Went for happy hour and bites, sat at the spacious bar. Tried the happy hour cocktails all made fresh and well balanced clearly using fresh ingredients. If you like a dark espresso martinis please order here, they are using one of the best machines in the biz! For bites we ordered the fried dumplings and shumai, very good but smaller portions if sharing. Since I went for hh, I chose to eat on the lighter side so I ordered the salad with the fried chicken. Honestly a filling meal if paired together but do recommend ordering from the main menu if you are hungry. The ambience is interesting, you enter through the Korean beauty store(you can buy products if you ask), inside feels like a dark moody lounge/ karaoke room. They do not allow singing at tables but you can rent the private karaoke room (seats 20, we asked!) for $100 an hour, pretty cheap. They have Hallasan soju which is very hard to find and they of course have it in a few flavors so highly recommend trying, overall a fun spot, good drinks and a cool vibe! BWell, needless to say when I heard there was a Speakeasy hidden behind a Korean beauty supply store, I rushed all the way down to Lauderhill for a date night! First, the bad news.... There is no beauty supply store hiding a speakeasy. There is a purposefully curated walk through area that sells some beauty supplies, but there's also a big neon sign outside telling everyone all about it. The interior is pretty big, 2 bars have seating areas and several tables, but there's no ambiance, no real decor, just a couple TVs playing kpop videos. The drink menu has a couple of interesting finds. The lovely Spensyr said she loved her Matcha-tini, and my Crème Brûlée cocktail was a tasty riff on an espresso martini. Sadly the food was just okay, and neither the Bulgogi Flatbread or the Spicy Pork Belly felt inspired us enough to plan a second trip. read more

I think this place has a TON of potential, but they do have some kinks to work out. I believe they're new, and I do think it will grow to be a really great restaurant. I didn't realize it was a speakeasy! That was a fun surprise! I pulled up and was confused to find a skincare store. I almost left, when an employee showed me through a curtain that led to the restaurant. It's dimly lit, well-decorated, and has kpop music playing. It definitely has the ambiance of a nice date night. They had great happy hour and ladies night specials; most drinks were $10. I got the bae-b mojito and it was good! I ordered the bulgogi flatbread, which tasted burnt. Especially for the price, I would have liked it to be better. I didn't finish it. One of my friends ordered a Caesar salad, and they said they were out; I thought it was weird because that's a super standard item, it was a weeknight, and they weren't crowded. They also brought us one menu for the table, which made things a little difficult. My friends all liked their food though, and the presentation of all of the food and drinks was well-done. They came around and gave us free "Barbie shots" after our meal. They were delicious! They tasted like watermelon jolly ranchers. read more

Was eager to try them out as i remember the old spot.... and my Verdict... it's Great!!!! Went with friends for food and to catch some of the world cup match and we loved everything. Got alot of different things on the menu and shared. It all tasted amazing ans was creative. Got the some starters: cauliflower, celery, dumplings/ shumai/ , and a few others. Also the wings, sliders, tuna tartar, and a couple of other items... everything was so good! One of my friends got a cocktail and she loved it. Our server was great as well. This is a hidden gem hands down. One of our friends found it on yelp and we decided to give it a shot. Unassuming from the parking lot, but great place inside, with a speakeasy vibe. Soju drinks with tastefully put together, and service was warm and refreshing. Some folks in our group ordered some minor food and reported it to be "ok", very basic they said, but it was just sliders. I would like to give the food another shot. Regardless I would definitely come back for an easy fun place to get together with friends off the traditional path. read more

The first time we hung out in the actual lounge and had a blast, but this time we had the karaoke room, the girls and i had a TIME!! Bae-B is a rebranding of Gabose Pocha, a restaurant I have patronized for over 11 years. Since 2015, I have hosted birthday parties, attended holiday gatherings, and met friends here consistently. This place has been a constant fixture in my life for over a decade, but a recent rebranding turned my favorite Korean spot into a total disappointment, and it officially died to me last night. The charm of the handwritten menus with stickers is gone, the quirky offerings have evaporated, and the new "strip mall chic" aesthetic is an unfortunate turn for the worse. Between the terrible service, missing menu staples, and a slightly tacky new vibe that feels a bit silly pretending to be that chic in a strip mall, this local fixture is ruined--and unfortunately, moving next door to their sister restaurant didn't save the night either. When we walked in--forced to pass through an adjacent Korean beauty supply store, an odd entrance decision rather than a cool speakeasy vibe--the restaurant was busy but far from capacity. The man behind the bar saw us and never approached. Another staff member was too aloof to notice us standing there. With no host station, we waited several minutes just to be asked if we wanted a table. Clearly we did; we didn't walk to the bar. In retrospect, we should have taken the bar seating. While we waited, our ears were blasted with Bad Bunny and other reggaeton tracks. I have no aversion to loud music, but didn't we go to a Korean spot? Eventually, we were seated at a table with a tap light and handed a greasy, fingerprint-covered black paper menu that looked like it hadn't been wiped down since it was printed. Gross. Gone were most of the fun Korean staple drinks we loved, like their unique soju cocktails. Worse, prices have skyrocketed: well soju bottles jumped from $12 to $18, and cheap beers that used to be $4-$5 are now $8-$10. After ten minutes, a waiter finally took our drink order. I ordered a Korean beer and my wife ordered a Japanese lemon vodka seltzer. My beer came with a chilled glass, but her seltzer arrived in a room-temperature, iceless glass. He also brought strawberry instead of lemon. When she mentioned the mistake, it was met with odd resistance, so she just kept the strawberry. The waiter promised to be right back, leaving us no opportunity to ask for ice. I could see only three people working front-of-house on a Saturday night. Two of them never stepped out from behind the bar--one of whom I later found out was the manager, the same person who ignored us when we walked in. As we sat there getting aurally accosted by more Bad Bunny, Danza Kuduro, and a Gasolina remix, my frustration grew. I am sympathetic to short-staffed restaurants, but this was ridiculous. Other tables were getting food, yet we couldn't even get a single item ordered or get our drinks right. Thirty minutes into the experience, I tapped out. I walked up to the bar register to try to place an order, only for our waiter to ask if we wanted to cash out. Cash out?! I had been waiting at the table just to get a food order in; this is not a counter-service establishment. I asked for the manager and explained the situation. He was apologetic but had nothing else to say. Prior to the name change, we had been to Pocha post-renovation as they were transitioning. The service was meh and the food was on the decline. I didn't need to stick around and find out at this point. I wasn't looking for anything free, but if I were the manager and I glanced over at two less than half-empty glasses on the table with customers walking, I would have offered to comp it, but that didn't happen. Don't let some influencer post convince you to eat at this place. What charm "Bae-B" had as Pocha was lost years ago. Maybe they'll get it together once they fully staff the place, but we won't be back. After stepping out from Bae-B, we went to their sister restaurant, Gabose, in the same plaza. The space was immediately more pleasant, but my bulgogi beef looked sad and cost $29. The banchan pickled sides came out late and were not replenished when we asked. I requested pan-fried gyoza, but they seemed deep-fried, small, and equally sad. Our bill at Gabose was $107 with tip, which feels high for what we got. I spoke with the manager there as well to let them know about the Bae-B fail. The whole experience was sad. Shame. read more

Very unique space! Excellent Korean fusion food and drinks. Would highly recommend the kimchee pasta.
