We rode back into the station at the end of our trip and we were able to navigate from the station to security pretty easily since we were more familiar with the layout.

It's…read moreeasy and much less expensive to pay the $10-12 train fare and the $15 Uber or Lyft from Union Station to anywhere in the downtown Denver or closely adjacent areas. A ride straight to/from the airport will cost double and triple (or more) if the app is surging and they jack up the price. The irritation to commute in your own car, and the cost to park isn't worth it, IMO! The airport really isn't in "Denver", it's a way out in some suburb and they redrew the lines so they can call it "Denver". So, the drive to the airport from ACTUAL, real Denver can be a huge pain and just forget about it if it's rush hour. The train won't get caught up by this yucky traffic! The train is clean, comfortable, and feels safe as far as my experiences have gone. There is someone walking through who checks the tickets. I probably have had a couple rides where they didn't check, but not many, and that I recall this hasn't happened anymore recently -- as they do more often check, which is probably best for everyone. If you're new to Denver, spend some time if you can at Denver Union Station if this is your destination/departure stop. iIt's a very cool atmosphere with several places to eat/drink at inside. And there's a huge patio outside if the weather is nice.

Looks great! The SACFD are located next to a shopping center with a police station less than a block away. A couple years ago, we got the opportunity to take our little ones from the daycare on a field trip to station 8! Annndd not surprisingly, they were great with the kiddoes!! The entire team were super inspiring to the mini audience and showed compassion, and a welcoming environment. I felt that the visit was so educational, that even I picked up some new things. They knew how to talk with the kids and interact with them. Thank you so much.

A newer library that is part of the Denver Public Library system…read more This library is very well organized with an open floor plan that is easy to find what section you are looking for. It is very clean. There's plenty of parking. It is especially great for the kids. When we visited they were having outdoor time on the lawn. The library had lots of outdoor toys for the kids to play with along with much for them to do inside too. They have a cockpit of a plane inside this library! There is even dress up items the children can try on while pretending to fly the plane. My son absolutely loves this. Besides the plane there are plenty of toys for the kids to play with. They've got story time too of course. If you have a little they will absolutely love their visit here.

Also missing was my never used Gucci purse, a Hermes belt and a Gucci Belt. When bags were checked on Air France, the chain of command was evidently relegated to US Customs, who inspected my checked bag before it ever left the US. I believe these items were stolen, not from a foreign country, but by corrupt Border Control agents right in the USA, at Denver International Airport., who opened my bags for no reason whatsoever and stole these items valued at over $5,000.

On my return to Denver I was pleasantly surprised at how fast I got through immigration and customs, collecting my luggage and getting on the hertz shuttle bus. From the time I excited the plane to getting on the shuttle bus it was exactly one hour. At other airports it easily takes 2 hours and up to three hours. Very impressed by the speed and efficiency of the border officials. Good job

I met the owner, David, when he was doing some work for a neighbor. The neighbor spoke highly of…read morethe experience and the result, so I called the company. And I called one other company for a second bid. David showed up in time for our appointment, and his explanation of the problem (80 year old mortar in our brick house was falling out). The previous owner had gotten some of it repaired. That mortar was failing, too. I was particularly concerned because one pillar that carries a heavy load was cracked so badly (see photo) that you could see daylight through it from top to bottom. David explained why it had failed, and how the repair work someone had done years ago made matters worse. His bid that was about the same price as the other firm, but his explanation -- and the bid itself -- were so clear that D. Masonry was my obvious choice. He provided me with proof of insurance, too, a request the other company ignored. They lived up to my high expectations. Watching them work, I realized that tuck pointing is a highly skilled craft, practically an art form. They took the time to mix and try a range of mortar colors. With their help, we selected the one they advised. Now that the new mortar has completely dried, I can see it is a perfect color match. The pillar I was so nervous about? They elaborately jacked up and stabilized things, so they could remove the pillar, which they disassembled completely, laying out all the bricks (with all the old mortar removed), so they could put them back exactly as they were, only sturdy now, and good as new. Masonry repairs -- done well -- simply disappear when the work is done, right? As long as I own this house, my gratitude for this job-well-done will live on.

The instructor never came online. I assumed she had technical difficulties. After 20 minutes, I disconnected. Then I got marked as absent and was not allowed to re-join the class for the next session or make up the first session. Did they allow other students? I'll never know. I just want my money back. (I had forgotten about this experience until now because I was cleaning off my to-do list. I regret not following up with them on this. Goodbye a couple hundred bucks.)
