This review is for CROIXLAND CLEANING CENTER…read more This establishment is a combination laundromat, dry cleaner and car wash. I needed a self service car wash and pulled into an empty bay. There was a coin slot and credit card reader on the control panel, neither of which worked. Note that there is a $5 minimum posted on the card reader. The coin window was blank. I went around to the entry again and found a bay which was wet so I assumed it was operational. Again there was a label on the card reader with the $5 minimum. The coin display was blank. (I later learned that there should have been a scrolling $5 minimum. Had I known, I would have left because I did not want to spend that much to wash the car myself). I entered $2 worth of quarters and nothing happened. I went into the office and told the man what had happened. He said there is a $5 minimum on both coins and cards and took me to another bay which did have the scrolling display. I told him that the bay I was in had a blank display when I started to which he replied "Why do they always lie?" I asked for my $2 back and he told me to "Fu*k off" and walked away. I would never support a business that treats a paying customer this way, so I left and will never go back for any of their services.

Wow, I am super impressed with this car wash! If you are looking for a great car wash spot,…read moreespecially one that offers a great interior cleaning, this is the best value in the entire Twin Cities! I got the "car spa" interior service and then a normal exterior wash. The exterior wash was fine, a bit better than other auto car washes, but just a bit better. However, the interior cleaning was amazing, especially for $60ish. Sure, you can probably get a slightly better deep cleaning at a detailing service, but that will cost you $200 or more. For $60, they vacuumed everywhere, cleaned all of the seats and dashes, and made the floor mats look spotless. It was a complete transformation. And it all only took about 45 minutes (there's a great coffee shop a couple blocks away, look at my reviews for info about that while you wait). If you are looking for a great value interior car cleaning, this is your spot!

I appreciate the convenience and efficiency of Crew Carwash. The location is easy to access, and…read morethe hours are great which makes it simple to fit a wash into a busy day with the unlimited pass. The process typically moves quickly, which is a big plus. I also really like that vacuums are available for use, and the staff have always been friendly and welcoming. That said, for the cost, I expect a more complete clean. The front of my vehicle--where bugs and grime build up--rarely comes out clean. I've noticed there's an automatic sprayer aimed at the front, but honestly, it doesn't do much. What's really needed is the handheld sprayer that staff can use while vehicles go through, but it's never used. I understand the importance of keeping cars moving efficiently, but for the price, customers want and deserve a car that actually looks clean. Another frustration is that staff on-site can't (or don't) assist with changes to your wash plan. Anytime there's an issue, you're told to contact customer service instead of being helped in the moment. It would be much more convenient and reassuring if small adjustments or questions could be handled right then and there. Overall, I do like using Crew Carwash, but seeking other unlimited wash plans at different places. Worth mentioning a few service improvements and more customer-friendly policies as the experience could be much better.

After a blizzard dumped a ton of snow on my poor Texas car, leaving it cold and sad and wheels…read morefilled with ice creating an imbalance, I decided to get it washed hoping the warm water would melt the snow and ice covering my car like a tight glove. Upon my arrival, I was warmly greeted by a very professional young man and the window. He pointed out my options, I selected one and headed through. A second man guided me into the rail which pulls your car along the wash. After the first wash didn't do the job, I pulled around and I was graciously allowed to go through a second time. After the second time didn't do the job, I pulled and poked the remaining snow and ice off the car and drove around for a third pass, which I was allowed to do, free of charge. The third time didn't the trick. Although I didn't take off a star for the wash not doing a superb job, I felt at best that would be just a half star off. The saving grace was the staff being very friendly and helpful (allowing a few extra passes). Customer service is very important to me and the Ship Shape Car Wash had that in spades! One note for the owners (if they review these comments) is to perhaps turn up the pressure or water temp? Overall, a very pleasant experience!

I visited Tommy's Express Car Wash in mounds view and signed up for the unlimited works wash…read moremembership but unfortunately this location seems to be in serious need of maintenance. I purchased the Works wash, and while the wash itself was okay, it was nothing special and there was no tire shine applied. After the wash, I moved over to the interior cleaning area to use the vacuums. I tried four different vacuum stations and none of them were working properly. Three had very little suction, and one was completely inoperable. The floor mat washer was also not working. I spoke with an attendant about the issue and was told the vacuums were working fine, which clearly wasn't the case. I eventually had to speak with the manager to get a refund. During that conversation, he blamed customers for being rough on the equipment and said they had just spent $5,000 replacing vacuum motors. I do appreciate that they ultimately issued a refund, but the condition of the equipment and the initial response from staff made for a frustrating experience. If the vacuum area--which customers can clearly see--is in this condition, it makes me wonder what kind of shape the brushes and other components inside the wash tunnel are in, since those are the parts actually touching customers' vehicles. This location could really benefit from better maintenance and a more customer-focused response when issues are raised.
