Had the Goth ice cream which a black coconut ice cream With Jäegermeister syrup black sprinkles and wafer .Coconut creamy meets chocolate bitters and orange citrus . The syrup they use is sweet and thick and adds another dimensions of texture to this already complex up desert . Absolutely fabulous . I will definitely be back to try their buckfast shake . --- Came back the next day because I wanted to get their extremely limited goth dessert again which they were sold out of . Sad . But at least I had the chance to take advantage of their £4 Tuesday burger meal deal . I added caramelized onions for an extra pound but would recommend springing for the cheddar cheese or bacon for an extra £2 which is still a good deal ! As the the taste ? It's £4 burger with fries . No complaints ! As for the buckfast shake ...what an interesting concoction . It's strong ...I can only imagine what having straight buckfast would be like ..I'm glad my first time was in shake form as I'm sure the cream and milk toned down the alcohol and sharpness a lot . The overall flavor really grows on you . It reminds me of like a Neapolitan shake ( heavy on the chocolate and strawberry and no vanilla ice cream ) with a crap ton of added fermented strawberries and maraschino cherries and maraschino cherry syrup . If I was the chef I'd tweak this by adding a rum flambé banana slice or just banana in general would be so nice . I like this place a lot and would low key love to be a business partner or be able up a similar place in the States . Definitely a gem in Glasgow.

Nice, dark alternative style pub in Glasgow, near the University area. Very LGBTQIA friendly…read more I visited with a friend who was showing me the area, and was delighted to try their fried chicken and french fries. Their chicken had a light but crunchy batter that was extremely flavorful, the fries, Oh my! There were so many of them and they were hot and fresh, and there was a side of slaw that was tasty too. But the absolute best thing was the sticky toffee biscotti pudding. It's fried and it's decadent, served with vanilla ice cream, it's so good. Visit! You'll love it

Unfortunately I was very disappointed by my experience here. I had been here a few years ago and…read morealso had a bad experience. I was expecting it to be much better especially with many positive reviews. I thought it would also have improved over time and would have a better menu. I only came here as a friend was celebrating his birthday and chose here as he and his wife had been before and there was also a quiz on. Alas for me it was to be another disappointing visit and a menu with hardly anything I could choose from. It wasn't really Italian as I thought apart from the pizzas I suppose, which I don't like. I ended up choosing a side of triple cooked chips. I went to the bar and ordered the chips (£3) and also a pint of coke and I was charged £7.40. £7 bleeding 40????!!!!!!! Good grief! £4.40 for a coke? I had to speak to the girl again and ask how much for a pint of coke and she realised she had overcharged me. After she struggled with the till I eventually got my money back. She apologised and said my chips would be with me soon. So I waited and waited and waited, after about 30 minutes and other customers around me who arrived after me had be served, I went back to the bar and found the girl who served me and she was very embarrassed and apologetic. So after 45 minutes I eventually got my bowl of chips. The girl fortunately came over and gave me my money back. The last time they didn't charge us because the food was awful. So I started tucking in, as I was starving, and accompanied with my chips was mayonnaise. I thought everything was ok but before I finished I developed a very sore stomach thereafter I became extremely ill. I became very familiar with the toilet after several visits. The toliet was awful which didn't help. On one occassion the only cubicle that was available didn't have a light and no light could get in as there was no usual gap at either top or bottom of the door. Argh! After my two bad experiences I don't think I'll be in a hurry to come back. Sadly I had to cut the night short, miss out on the rest of the quiz and just get home to my bed. I ended up being ill for two days. It might be others cup of tea but unfortunately it's not for me.

I had the special pizza that had the haggis , onion and goats cheese. For me the pizza tasted like crunchy flatbread a pizza should be soft doughy full of flavour sadly that day may have been an off day but wasn't for me. There was a condiment set on the table and noticed that even though the jar was full nothing would come out as the wrong pepper was placed in the shaker, the holes was too small. Good for drinks yes! Food mmmmm! if you take grandma make sure she has used poligrip as that pizza is hard as nails.

Lamora Pizzeria - Wonderful garlic & rosemary foccacia and a delicious minestrone soup.

This is like Groundhog Day. It seems like every day I'm writing a review about a new pizza place,…read moresuch is the scale of new pizzerias opening in Glasgow. This little takeaway literally popped up near my flat out of nowhere. Now I have to walk past a delicious pizza place every darn day and somehow try and stop myself from entering! This is going to be a real test of grit seeing as Lamora's pizzas are mighty fine. One of the key things about a good pizza (I reckon) is the dough and their dough is wonderfully soft and light, but with a slight crisp, just how I like it. They have a wide range of good quality toppings and even do my favourite pizza which consists of Tuna and onion. It may sound wrong but it's a total Italian classic, showing that these guys know their stuff. If pizza's not your thing (amazingly there are plenty of people who are averse to it, shock horror!), Lamora have daily soup specials, pastas and focaccias. I've tried their minestrone and it was really hearty, flavorsome and rammed full of delicious vegetables. This along with a garlic and rosemary focaccia for £5.50 this is a meal not to be sniffed at. Simply great value for money. Lamora is a wee breath of fresh air in this part of Charing Cross. Being the only real takeaway in the area it serves up fine pizzas from lunchtime until late and has a very cool and fresh vibe that means it would not look out of place in a hipster area like Finnieston. Although predominantly a takeaway, there are a good 4 or 5 tables which means you can sit in if you like. Most pizzas are priced around the £8 mark which again is excellent value considering the size and quality. This is definitely my favourite pizza takeaway in Glasgow and I'm pretty chuffed to have it soo nearby!

The best pizza place in the West End? It's a difficult choice to make but there's a good chance…read morethat it's Little Italy. I'm sure most people would at least put it in their top 3. It's not an enormous restaurant. A large bar/service area takes up a lot of space, as does the pizza oven at the back and as suck the seats are kind of arranged all the way around the edges. Somehow though, whenever I've wanted to sit in, they have managed to find a space for me. They do pizza and pasta mostly, with a few other Italian favourites. The coffee is really good and the cake is the ideal thing to bring as a surprise in a take away box to a friend who needs cheering up. Trust me, it never fails. The pizza comes as slices (really squares) or three other standard sizes, starting at 10 inch and is cheese and tomato by default. There isn't really a menu of standard toppings like, for example, mushroom and proscuitto, red pepper and goats cheese, Hawaiian, Four Seasons, etc. Rather, they just have all imaginable toppings and you tell them which ones you'd like. This way you pay for the toppings you want based on the size of pizza you order, and every pizza is, in that sense, personalised. Once you've placed your order you're given a buzzer (regardless of whether you're sitting in or taking out) and when it goes off you head over to that pizza oven and the chef will hand it to you with or without freshly ground black pepper, according to your preference. The pizza is always good too. Always. The base is great and the toppings are reliably fresh and delicious. Sadly, the days are gone when a snapfax and £4 could get you a pizza and a can of soda but their still very fairly priced for the quality you can expect.

Feel Italian for the Day…read more Italian staff, Italian coffee, Italian pizza, Italian radio, Costco pastries? :-) But let's get serious here. This vibrant little shop is the Italian espresso bar personified. The coffee is perfect for your morning cappuccino, the focaccia's perfect for a quick lunch and the pizza's perfect for your tea (or since we're in The West End should I say dinner?) Tiramisu? That's another story. It's not always on offer, but when it is - I'M THERE! Word of note though - just stay away from the sugar bowls. I've seen licked spoons go where they ought not to. Luckily I don't take the white stuff :-)
