I have really waited to use this as a last resort I have had one problem after another with my Baessler home anything from major problems down to the small problems, my floors are caving in we've had structural engineers involved still not resolved. My driveway is horrible cracked they will do nothing about it and now trying to change out light fixtures they did not even put the correct junction boxes Ibehind the light fixtures then were attached to the walls with drywall screws, unbelievable the things that we are going through with this home these are just a couple of the things that have been an issue so many more too many to even list another thing that is a big issue is I was provided with cabinets I never ordered and they won't do anything about that either

We have owned three new homes and we have been in the business of renovating homes and reselling…read morethem. Journey Homes has been the best developer of the new home we recently purchased. The last new home we owned where Taylor Morrison was the developer was the absolute worst. So, we know the difference. We view our Journey Home as well constructed and we believe we got a great deal on the price given the real estate market. We have submitted warranty items that have been addressed in a timely fashion. We have been able to meet the contractors and each one of them has been friendly, knowledgeable, and fixed the problems to our satisfaction. Norm from the warranty claims division has been wonderful to us and we appreciate him. The online portal to check the status of warranty work is great. Colorado has expansive soils. Developers do their best to mitigate the issues with expansive soils. However, the fact is concrete will crack and move. This is a given in Colorado. It's why joints are put into the concrete pads to account for movement. Hopefully, the cracks will be minor. However, the developer cannot predict how the soil will move and how the concrete will crack. This is why they put a limitation on their responsibility for what is really beyond their control. I know it can be frustrating for first-time homebuyers who expect the home to remain pristine over time as when first purchased. However, this is an unreasonable expectation when buying a home in Colorado.

This builder dominates Northern Co but everyone looks down on them. The homes look cheap and are low end quality. They use the cheapest materials and their contractors do shotty work. Crooked walls, cabinets hung off center, leaking windows and today I am dealing with a rodent issue due to the exterior not being sealed correctly. The install of my heater was done incorrectly, causing condensation and water which caused it to go out, had to replace the whole unit after 2 years. One issue after another and can't sell it to save my life. Huge mistake.... run, don't do it. Go with anyone else.

I would never purchase another home from this builder nor would I recommend doing so to others. Not…read moreonly did the builder sell the home with out a finalized certificate of occupancy (basically it means he didn't have his work permits finalized by the city and is likely because some of the work was not completed to code...), he never followed up on punch list or warranty items. To name a few issues, the "fire pit" that was added on to the home was a discontinued model and was leaking natural gas, our windows leaked water, our 3rd floor furnace leaked water through the ceiling onto our 2nd floor (also ruined the drywall), and the add-on outdoor kitchen has numerous issues. After you pay for the home, every issue will be up to you to pay out of pocket to fix or you'll need to sue Insignia. If you do decide to buy a home from Insignia (why would you do this to yourself?), ensure that you put a sizable sum in escrow and only allow it to be released after your warranty period expires, otherwise you'll be paying out of pocket.

Our complex owners have been trying for 18 months to get our certificate of insurance resolved along with the repairs under home warranties completed. He had multiple lawsuits against him and refuses to return calls. I have been personally trying for 10 months to get water damage inside my home from rooftop issues and improperly installed windows repaired and no luck. It is severely worse now and still no help. Seriously, do not buy a home from him/ insignia homes.

Where to start?…read more - We have to physically drive 15 minutes away just to check our mail any day we would like to get mail (something about they didn't register correctly with Postal service when they were setting up neighborhood) - There is no back yard. Don't expect a lawn with grass...just tall weeds: To get a lawn, we need to pay $20K more to get sprinklers, grass, and rocks near the foundation (for a small backyard). - There are no drawers in the bathrooms, just wire shelves that every tube of toothpaste or toothbrush will fall through. - Our new home doesn't even come with TP-holders in the wall?! WTH...you must bring your own for every bathroom! - There are several problems with any new home, so warranty people are reachable, but we have to wait 2 weeks for any item's app (we currently have about 6 items to add to the chaos of our recent moving boxes) - Pantry has a large portion of wasted space, because anything you put in the back of the pantry shelves cannot be reached. If something falls in the back, you have to use a broom to get it out of the pantry, bc you cant get it otherwise. - No space in the 2 car garage. You either have to choose between having your bikes in the garage OR your 2 cars. You cannot have both unless you spend money building something. Its a disappointment we spent this much money for something we have to add $30-40k to just make it a livable home. We saw the only other review on here and questioned it with our Agent, but everyone said it's only one review...turned out that one review was 100% accurate...all of our neighbors feel the same way. People here in the neighborhood are awesome, the weather is awesome, and Fort Collins is awesome, just not Dreamfinders.
