DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT use this service. A total rip off , the broke several items, lied and ridiculously over charged us. First off they arrived almost an hour late. They sent 3 old men who procrastinated and took all day and all they had to move were 3 beds and 4 couches. The movers left and went to lunch. And disposed of my items they had broken. I am missing several items. Originally quoted us $350 and then after their shenanigans all day charged $1100 then we called to talk to the owner and this POS lied and said it took 2 days, so it supposedly took 2 days to move 3 beds and 4 couches. We currently live about 2 hours away from the house. We contracted Bagby for our house and detached garage to be packed and moved. The company was warned about some challenges accessing the house. The salesman said it wouldn't be a problem. After driving for two hours, my wife met the movers on a Friday morning. They were late. When they arrived at the house, the crew decided that they could not get the truck up the driveway and left. She had to drive back to our current place. We had to cancel the next weekend because the movers decided that they couldn't negotiate the driveway. On the third weekend, the movers showed up late both to pack and to load and move. The movers themselves were nice but didn't seem to listen. Some stuff that they were told to move didn't get moved and other stuff that they were told to leave behind was moved even though it was set aside. They showed up without a full crew and refused to pack and load our detached garage. Needless to say, we did not ask them to return to pack and move the rest of our stuff. As far as handling our goods, the crew packed almost everything in wardrobe boxes, their most expensive. The furniture was not dropped and did not seem to be scuffed. A table leg separated from the top due to the load shifting. They didn't drop any boxes but we had to put most everything in storage and it will be a while before we can open the boxes to see if any of the contents are damaged. Same with the furniture; we'll need a closer look to see any damage. I would not recommend Bagby Transfer and Storage. read more

VERY disappointed. Estimate for packing alone was ~$900. Actual charged was ~$4200 for packing alone. They came out to the house for the estimate , went through every room & closet and I told them everything that was to be packed. Bait and switch?? The movers complained about the company the whole time they were at my house. After I called and spoke to both Steve Brewster and the estimater about the difference from the estimate and asked them to review it, neither one called me back. read more

I've used Bagby two times now. Both times the company and its owner, Steve, came through for me with last minute requests to move. They were so delicate with the fragile China and crystal that I had to move and were diligent, through and through. I see some mixed reviews here on Yelp but all I can say is that both times I contracted this moving company, I was so grateful and didn't have any issues. Bagby came out to move me on 7-6-21. They moved furniture outside to their truck before putting furniture blankets on it. All they did was throw the blankets over the furniture once it was in the truck. They were completely unprofessional. I mentioned wrapping items before moving to truck and the mover raised is voice and said they do not do it that way. They damaged my furniture and scratched my floor. I called the manager Steve Brewster and he was not concerned and told me that is why they have a claims department. He stated he has been in business for 30 plus years and they do not have any problems with their movers. The impression he gave me was he did not care about my concerns. I was asked to fill out survey form & the head mover stood there and watched me fill it out. At this point I felt intimidated to fill in anything other than good service. Which was not the case. Do not use these people, I have yet to hear from the claims department for the damage to my furniture and floor. This company is not professional at all. absolutely terrible company. Damages to all of our furniture and new construction home adding up to over $10,000. We were stolen from, lied to, and taken advantage of. The owner of this company knows our story of his movers trying to scam us as well as all the damages they did to our things, he does not care about any of it as he has not tried to help in anyway and just said he fired the mover. Firing the mover doesnt make up for the overcharge fee, the damages, the stolen items from our 2 year old sons toys and our belongings. He saw the GPS on the truck go back to our old home after our move and the movers were not suppose to go there. They helped themselves to take home my sons outdoor toys, they knew we were going to get the following day. The movers went missing for over an hour during the middle of our move and we were only moving 3 minutes away. Men came back smelling of pot and said they needed a smoke break, I had to pay for that expensive smoke break. If he was fired or not I would never use this company again or reccomend them to my worst enemy. The claims department won't respond unless I email multiple times. I am being ignored now, and I have complied and tried to open up my home for them to see the damages for themselves On multiple occasions during business hours, they declined due to us not taking off work for them to come before 1PM. They are beyond disrespectful and untrustworthy. Save your money and go anywhere but here. read more
