Not only does Your Host loves waffles...he's also somewhat of a connoisseur of bagels. This place was recommended for great bagels, and it didn't disappoint. These are great tasting bagels, not unlike what you'd get in NYC. Check out their hours, because getting there when they first open is like striking when the iron's hot. Expect a line when you arrive, but rest assured Darlings, they're pretty efficient and the wait isn't horrible. Note also that they do sandwiches here, so score another point in the positive column. There is some space if you want to chow down here, but note that it's a bit cramped and a bit of a why bother...taking out is your best option. Always a good sign, K&A Bagel Cafe has a lot of selections for different sandwiches and a nice selection of bagels. I went pretty basic and ordered the egg, cheese and bacon on an everything bagel. The bagel was outstanding. One of the better ones I have had. The complete breakfast sandwich also was very good. The bacon was crispy and the eggs fluffy. The staff was friendly and the prices were reasonable. Very cool interior also with seating. I would definitely come back.

I got the pork roll, egg, and cheese on pancakes and my husband got the scrapple, egg , and cheese on French toast. We each gave each other one half so we could try both. We also did the home fries and my husband got a piece of their crumb cake. I feel like I just gained 50 pounds but everything was terrific. Both sandwiches came with sides of syrup for dipping, the home fries are big chunks of potato with some crispy bites, which I love. We are planning on eating healthier after this weekend but this is definitely a future cheat meal establishment.

I am looking at my uneaten half and counting seeds ... 1, 2,3 ... NINETEEN totals poppy seeds on half the bagel. Third, the bagel's surface was let's say "flexible" to the touch. Yea ... no bagel crunch to the bite almost soft but still bagelish chewy. But, I did order a poppyseed bagel, right? Fourth, that "veggie cream cheese" had a rather unique taste with absolutely no crisp veggies in the mix just a collection of veggies colorful specks that hinted at the original source. Do they use dehydrated veggies dust to create their Veggie Cream Cheese? Truly a mystery and about a quarter of my bagel ended up in the trash. Don't sit near the door on a cold day because you will sense the outdoors. I will take the blame for this one since I chose my table but I needed the space. The coffee was good ... service friendly and prompt ... and they were busy, which means people not resembling me like their "bagels." So two stars for what I was missing. I do know there are other locations nearby so in the future if I want a "real" bagel or a poppyseed bagel with poppyseeds and veggie cream cheese that tastes ... well I know where I won't go.
