Giving 5-stars to an adult store is awkward for me to say the least. Frankly I'm surprised I had the nerve to walk in, but I needed a gag gift and I couldn't think of a better place to find one. No sleazy, poorly lite interior here. They know good lighting means a cheerful environment and a clean view of the merchandise. Let me tell you, these folks know how to put someone at ease. I was in need of a few things for a bachelorette weekend and called ahead to ask if they had all of the things in stock (I didn't want to make multiple trips around town for things). The lady on the phone was incredibly helpful and offered to have all the things held for me to come in later in the day to purchase. When I arrived, I felt comfortable and welcome. I looked around a bit just to see what else they had. I saw a few things I will certainly be back for! I bought my items (check in offer on Yelp for 15%! an item!) and spoke with the woman behind the counter a bit. She was so nice and polite. I'll for sure be back to this location. Okay, so I went in today and right away this sweet lady asked me what I was looking for. I immediately felt comfortable with her so I told her I had a package of toys arriving tomorrow and was just looking for smaller vibes for the night. She led me back to a room where like such was found, and showed me a few things. (Keep in mind most things are $150+) As I stated, I just wanted something small to have fun with that wasn't super over pricey. SHE WATCHED AND FOLLOWED ME THE WHOLE TIME. I was so uncomfortable! She didn't even bother to show me the bottom rack which is exactly what I was looking for. Still $40-60 but no more. She pointed me out to a "more affordable" clitoral stimulator toy for $74 so I said okay I'll take it, like the idiot I am. She mentioned at checkout if the toy had any malfunctions or deformities that I could bring it back for a brand new replacement of the same exact toy. Awesome, sounds amazing. Never mentioned that there are no refunds of any kind for any toys. I understand this policy I really do however, they need to make sure the customer understands this. I drove five minutes down the road, looked up the toy I had just purchased for $81 and saw it on many high end toy sites for $35-48. I felt like I was scammed. I drove back with the toy not touched and still in box and explained to her that it's not okay for them to be charging so much when the product at cost is so much less. She said "I don't choose the prices" . And I get that. She just works there. But like how can you feel okay charging people 100% more for what the toy is at cost. I ended up getting store credit because I wasn't happy at all. I got the rose and that, is also, $40 from the site itself and bad kitty charges $74. Sick scammers. I would be ashamed to work there. In short, the hygiene of their products is in question: I went in looking for a simple vibrator. The clerk was insanely friendly, and did everything but hold my hand through the process. The toy i wanted was in a box that was already opened. I asked about it, and the clerk looked through the box to make sure everything was fine. Afterwards she assured me the product would be safe. I bought the toy, and left the store happy. I called the store the next day, asking about their refund/exchange policy. I was told that as long as the box was unopened, there should be no problem. When I heard this, I mentioned that my box was already opened before I purchased the product. They recommended I come in so they could work something out with me. Well I just got out of the store, and basically was told by manager/shift lead that nothing could be done for me. Because the "seal" was already broken. I told him that my product never had a seal (and thank God one of the employees from last night was here today. Otherwise i doubt he'd believe me). He then retorted that I should've never been sold the product. So I asked if there was anyway I could have a refund, given that I was sold a unhygienic product... one that breaks their own policy. I was told no. Even the the employee from earlier today said unopened toys could be returned. He gave me another toy. One that he claimed was sealed, and recommended I contact Adam and Eve myself. I opened the box just now and guess what? No seal on this product either. I'm absolutely convinced they're selling products that are rifled through. They want to hold their customers to the return policy, but don't want to hold their employees to the same policies. Needless to say I'm disappointed and will never be frequenting another one of these establishments. read more

On vacation in Charleston, and found that we were in need of a few small necessities. This store was about a mile from our hotel, had plenty of parking and was well signed. The associate was friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The store over all was clean, well organized and didn't give off that "creepy" vibe that some sex stores have. Badd Kitty is brand new to Charleston and I am already a regular customer! I love lingerie and they have the cutest stuff I have seen! The quality is much better than VS, so far I haven't had a wire poking me or elastic coming apart somewhere. They also carry some fun in the bedroom items for me and my bf! I got a "Naughty bag" which is a bag of stuff for $25. I didn't know what was in it until I got home, but it had something for me and for him along with some other little things. It is a cute idea and I am glad I found it. The customer service was great, not too pushy and they knew a lot about the products.
