Great all around flavor (I had Teriyaki and Garlic Parm, my daughter had BBQ) and the sauces were thick! I called the order in and got recs from the staff. They were very friendly and helped me pick out the whiskey infused BBQ and buffalo garlic wings. New Kid in the neighborhood selling wings so we decided to give them a try. We had been waiting for the place to open as we had seen the work being done on it. As I don't do chicken wings a lot, I was not sure about the prices as 6 wings were $12.99 for bone-in and $13.99 for boneless, but that seems to be the going rate. I will say that the price per piece goes down if you order larger quantities. BadaWings is a cute little place with a very Chicago feel to it. It's all chicken, Goodfellas and Al Capone with a cozy fireplace. There are four two-top tables and they are nicely spaced apart. There is also a TV mounted above the fireplace. Th chicken wings were pretty tasty. We ordered both boneless and bone-in: for the boneless we got them tossed in Costello Korean sauce and for the bone-in we got the lemon pepper rub. Both were very good. The Costello Korean sauce had a kick to it but was nice. The boneless wings themselves were nice, juicy and tender; I was able to cut through them with just a fork. The bone-in wings with the lemon pepper rub were nicely fried, with the skin being nicely crisped. The lemon pepper rub was applied artfully, not overpowering the chicken. It was not salty and complemented the chicken nicely. The chicken was cooked nicely, again juicy and tender. Both came with your choice of sauces. We got the ranch and a jalapeno ranch, and they were of a nice size. For an extra $1.99, I ordered fries with the wings. The fries were more like pomme frites, not crunchy but soft, which I like. They were good with the ranch sauce. I also got an order of onion rings, but those were just okay, nothing special. They also have a selection of sandwiches and salads you can order from. There are a couple of them I would love to try, like the Sausage Patty. And they have something called cauliflower wings, which I assume are for the vegetarian crowd. Not sure if they are BOYB, but that would be nice to have bubbles and wings sitting by the fireplace. It is nice to be able to get lemon pepper wings and not have to drive miles to get them. I would usually ask for well done but gave them the benefit of the doubt since it was my first time there. I tried 3 different sauces. The Nashville, Al Capone and Gambino Buffalo. No sauce was overpowering. Other places wanna have the hottest wing sauce but that just overpowers the meal to the point where it's not enjoyable. Not at Badabing. I am more of a dry rub kinda girl so I'm pretty particular with wings because if there's a hint of dryness I tend to not be a fan because there isn't sauce on them to cover up the dryness. There's quite a selection and when we came on a weeknight this place was pretty busy but service was rather quick for the number of people inside. Hesitant to try again I decided i'll try them out due to great reviews I was seeing. I decided to then get the Sweet Heat flavor 6 piece wing with a side of fries. Gott say a lot better than the first time , the wings were crispy the sauce was perfect. Only things I would say is that I wish there was more ranch that came with the meal and the the stock fries we a little mushy. Their a lot of places in Chicago to get chicken wings. However, there are not many places that have sauces like Badabing Wings or is as fun. First, their theme and decor is a lot of fun. As you might have guessed it from the name, the restaurant has a mob and gangster them. As you walk through the door you are greeted by a life size cardboard cut out of Tony Soprano. I liked the exposed brick interior that has tons of mob movie related posters and paraphernalia. They even had a mod movie playing on their TVs. Second, their food is delicious. I got six wings of each of the following flavors: honey BBQ, Al Capone's sauce and Godfather's sweet n' spicy. I liked them all, but favorite was Al Capone's sauce. It has a smooth taste with a spicy finish. I also highly recommend their jalapeño ranch sauce as a dipping sauce. The wings them sleeve were large and juicy. They are also halal, if that is important to you. I also enjoyed their sweet potato fries. I loved that they were super crunchy, and not soggy like a lot of sweet potato fries. Update - I got bone in wings this time for a Super Bowl party and they were a hit. Let's break down a few components: 1) Wings themselves were probably more of a 3 or 4. Nothing wrong but inconsistent sizes so it'd be hard to ensure even cooking which is what we experienced. Some were big and juicy and some were small and dry. 2) Sauce - this might be the best thing about this place. Their sauces are awesome! Tried Honey BBQ, Al Capone, Fire, Garlic Buffalo, Mango Habanero, and the Lemon Pepper rub and asked for them extra wet/rubbed based on other reviews and everyone enjoyed each flavor. 3) Service/ambiance - my husband picked up so I didn't experience this myself but he said Jose (the owner) was so nice and really took care of him. That he could tell he really cared about providing great wings and great service. Apparently they sold ~20,000 wings that day and there was ~40 people waiting for their wings when he got there and the team was running a tight ship and keeping everyone moving. 4) Price - still think the price is high but it is what it is. Furthermore I appreciate how the owner didn't attack me for my last review and admitted that the boneless are small and not their specialty. Maybe he learned or maybe that other reviewer was an internet warrior who knows but my experience with him and the entire team was pleasant. Overall, not the best wings I've ever had or anything (understandably so with a million orders being made and going out at the exact same time pre Super Bowl) but I'm glad to have this option in the neighborhood and am excited to try this place again on a normal night. :) read more
