Not sure how this title got awarded to me by a bunch of strangers in my class, but somehow Buzz (one of the teachers) thinks that Kyla and I strip. Kyla and I are the youngest students in the class by about 30 years, and, well, how can I say this nicely, this isn't the classiest of courses to take... but for $80 what can you expect? Bring your humor and your creativity and you can get a lot out of a class like this. I scored high on my mom's "Who is my favorite child this holiday list" because I made her a turquoise pendent for Mother's day/her 60th birthday. The same group of teachers have been putting on the class for the past 30 years, and although some of them seem a bit grouchy, tired and pissed that we are all there... I think they have fun teaching us. $80 is the cost of the course, and it buys you 10 different days of two-hour classes and you get to make three different projects: a pendent, a lightning bolt bracelet, and a box ring. This class takes a lot of patience and attention to detail... You will especially fit in nicely if you wear overalls and bring your toolbox full of jewelry making tools.... Kyla instead found me a purple caboodle that is in great condition, and this has worked just great... Except nobody seems to know what a caboodle is in the class. This class is not acceptable for people who get very competitive because there will always be that person who has worked on the sawing of their silver while they were home watching "Dancing with the Stars" this past week, and you will always be behind them, so don't even try. Overall, this is a great way to awaken on your creative side and do something different. And men, don't be shy, there are tons of gents in the class... And a guy that knows how to make jewelry will always get you extra brownie points. Hyland Hills also offers other exciting creative adventures such as: Skydiving simulator, tap dance, or disc golf... among other goodies and adventures. * Star one is for offering a creative outlet to the public that is affordable, accessible and instructive ** Meet star number two, he is presented to the sliversmithing class for allowing me to become an amateur stripper... Hey, where are the tips anyway? *** Star three is for the opportunity to make jewelry on equipment that is hard to have access to otherwise Star four was stolen due to the lack of sexiness in the class... I mean, obviously Kyla and I were sexy, but the process is more frustrating and rushed then encouraging and innovative. Mista star five was taken way due to the ghetto and far location off of Federal.

The picturesque rolling hills, ponds, trees, reeds, bushes and wild flowers are a BONU$ for those that are hiking and playing thru the 9-18 holes. Experienced Disk Golfers carefully evaluate each challenging obstacle, before selecting the appropriate Disk, for that perfect throw toward the elusive Disk in One! I had the pleasures of walking along with the two pairs of Team Disk Players that are experienced and extremely talented players with a passionate for the thrill of competition and a brotherhood connection that spurred lively conversations at each launch point. I could not help getting lost in natures unique and beautiful moments here at this beautiful park, located next to Water World. The park also overlooks those majestic Rocky Mountains! My journey begins watching an elusive dragonfly, as it weaves in and out of my path, much like a coast guard helicopter, surveying the coastline during a rescue exercise. Busy honey bees also float from each clump of wild flowers throughout the course, enjoying the nectar of each lovely bloom. The park is also home to majestic arrangements of trees that emulate strength and a wide variation of colors, signaling fall is now the season. There is also a few dormant trees bearing ghostly grey branches that have the appearance of Halloween Witches hands, reaching sky word, trying to grasp ahold of the fluffy cotton candy clouds floating by. These trees standout alongside the leafy groupings. While this vast park has baron spots scorched by the summer sun, there are also a mix of heavy overgrowth in some areas. Not a perfectly maintained park but it is a well maintained park. The city crews that upkeep this beautiful park deserve a huge Mahalo and recognition for their efforts in maintaining the epic landscape of the area, showcasing the unique beauty of Colorado. I can't wait to someday, have the ability to also play along each pathway. As for today's epic fall tour, I can not express in words, the joy of each priceless moments, shared with my friends today! Get outside and enjoy the beauty and wonder of Colorado's Parks and Recreation!

They must have a really good PR department and social media person to draw so many people to this place. I played it two years ago. Still, the same issue...navigation is not consistent. Some baskets have arrows pointing to where the next hole is, others do not. We spent a great deal of time looking for hole 11. Even Udisc didn't help much. I called and checked the conditions before I came and they said it was wide open and mowed. Not so much. A good straight shot and you're OK, but if it's off in the weeds, you might have to say goodbye to your favorite disc. My friend lost two of his brand-new discs today. I saw other people searching the fields for their discs in the heavy weeds, which slows down play for everyone. You save $2 for making online reservations, but there are no refunds and no rescheduling. I think it's better just to show up. If you're there early it won't be too crowded, but the later it gets, the more people show up. I'm done with this place, I think there are many courses better than this one, and most of them are free...sans being rated one of the top courses in the world. Still, tons of people flock to this place, so more power to 'em. The more people enjoying the sport of disc golf, the better!! On another note, it wouldn't be a bad idea to wear some sturdy shoes or even boots...you are in the mountains and some of the terrain is slippery and rough.

Awesome course. Great fun!…read more Average score for course is set to ~54 pts. Open, spacey, and not too many water hazards. No trees, meaning no natural shade. But there are gazebos and an outhouse. A bit of construction at the moment, dunno what they're doing. The biggest hole distance are on holes 9, 11, and 16 averaging about 430ft. Be on the look out for bikers and hikers tho. And for this wonderful log!

It's a a nice course. A lot of though has gone into the tee pads areas. There's a place to scrape the mud off your shoes (although there was no mud when I played), trash cans, even a separate trash can for recycling, a sign post with hole information, and very nice sized concrete tee pads. Some holes even had big logs to sit on while you wait to let your plastic fly. I'd say Village Greens has the best tee pad area of any disc golf course I've ever played. It's a fairly logical course to navigate. I think it would be nice if they had arrows directing you to the next hole. Be sure and download UDisc so you can navigate. The holes aren't very technical. It would be a good place to take someone who has never played. I'm a very average player with low arm speed and I can easily par every hole. A really good player would get lots of birdies and maybe an ace once in a while. That being said, it gets really windy in the afternoon. So much so that your 20-foot putt will catch air and go off 75 feet in the opposite direction. Not too many pars for me on the windy days. Even in the mornings, there's a slight breeze, but not enough to really mess up your game. A couple of holes are near high grass and willows. Be careful there or you might lose your disc in the high grass. Other than that, it's pretty wide open, and finding your discs isn't much of a problem. The tee pads are great. Plenty wide and plenty of room to make your run-up. The baskets are also in good shape and have flags on them to help determine what the wind is doing. It can get really crowded and the play can be slow because it's a decent course and it's beginner-friendly. I'd suggest playing early in the morning if you want less wind and less waiting to throw. I arrived at 7:30 am on a Saturday and was able to play quickly. A couple of people let me play through which is super cool. By 9:00 am when I was done, it was packed and several large groups were waiting to play. Again, that's a Saturday, but even on a weekday afternoon, it can be fairly crowded. Another big plus about this course is there were no prairie dog holes and no geese. Other DG courses in the area have either tons of prairie dog holes, or geese droppings, or both. I experienced none of that at Village Green. This is a really nice park. There's a restroom near holes 9 and 18 and also an area with covered tables. There's also an area for mountain bikers and some soccer fields that are part of the park. Parking is ample and easy. I really applaud whoever designed this park, and also the people who do such a terrific job maintaining it.

They are learning the rules of disc golf and getting quite good. We typically skip hole 5 due to the extreme blind throw over the creek and the kids just can't quite throw that hard yet. This particular day was quite busy and we were doing our best to ensure we weren't holding up the people behind us. We skipped hole 5 again and waited behind a couple of people at hole 6. A group came up after us and when it was our turn, they stepped up in front of us as if take their turn. I was confused but tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and said it's ok if you go ahead of us. The man immediately and argumentatively harassed us for having cut the line. My husband stepped in and tried to diffuse the situation, while trying to understand how he came to accuse us of cutting when that was precisely what he'd just done. Apparently he saw us skip hole 5 and didn't understand why and thought we just didn't want to wait. I completely under this point of view but unfortunately he wouldn't let us explain and essentially screamed at us until we decided to walk away. It was a truly unpleasant experience and I feel as though we could have discussed it more civilly but were never given the chance. I haven't ever encountered anyone that passionate about playing every hole, but with kids that's just not possible. I hope we are able to visit again and put this behind us but I suppose I just want others to be aware that there are players who feel strongly about certain aspects of this course. Overall it's a decent course with lots walking which is the part we previously enjoyed.
