I got to try a bunch of beers from different breweries that I have heard of but never got the chance to try. Some of my favorites were: Steady Hand Beer Co - that Flower Business DOUBLE IPA though! Didn't taste like a strong double but nice and hoppy. I would have come back for more if I weren't so full of beer! Glad to hear they are opening up soon (if not already...) in Midtown! Orpheus - Sykophantes sour beer actually wasn't bad. I'm a little scared of Orpheus (since they're known for their sour beers) and sours in general, but I found it to e more subtle in the sweeter fig Sykophantes. Eventide - Red Headed Haley was a pretty smooth and easy drinking red ale. The cool can art was the best part of this beer, though. Crooked Stave - i didn't love this but their sour rosé was definitely very interesting - and tasted just like what you think a sour rosé would taste like. I was hoping to find some more interesting IPA's but they all tasted pretty standard. There were only a few food truck options, but the one I chose was great! Brookelynn's had a great hotdog cyclone that went great with my beer! Overall, I was pretty happy with the brewery turn out at the Duluth Beer and Wine Fest and excited to see them do another one next year!

I believe that this was the first of an annual event…read more You can find the Duluth Beer and Wine Festival in the Duluth Town Green at 3142 Hill Street Nw - Downtown Duluth is home to an outdoor amphitheater, Town Green with a fountain, Taylor Park, and City Hall - there's shopping (retail and restaurants) at the top of the hill. The event terraced from street level at the top of the hill to the amphitheater base and included about 50 vendors, mostly beer and a handful of wine distributors - the event was managed by the Atlanta Sport and Social Club. As with other events featuring beer, I volunteered as a first shift beer pourer for a local brewery, Good Word (who happened to be located in Downtown Duluth about a block from the venue). The event was moderately attended compared to others like the Atlanta Summer Beer Festival but I believe that was expected for a first year beer festival - I anticipate it to be quite crowded in subsequent years. Admission included half pours of the beer (small plastic cup) or quarter pours of wine - I didn't manage to make it to the wine vendors. The people pouring were all volunteers (some laws in Georgia prevent people from the breweries and distributors from pouring, but many were in attendance to answer questions and talk about their favorite subject). Afterwards I walked over to Good Word with Tiff H. and Michelle T and we shared a Cheese Board and a Brussels and Kale salad. The weather was clear and quite nice, if a bit hot (90's in October sucks). In all I think it was an awesome first festival and I hope to volunteer or at least attend next year.

The waffles were fluffy & extremely fantastic. The tray had granny smith sautéed apples & maple syrup I had 1/2 of my hubby's had Nashville chicken wrap the next day & it was awesome & heated up very well. The meal came out to 42 & change which considering how good the food was it was worth it. The atmosphere was very good you have to get in line to order then you get to sit at a table, there is full service waitress from then on. The service was great & we even had a waitress keep someone from taking our table! Highly recommend if you are in downtown Marietta.

The VIP tent was way too small for the number of tickets they clearly oversold--crowded, uncomfortable, and not even close to a premium experience. The layout made things worse. There was zero signage to distinguish beer lines from cocktail lines, even though they were literally right next to each other. So you stand in line, wait forever, finally get to the front...only to be told you're in the wrong line and have to go all the way to the back of the other one. Completely avoidable. Then when the food opened, the food line was placed right next to the drink lines, creating one massive, confusing bottleneck. It turned into a crowded mess with no flow at all. Vendor tents were sparse, which just added to the feeling that this event was underwhelming overall. First time attending--and definitely the last....at least from a "VIP" perspective. Save your money and get the GA tickets...you'll have the same experience.

However, there were plenty of food trucks available with food and drink. The number of vendors was more than I expected for this little festival, but the amount can be improved upon. I am sure it will in future years. I saw a number of things that I have seen at other festivals earlier in the year, but I also saw some things for the first time. There was also live music and activities for kids. Historic Fourth Ward is a great venue for a festival- the park is lovely and you can take a walk on the BeltLine when you're done. The event goes on rain or shine.

The atmosphere and décor immediately stand out the entire place is filled with guitars and music memorabilia that reflect the owner's personal love for music. It gives the restaurant a really unique and authentic vibe that you don't see everywhere. What made it even more special was hearing the story behind the location. We had the pleasure of meeting April, who shared the history of Rock N Taco with us. She explained how the owner used to bike through that part of town as a kid, and when the space later became available, he chose it for the second location. Knowing that story makes the place feel even more meaningful you can tell it was built with heart and passion. The service was exceptional. Our server, Savanna, was wonderful friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. In fact, every staff member we encountered made us feel invited and appreciated the moment we stepped inside. The food absolutely delivered as well. I ordered the taco salad and my husband ordered tacos, and we both loved our meals. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and perfectly prepared. What stood out most, though, was how kind and accommodating the staff were to our family. We were traveling with both an infant and a toddler, and they made sure we were comfortable and taken care of the entire time. They even surprised us with a special treat on the house before we left, which was such a thoughtful touch. It's easy to see that while the food is fantastic, Rock N Taco understands that people go out for the full experience atmosphere, hospitality, and feeling welcomed and they absolutely nailed it. If you're in Roswell, do not skip Rock N Taco. It's not just a late-night spot; it's also the perfect place to stop during the day for a great meal or while passing through on a road trip. We came in for a children's show on Saturday afternoon. We've been tracking for a couple weeks…read moretrying to decide which weekend to make the drive out for a show; it's about an hour from our home. The Saturday showtimes seem to be 10am and 1:30pm. We were aiming for a puppet show last weekend but landed on a science show this weekend and I'm so glad we did! We got to see "Noreen the Science Queen" and engage in a live show with her. Not only was she amazing, but it was so wonderful to expose our girls to a woman in STEM and, more special for them, a Black woman in STEM. After the show, Noreen the Science Queen greeted the attendees in the lobby. She was open for pictures, and was selling both science kits for at home experiments and copies of her book. She is also available for birthday parties!! Now about the Cultural Arts Center, they currently have two exhibits: (1) there is an art show in the lobby in honor of Juneteenth and visitors get to vote on their favorite three (2) there is an exhibit of toys and games from the 1800s on the second floor. We didn't go up to check it out.

They have plenty of seats that recline, the bathroom are spotless, they have lots of food options and the staff is great! The movie theater was not crowded so you have lots of options for seating. If you want to support a Georgia business, this is your place instead of a chain. I sure will be bacm!

Wifey and I went to the Dancing Goat to see one of her friends perform in "Almost, Maine"...a play…read morethat consisted of about a dozen vignettes on all aspects of "love." The play was quite well done and we enjoyed it immensely. Obviously, some of the vignettes were preferred over others, but all were done in the great spirit of Community Theater...and made for a very enjoyable Saturday evening "date night." The Theatre itself is a small, community one...and perfect for this type of play where the focus is definitely on the actors themselves and the interactions...bigger, broader ones may not fit in this relatively small place. I highly recommend...we will go back...wifey got the brochure of upcoming events...looking forward to a couple of them.
