Okay first of all, the place is easy to find. Second of all, when you go to open the door you feel different I don't know why but that's what happened to me.. It's really important and it's almost 45% of feeling and it's really important to know what to pot in the business. Okay about the ppl inside the tattoo guys, I can't even explain how I'm happy with the choice I made to do it over the.. first I get to know the man behind the face and all of the tattoos, and after that I'm doing the actual tattoo.. Important thing is that the man who do the tattoo he's not charging any money for drawing on the hand or on the paper and this is a great thing and another thing is that he's taking per hour and he start the time when he do the tattoo and not from the second you got into the business. And yes that was painful but, the way he did it and always talk with you and keeping you calm it's nice. So Thank you tattoo U , very recommended place. Definitely if I do another tattoo I'm going there again.

So initially I was pretty happy with the work until about 3 weeks later when it started to heal up. The work was really splotchy. I went back for the touch up and asked bacon to fix a few things. It became kind of half ass'd work. Went back a third time and finally got the bad spots fixed. I have to say Bacon is pretty cool but it should not have taken 3 trips to get things right.

If you're looking for a tattoo artist who really knows what he's doing, you need to see Mike! Myself, my Fiancé and my friend who was visiting from out of town wanted to all get tattooed together. We called him on short notice, and told him exactly what we wanted. He said that he would have us come in after an appointment he had, and take care of all of us. The appointment before us took him 6 hours! By the time we got there, it was 6:30PM and he got started right away. He's very friendly, plays awesome music, and has so much awesome stuff to look at. His shop closes at 8pm on Saturday's, and by the time he was done, it was almost 11pm. He's a trooper!!! He went out of his way just to make sure that we were being taken care of. That meant so much to us! He is very detailed, with every line, personally this is my second tattoo from him, and I couldn't be happier! My finances tattoo is awesome! Mike came up with the design for him, and it turned out amazing! My girlfriend got an image from a comic, and it looks like he peeled it off the page! We were so grateful that he stuck around well after closing to ensure we were happy. And trust me, we are thrilled! He is a very funny, nice and interesting person. It was nice to be able to just hang out in Mike's shop, while getting tattooed. He made us feel at home, made us really comfortable, and ensured that we got exactly what we were looking for! We can't thank him enough! Mike is an extremely talented and well rounded artist. He has over 25 years of experience! You HAVE to see Mike, he's so awesome! Mike is a true artist. He provides advise when needed but dosent push you anywhere. Mike can go old style, or up to date imaging. My first tattoo with Mike was a Louis Royo Image of A BLACK TINKERBELL with some custom artwork I added to make it mine. 12 years later and many new artwork pieces he is now completing my crucifix on my chest. This crucifix represents my giving my heart and soul to Jesus Christ. I am attaching this artwork to give you an idea of Mike's talent, and me wanting to show off my love of God and the this artwork. read more

Mike is a badass. I came in with a few pictures of a butterfly tattoo and told him the general idea... I (and my friends) wanted matching 3D butterfly tattoos and he put something together that looked simply AMAZING. If you've ever had a tattoo before you know what it means when the guy inking you has a "light hand." As painless as can be expected (beauty is pain). Super friendly, funny and personable guy. He will schedule appointments over the phone (unlike a few other places in the area that make you physically come in, put down a $60 non-refundable deposit and they MIGHT be able to see you when you schedule it). This was my most positive tattoo experience to date. Our tats had some elaborate coloring/blending and he made our tats IDENTICAL. Mike is an expert at what he does! I will be coming back the next time I'm in Phoenix! read more

I first met the owner of Bacon's Tattoo U, Michael, about 2 months ago. I walked in to get a flying pig on the inside of my right arm.We shot the s^%t for about a 1/2 hour when he said..."do you know what my last name is? It's Bacon." That's when I knew he was the one to do my work. He listened to what I wanted and why I wanted it and created a master piece. He works quickly; has great stories to share; and cares about quality and satisfaction. The overall experience of his shop and his work is top notch. Most importantly he is affordable. I'm looking forward to working with him on my next piece. read more

Michael is a good tattoo artist when it comes to fixin or covering up art. sometimes, he goes on a whim without telling the customer. His attitude sucks. your a minute late and hes done with you, even if you came clear across the county line. even if he has no one else there. he will throw you out. read more

I originally went to Rad-a-tat-tattoo for what I thought would be a simple cover up. The original tattoo was 2 hearts no bigger than 2x2. I was told I neededalmost a half sleeve to cover this small tattoo. Leaving dissatisfied I went and checked tattoo u without knowing anything about the place. Michael was opening the store as I pulled in and took the time to look at what I wanted and within the hour the tattoo was drawn up and finished. He also took the time to speak to my step-son regarding a tattoo idea that he has. I'm extremely grateful to have been turned away from the previous tattoo shop. From now on we will go to Michael. No questions asked. BTW... He was the most reasonably priced tattoo artist I have ever gone to in my life. read more

Got my first Tattoo yesterday here with Michael. Awesome guy, excellent work, took my sketch and he improved on it, added some details I hadn't pondered. The needle work was excellent, no blood, minimal pain, at one day it looks even better than I had hoped. I am a pretty big guy and have 21" arms, he knocked out an upper arm piece in about 3 hours, I had been told at other shops it would take at least 5 hours. I will be going back for the other arm when I can decide on all of the details for that tat. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some quality work, Tattoos are not an item that you price shop for!!!! Came to this place a while back and had a great experience. Dennis was super cool and listen to what I wanted. Took suggestions and had a great attitude. Super good work and priced right. This place should be 6 stars, Michael what a great guy and fantastic artist!!! If you live near by you will know about this place already, I found this shop on yelp and it certainly lived up to the reviews, great conversation, good music and most importantly a tattooist who takes pride in his work. I wish I didn't have to write this follow-up. A few months ago I got some work done at the shop and I am happy with the work itself. The problem is that I used gift certificates and the owner was not pleased about that as he was expecting cash. When I presented the gift certificates as payment he informed me that that money was already spent and that he wished I would've told him ahead of time. It made me wonder if I would've received a different quality of work or even a slower process if I would've informed him that I had gift certificates to use. Very disappointing and I will not be back. read more

If you want a tattoo artist that is going to be professional with you, don't go here! My husband and I came in excited we saw the good reviews and thought he seems pretty good. He was polite in the beginning but he became more and more narcissistic about his tattooing and stopped listening to what I was asking. He got frustrated when I had something changed (make this smaller, more even, etc...) This shit is permeant I am allowed to be picky! Before we started he tattoo he poked me with a needle that didn't have ink "too see if I was squirmish" I was very offended by this because not a minute before he asked if I had another tattoos and where. One on my rib cage and one on my finger. I think if I have a rib cage tattoo I can perfectly handle a wrist tattoo! I was getting a very personal tattoo done (to commemorate the loss of our unborn child), the artist continually ridiculed my husband and I about our situation. He also said that our age and the fact that we got married at age 18 was the reason behind our loss. If he wasn't almost done with my tattoo when he said this we would have walked out. My tattoo was finished with blue and pink highlighting as I asked for more highlighting, he said, "you only said you wanted a little so that is what I did." My mouth almost dropped I am the client I want more highlighting give it to me! When he finished my tattoo he applied the plastic wrap and tape. The tape was on my arm hair and it hurt more to take that off than the damn tattoo. We went to pay (I had called on the phone earlier to ask about pricing and he didn't tell us he didn't except card.) I had to stay (because I had the tattoo) while my husband got money from the ATM (I am not a trusting person) I felt very uncomfortable being in a new place with a new person alone. Now that we are home I love my tattoo and what it means but I WILL be getting it touched up by the artist we usually go to because the lines are not clean and the numbers are not even. (The tattoo artist we usually go to and will be going to from now on is in San Tan Valley.) My advise you if find someone you like stick with him/her no matter how far the drive. read more

Got work done by Michael Bacon today. Super awesome guy and he is very personable. I have a decent amount of tattoos (18+ hours) and he is definitely worth the hour drive it took to get to the shop in Chandler. I will be going back to him within the months for more work on my leg. Don't guess with other artists know you are in good hands @ tattoo u. read more

Mike was so patient and understanding with me. I went in for my first tattoo consultation and we talked for a long time about what I wanted. This meant a lot to me after my grandpa died and I wanted to get something to remember him by. Mike helped me with the design and I am constantly asked where I got my work done. Vibrant colors and unique design, I highly recommend him!!!! He is a true artist- not just your run of the mill shop. I've had tattoos done here before but never by the owner who always came off as a prick to me. I went in recently to have him do some tattoos and he definitely proved me correct! He has no customer service skills, acts like you are wasting HIS time for even being there and he is so cocky about what he does that he doesn't take the time to work with you to make sure you're happy about what you're putting on your body FOREVER! I will never step foot in that place again and I will make sure everyone I know does the same and passes the word along. Horrible customer service travels fast. If you want a tattoo, go somewhere where they actually care about the customer! I went to Club tattoo, had 6 tattoos done and had the best experience ever. He's way too cocky. I'm glad we didn't do business with him, no way would I have trusted a man like him to tattoo anything on me ever and I highly recommend you do the same! I will definitely pass the word around. I have a rule, if someone in the customer service industry complains to the customer about how shitty their day was or how shitty they feel, how bogged down they are etc. ~ that is unprofessional. We are the customer and YOU are there to serve us. He didn't do that on any level whatsoever. read more

This spot came highly recommended from friends but mostly my trusted niece. She came here to get her eyebrow piercing and raved about their services. With several locations, we preferred the Tempe location. Super easy to schedule an appointment online and quick forms to complete before your appointment. I opted to get my nose pierced and potentially two more ear piercings. The selection of jewelry varies from affordable to really high end solid gold. The receptionist was so knowledgeable and wonderful at making suggestions for my choices. Love her style and she was spot on in matching my vibe. I loved being able to mix my metals of gold, silver and rose gold. For me, I wanted higher quality and fashionable pieces so my total was over $700 with the piercings and jewelry. They also had MDW sale discount of 20% but that eventually went as my tip to my piercer Josh. He is super cool and very thorough. Made me feel comfortable and laughing. My niece had Aubrilynn and loved her. As for the piercing, it is not painful at all. If you can take waxing or plucking, it's easy peasy! There is a little soreness on my left ear but it went away after treating myself to Taiwanese pancakes and jelly tea. You should purchase the saline solution to keep your piercings clean. Accessories are the exclamation point to your outfit. So if you're up for it, get pierced here with any of their incredible staff. To me, overdressed is a myth invented by those who have never been fabulous.

Once I was shirtless, he invited another man -- who doesn't work there but I guess gets tattoos at the shop often-- into the room and had a conversation with him over my body. I never received any apology for the lack of professionalism. Disgusting service.

I went in to get my 10" chef's knife done on my tricep/shoulder about 4 months ago. he was highly recommended. It was my first tat and i was stoked. I've seen his work and he is good at freehanding things but when it comes to straight lines and even tracing he is mediocre at best. My knifes edge is crooked and the handle is so wavy it looks like he has the shakiest hands in the business. he even laid down a stencil to tat over. The handle isn't even filled in completely and looks blotchy. It only took him an hour and a half so maybe he just rushed. I came back a few weeks later and told him i was disappointed and showed him the work and he just told me it was still healing as if it would magically become straight once healed and rudely said come back in a week if you still don't like it, I decided i don't want him to try to fix it and i'll just get a professional to try to cover up the damage. all in all after seeing bacon's work if you want something freehanded and don't really care about the details he's good for the job. if you want something with straight lines and detail oriented then find somewhere else. read more

Awesome experience, definitely serious about the work that he does. Micheal's work is OUTSTANDING and I've been to many shops for tattoos. That's because he is a true artist and has been doing this for years. This is not a place to push out the tats for cash. Michael wants to make sure you know what you are getting and it is your choice. He will give you advise and customize what you want. He quoted me the best price in town and in the shortest amount of time. He is quick, knows his shit and gets the job done in half the time it takes others-I am definitely happy I found an artist that I can trust -and look forward to my next appointment. read more

My father in law got a full backpiece from Randi at Tattoo U and recomended her to me when I wanted my sleeve finished. I am glad he did. Randi is a great artist. She takes pride in her art and will make sure what she tattoos on you will look great. She will take the time to talk about the design you want and how to make is a great tattoo. Both Randi, and the owner, Mike, are very friendly. Mike did not have an appt while I was getting work done by Randi and we sat there and talked for long time. Man, Mike has some great stories. I have been to both Mike and Dennis, and they are both amazing. All my Fiance's tattoos are from Mike as well. They are friendly, professional, wonderful artists and creators. You definitely see tons of effort and care in every piece they do. The last time I went in to see Mike he said "not for one second do I forget it is permanent" after looking over the stencil before starting with the needle. I will never go anywhere else! Honestly! I was referred to Michael from a friend and I am so glad I waited to get my tattoo here instead of the other jokers who were quoting me 3x the amount. Mike Bacon ROCKS! I told him what I was thinking...he said come back tomorrow and his drawing was spot on PERFECT! This guy is an ARTIST. I could'nt be happier with my Tattoo.
