Instead, they used our money to pay off other people. Bill Sage and his son have ruined us. We have been paying for the mortgage and cannot move into our home. We are lucky that evictions have been on hold or else we would be homeless because of their incompetence and ignorance. Definitely not a contractor I would hire to do any job.

Sage was hired to tile and paint my Mom's bathroom / shower. Bill Sage comes across very nicely but…read morehis work quality does not come close to his friendliness. Several thing were done poorly: - Sage never put a drop cloth down and left paint specs all over the toilet and sink - never painted the back of the bathroom door. Painted the trim but NOT the door. - didn't not tape the tile and got paint all over the newly laid tile - hung a new towel rack which began to fall off the wall within days - never sanded or spackled the rough spots on the door or walls...just painted over everything. Sage said, "they don't sand when they paint" - changed the shower fixtures but is NOT a licensed plumber. His work was NOT up to code. Had to hire a plumber to correct his mistakes. - Sage put a piece of glass pencil molding in off-center in the shower. He was told to leave it alone but Sage decided to remove the misplaced molding. Sage broke the molding and didn't have a back-up piece of molding. I had to order a new piece of glass molding that didn't match the original pieces color.I hired a tile professional to correct the shower tiling mistakes. -there are several other problems but the above are the major ones. In Sage's defense people said he did good work at their homes but maybe his days of quality craftsmanship have passed.

I placed the request through Yelp and got a response right away. Juan scheduled the initial visit promptly and we received the proposal quickly. The bid was within the range we expected and they proposed replacing our gutters which was something we hadn't requested. The gutters were the item that tipped us to choosing this group. We were delighted with the speed with which the job was scheduled. The weather caused a slight delay but they finished quickly and left no mess behind! I liked that we were kept informed on the progress; we regularly received photos and communications especially when sections of the roof were found to be in rough shape. Very pleased with the roof and front porch. Highly recommend

His attention to detail stood out from the start, he inspected each window carefully before touching anything, checking the hinges, arms, and tracks to understand exactly what was causing the problem. Diagnosing the issue took some time since the problems weren't straightforward, but rather than rushing or guessing, he worked through it methodically until he had a clear picture of what needed fixing. Once he had that, he fixed both windows correctly and made sure they opened and closed smoothly before moving on. I also pointed out three other windows with issues, and Rob fixed all of them while he was there, which made the visit even more worthwhile. He walked us through some helpful information about insulation around the window frames and pointed out a couple of other minor issues worth keeping an eye on down the road. He answered all my questions, even the pretty basic ones, and never once made me feel dumb for asking. The price he charged for all the work was totally reasonable. Rob was professional and friendly the entire time, easy to talk to, and clearly someone who takes pride in doing the job right rather than just getting through it. If we decide to redo our windows in the future, Rob is who we'll call without hesitation. I definitely recommend him, especially since he's an independent local contractor rather than a big impersonal company. Highly recommend him for anyone on Staten Island dealing with windows.

We had a budget, and he helped us keep to it, but he really went above and beyond that. Other vendors told us there was no way to keep the 130 year window moldings, but Turab not only helped us keep them, but had so many neat tricks to improve our restoration project. Other vendors just gave us offers against our project scope, but Turab explained to us the dynamics of different windows in different parts of the house and what types worked best and saved us money. He made custom moldings for our cellar windows. He also helped us out to stop a fly tipping incident one day when we were out and not able to deal with it ourselves. And when it was pouring with rain and our basement flooded, he went outside and took a really long and hard look and told us what the problem was. We got it fixed the same weekend and never had issues since.

STOLE OVER 600 DOLLARS FROM ME!!! They will lie to get more money out of you that wasn't agreed…read moreupon. They never completed the work because they were constantly asking for more money last minute. They will tell you they understand and everything is good and act like they are doing you a favor and then brush you off when you try and make everything 100% clear, telling you "yeah no problem, we got it its all understood" just to then come back asking for more money and claim they don't remember the conversation you had. Pete SR and Pete JR met with us before we signed the contract with our original plans, and then THEY RECOMMENDED that we have the architect make our new driveway entrance 2 cars wide instead of 1. We didn't sign the contract that day, we told the architect to make the change and then signed the contract 2 weeks later, with them knowing about the amendment in progress. They had the amended plans in their hands a week after signing the contract and never brought up anything about the curb cut width they had recommended being an issue. Instead, after 7 months of constantly having to call and text to chase for time frames of the job (after they said it would be a 3-4 month job) Pete JR is unresponsive for weeks before finally answering and claiming I am trying to "slip one by them" by having them do work they never agreed to because the contract was never updated to include the amendment for the 24ft wide driveway. Claiming he doesn't recall the conversation despite being in person at the property with us and measuring it together. And despite me having a SIGNED curb cut permit from them where Pete JR wrote himself the width of the curb cut as 24 feet, but then claims we only agreed on 11 feet wide because that's what the contract says. Then they asked for an extra $9,000 for doubling the curb cut width, after already having been paid an extra $3,400 previously due to their own confusion about the plans from an architect whom THEY RECOMMENDED TO US and told us they used many times. Every time they wanted more money, they threatened us. The first confusion about the plans they said "could be interpreted either way, but either you pay or we won't do it". This situation was also clarified prior in person multiple times, but of course once they wanted more money, they didn't recall that either. And then about the driveway Pete JR said "well the contract says 11 ft curb cut so either you pay extra or the work won't get done, good luck finding someone else to do it" after 7 months of telling us they know the curb cut should be 24 feet wide. Which is funny because they installed an extra flood vent that wasn't on the plans OR the contract, and we DID NOT ask them to do, and then charged an extra 300 dollars for. Clearly their contract only works one way. They owe me 600 dollars that I gave them to purchase materials for the driveway which they never bought or used, told me they will send me the money back, and now are unresponsive for 5 months. They also left a pile of concrete in my backyard, didn't backfill a whole side of the house, and broke the water meter cap and didn't fix it. $600 + $300 for the extra flood vent + concrete left over I had to pay to remove + never completing the backfilling. Over $1000 dollars stolen. Avoid them completely.

We received a few quotes from contractors and that is when we met the father son duo from Logan Construction. They were incredibly kind and empathetic to our situation. From moment one we knew these were the people we wanted fixing our house. We were not knowledgeable at all when it came to fixing a house and we asked ALOT of questions and at all different levels of stress and each and every question was answered quickly and in simple understandable language. When we changed plans on them with different ideas we saw on home shows, they simply advised us of the work, quoted us a price for the change in work and got down to business. Once they got to work they did not stop until the work was done. Their prices were incredibly fair and the quality was excellent. Being out of the house for almost three years, we could not wait to have our "tv reveal" when it was completely done. However, the transformation from the house being almost destroyed to what they turned it in to was incredible. The people who own this company and the people who work for them is what should make you want them working on your project.
