First visit here and I'm quite baffled. We had three different waitresses but hardly saw them at all. We ordered the queso dip and chips as well as the boneless wings. When I asked about the heat on the mango habanero wings the waitress said I have no idea. I don't like hot things. Um, that's your job to be able to give recommendations on the food. They were pretty busy and the appetizers came out in about 25 minutes, which was fine, but the wings were lukewarm, and the queso dip was cold. Baffled again. Had a hard time flagging down one of those three waitresses to tell them. It was fish fry night, so they canceled the normal menu, which seemed pretty strange to me and had a smattering of other items . I really didn't want fish again this Friday so that was pretty disappointing I I found the normal menu on their Facebook page & it looked really really good. On a good note the fish was really really good, but my cheeseburger was less than impressive. All in all. I'm not sure if I'd give them a second try which is too bad cause I really like to support the small town small business. read more

My brother introduced me to this gem. The Ambience warm & cozy, service is on beat , the food is fire, everything checks off for the perfect bar & grill shenanigans. I loved the decor inside, the different bar games especially that there's a pool table. Glad to be returning and on the 1st day of the new year! Cheers to that!! read more

Been going to Bad River for almost five years now. Never a bad time or a bad meal. The girls know their stuff and treat folks like family.

Great lunch We stopped for lunch about noon on Tuesday. It was great. Nice bar menu and cold beer. There was just one women tending to customers and she did a wonderful job. Decided to stop on for lunch with my Dad after a bike ride on the Saginaw Valley Rail Trail. We were here for lunch on Father's Day, when we first entered, there were about 8 or 9 people sitting at the bar, and maybe 9 tables, we sat in the atrium area that faces Tony's. Our waitress was quick to appear and provided drinks swiftly. Be warned; this is mainly a mixed drink or bottle beer establishment. There are only two taps; Budweiser and Oberon. Our waitress referred to the Oberon as a "dark beer". So if you are a beer snob, this isn't the bar for you. We both had a cheeseburger, one of us had sweet potato fries and one of us had the onion rings. The service out of the kitchen was quite slow (a table of two nearby left before their food was delivered) but the wait staff was attentive. We found our burgers to be very tasty, and the onion rings were the best rings I've ever had. Will I eat here again? I won't say no. Will I go out of my way to eat here? Nope, but only because I AM a beer snob! Overall, a good small-town bar with delicious burgers. read more

My sister & I stopped in Tues afternoon for the first time. We realized very quickly we had arrived at shift change. The person who took our order was not the person who continued to tend to us. The food was very good. My sister had a burger, delicious. I chose the blackened chix quesadilla. (Touche' to the cook who gave me one wee bit of green pepper after I specified "absolutely No" green peppers. Haha!) The bar has an average beer selection, but we found one to please our tastes. BUT~~~ If you are in a hurry, you should probably ask for your bill when they drop the food. We finished our food, our beer, & no bartender to be found. When we Finally got her attention (it required us standing, putting on coats, gathering things, & looking like we were ready to D&D!) we waited more than 25 minutes for her to give us our bill. That is uncalled for. She was not in the weeds, we should not have had to wait that long. Then she had to tally the bills to give to us. She didn't even have them ready. We received a sketchy looking carbon-copy of a hand scribbled note, which she then tore in half & gave each of us "our" copy. This could have easily been a 5* review, my sister & I have made our careers in the Food & Bev industry. We notice things others don't & we also let some things slide. I think the only reason we got Any attention from her was because we were sitting near the empty beer cases. She had to walk past us to put the bottles into the boxes. Will we return? Maybe. This is the place for you if your just an alcoholic, but then again the prices are a little too high for that either food was as basic as it gets but Sonys as much as a fine dining restaurant and on top of that the food wasn't even that good. The worst part is the experience you either get ignored or just treated like you shouldn't be there. They do not require masks for customers or employees. They don't follow many Covid-19 protocols and let people pack in without masks. If they value their business they should show consideration for the heath and safety of their employees and customers. read more

Our mission has become finding great stops on the journey home from northern Michigan to our home in the Detroit area. This was an area we hadn't explored yet and we decided on this places based on other reviews. No disappointment here! We were greeted by, I'm guessing, the owner. He sat with us for a few minutes and ran down his recommendations. We ordered a few cocktails and they arrived promptly. Our server, the very efficient and friendly Pauline arrived with our drinks and took our order. The homemade pork rinds arrived promptly. They were hot and crisp. Shortly after, our Rueben arrived. As promised by the owner, the corned beef was tender and tasty. They slow cook it in apple cider with perfect results. The hand cut fries were very fresh. There wasn't a lot of sports worth watching, but good music was playing. The town of St. Charles is adorable, with several options for dining. We will definitely be back to explore all options. There is a rail trail nearby for cyclists. read more

I'm a traveling salesman and the first time at this clean bar with a small town bar atmosphere. I personally like the mix match seating arrangement. The wings were amazing, the Hot BQQ sauce is seriously better then anything I've tried before. If I'm back in town for work I'm stopping in for lunch. read more
