear answer. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese with avocado on a roll and my husband got a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel and both were great. They would have been even better if we ate at the restaurant and they were hot. They put a good amount of avocado and bacon on the sandwich. The iced tea is also really good. read more

Bagels are bomb and there's never a line-- hidden gem and a thousand times better than some other more popular spots.

Their quality has gone WAY down in the last few months. Sandwiches are on day old rolls & no longer toasted the bread). Also cheese is not melted anymore either. Strange. They don't have a minimum on seamless which is nice. Really good sandwich, large portion, very generous with amount of chicken salad they added! Ordered a bagel with smoked salmon for delivery from here. It took over an hour to arrive despite being only a few blocks from me, was not toasted (as I had asked for), had none of the toppings promised (onions, capers, etc), and, most importantly, the fish was DISGUSTING. There are no words for the taste besides BAD. I took two bites, threw it out, and felt sick for the rest of the day. Absolutely would NOT recommend. Before the food arrived, I called the place to ask about the status of my order (45 minutes after ordering), and they said they would check on it and call me back. Never did. So not great customer service either. When I look on grubhub, the ONLY positive reviews are from a user called D Douglas, who has literally written hundreds of reviews, always with 5 stars, and all saying the same thing. This gives me the sense that this is not a legitimate customer. All other reviews are negative. The lesson: Don't trust the number of stars a place has, check the reviews as well. read more

Stopped by here on our walk about in NYC and boy was it good, we had bagels and coffee, the best we have ever had. Bagels were large and tasty with loads of choice for fillings. Coffee was the best. Choice of food on offer was good and varied. The staff working there were very friendly and took time to advise us Brits not used to all the choices. Tip: on the weekends have more delivery people instead of loading up one person to make all these deliveries and making customers wait. I am absolutely fuming at the moment with the lack of customer service at this store. We thought we found a new go to place as their food is very good! and I have no complaints about that. It's their delivery is where the problem happened. This morning at 9:15 I placed an order. At 10:20 I called wondering where it was and called again at 10:45. Finally at 11am I called and they said it was delivered, I said not to me. They must have delivered to the wrong address. They pretty much told me that I was lying and they delivered it and that was it. I said to bring the deliver guy to my place to prove he delivered to me. When you let them know "this isn't what I ordered" you get a group of men laughing back at you. They're condescending and really should have a skilled supervisor watching their every move. Ooo...I'm happy I was the exception to what looks like many horrible experiences with Bagels and More. I ordered a chicken salad for lunch today from here which consisted of cranberries, avocado, feta cheese, cucumbers, baby spinach, and tomatoes....It was one of the BEST salads I ever tasted! My order came quicker than was quoted (20 minutes instead of 45 minutes). I was quite pleased that I was given the autonomy to put as much dressing as I wanted to with my choice of dressing which came on the side in a small plastic container. No complaints here and will definitely be ordering again soon! read more

The food was delicious! However, I have to give it three stars because of one reason. It's unfortunate because the bacon egg and cheese I had was great. But--I ordered a large DECAF iced coffee. And about 20 mins after I finished the drink, it was very apparent that I had been given regular. While this may not seem like a big deal to most, caffeinated coffee has never ever sat well with me. I had the worst heart palpitations, jitters, dizziness and nausea. And still do--4 hours later. Excellent food, but they need to pay more attention to detail. read more

Ordered chunky whitefish salad from these guys, and what I got was akin to cat food. It was not chunky, and it was oily. It looked like it had been frozen and thawed. Grubhub got me my money back, but said that the person on the phone could not understand the problem. I called them myself immediately, and got hung up on three times.
