I (and my friends) wanted matching 3D butterfly tattoos and he put something together that looked simply AMAZING. If you've ever had a tattoo before you know what it means when the guy inking you has a "light hand." As painless as can be expected (beauty is pain). Super friendly, funny and personable guy. He will schedule appointments over the phone (unlike a few other places in the area that make you physically come in, put down a $60 non-refundable deposit and they MIGHT be able to see you when you schedule it). This was my most positive tattoo experience to date. Our tats had some elaborate coloring/blending and he made our tats IDENTICAL. Mike is an expert at what he does! Okay first of all, the place is easy to find. Second of all, when you go to open the door you feel different I don't know why but that's what happened to me.. And when you go in you hear the music and let me tell you something about the music in places.. It's really important and it's almost 45% of feeling and it's really important to know what to pot in the business. So initially I was pretty happy with the work until about 3 weeks later when it started to heal up. The work was really splotchy. I went back for the touch up and asked bacon to fix a few things. I originally went to Rad-a-tat-tattoo for what I thought would be a simple cover up. The original tattoo was 2 hearts no bigger than 2x2. I was told I neededalmost a half sleeve to cover this small tattoo. Leaving dissatisfied I went and checked tattoo u without knowing anything about the place. Michael was opening the store as I pulled in and took the time to look at what I wanted and within the hour the tattoo was drawn up and finished. He also took the time to speak to my step-son regarding a tattoo idea that he has. I'm extremely grateful to have been turned away from the previous tattoo shop. From now on we will go to Michael. Got my first Tattoo yesterday here with Michael. Awesome guy, excellent work, took my sketch and he improved on it, added some details I hadn't pondered. The needle work was excellent, no blood, minimal pain, at one day it looks even better than I had hoped. I am a pretty big guy and have 21" arms, he knocked out an upper arm piece in about 3 hours, I had been told at other shops it would take at least 5 hours. I will be going back for the other arm when I can decide on all of the details for that tat. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some quality work, Tattoos are not an item that you price shop for!!!! If you're looking for a tattoo artist who really knows what he's doing, you need to see Mike! Myself, my Fiancé and my friend who was visiting from out of town wanted to all get tattooed together. We called him on short notice, and told him exactly what we wanted. He said that he would have us come in after an appointment he had, and take care of all of us. The appointment before us took him 6 hours! By the time we got there, it was 6:30PM and he got started right away. He's very friendly, plays awesome music, and has so much awesome stuff to look at. His shop closes at 8pm on Saturday's, and by the time he was done, it was almost 11pm. He's a trooper!!! He went out of his way just to make sure that we were being taken care of. That meant so much to us! He is very detailed, with every line, personally this is my second tattoo from him, and I couldn't be happier! My finances tattoo is awesome! Mike came up with the design for him, and it turned out amazing! My girlfriend got an image from a comic, and it looks like he peeled it off the page! We were so grateful that he stuck around well after closing to ensure we were happy. And trust me, we are thrilled! He is a very funny, nice and interesting person. It was nice to be able to just hang out in Mike's shop, while getting tattooed. He made us feel at home, made us really comfortable, and ensured that we got exactly what we were looking for! I wish I didn't have to write this follow-up. A few months ago I got some work done at the shop and I am happy with the work itself. The problem is that I used gift certificates and the owner was not pleased about that as he was expecting cash. When I presented the gift certificates as payment he informed me that that money was already spent and that he wished I would've told him ahead of time. It made me wonder if I would've received a different quality of work or even a slower process if I would've informed him that I had gift certificates to use. If you want a tattoo artist that is going to be professional with you, don't go here! My husband and I came in excited we saw the good reviews and thought he seems pretty good. He was polite in the beginning but he became more and more narcissistic about his tattooing and stopped listening to what I was asking. He got frustrated when I had something changed (make this smaller, more even, etc...) This shit is permeant I am allowed to be picky! Before we started he tattoo he poked me with a needle that didn't have ink "too see if I was squirmish" I was very offended by this because not a minute before he asked if I had another tattoos and where. One on my rib cage and one on my finger. I think if I have a rib cage tattoo I can perfectly handle a wrist tattoo! I was getting a very personal tattoo done (to commemorate the loss of our unborn child), the artist continually ridiculed my husband and I about our situation. He also said that our age and the fact that we got married at age 18 was the reason behind our loss. If he wasn't almost done with my tattoo when he said this we would have walked out. My tattoo was finished with blue and pink highlighting as I asked for more highlighting, he said, "you only said you wanted a little so that is what I did." My mouth almost dropped I am the client I want more highlighting give it to me! When he finished my tattoo he applied the plastic wrap and tape. The tape was on my arm hair and it hurt more to take that off than the damn tattoo. We went to pay (I had called on the phone earlier to ask about pricing and he didn't tell us he didn't except card.) I had to stay (because I had the tattoo) while my husband got money from the ATM (I am not a trusting person) I felt very uncomfortable being in a new place with a new person alone. Now that we are home I love my tattoo and what it means but I WILL be getting it touched up by the artist we usually go to because the lines are not clean and the numbers are not even. (The tattoo artist we usually go to and will be going to from now on is in San Tan Valley.) My advise you if find someone you like stick with him/her no matter how far the drive. read more

Mike was so patient and understanding with me. I went in for my first tattoo consultation and we talked for a long time about what I wanted. This meant a lot to me after my grandpa died and I wanted to get something to remember him by. Mike helped me with the design and I am constantly asked where I got my work done. I've had tattoos done here before but never by the owner who always came off as a prick to me. I went in recently to have him do some tattoos and he definitely proved me correct! He has no customer service skills, acts like you are wasting HIS time for even being there and he is so cocky about what he does that he doesn't take the time to work with you to make sure you're happy about what you're putting on your body FOREVER! I will never step foot in that place again and I will make sure everyone I know does the same and passes the word along. Horrible customer service travels fast. If you want a tattoo, go somewhere where they actually care about the customer! I went to Club tattoo, had 6 tattoos done and had the best experience ever. He's way too cocky. I'm glad we didn't do business with him, no way would I have trusted a man like him to tattoo anything on me ever and I highly recommend you do the same! I will definitely pass the word around. I have a rule, if someone in the customer service industry complains to the customer about how shitty their day was or how shitty they feel, how bogged down they are etc. ~ that is unprofessional.
