Lucas answered while on an existing job. He was very honest saying he can't drop by to make an assessment. Knowing the importance of the situation, he said he'll have his father drop by to take a look. The father (was it Joe?) came by as promised and saw that the previous roofer didn't put flashing around a portion of the chimney. He gave a couple of possible fixes and I picked the more expensive one. He gave me a break on price if i went with the more expensive fix which i appreciated. Before showing up for the work due to budgeting issues i changed to the lower price solution. He didn't have any problems with this change. He and his other son (not Lucas) came on the day as promised. The funny thing was I didn't know they were there until i heard banging outside! They ripped some of the old roof tiles, installed new flashing and overlay them with some leftover tiles I had laying around. They also caulked around other parts of the chimney. They cleaned up their mess. There were aome storms afterwards and no leak! Thx to Lucas for knowing the importance of the problem and having your father and brother fit me into their schedule. And thx to father and son (was it Joe and Ezekiel?!) for fixing the leak! I would definitely consider them to put in a new roof when the time comes!

He does something I don't see anywhere, certainly not with a contractor: he owns the work. He follows up, he makes sure everything is in order, he even comes out to check on things multiple times through the process. This isn't typical service. This is what all other companies should be aspiring towards. He recognizes that, as a homeowner, the most valuable thing we own is our home and he wants us to be satisfied with the work. Believe me, I am. As if that's not enough, there's Clint's man on the ground: Robert. Here again, to say Robert does a good job is unfair - he's exceptional. Courteous, helpful, also willing to own the work, but the most importantly when dealing with contractors: he makes sure the job is done right. At one point, I asked if they were close to finishing. Robert pointed out that he'd finish if I wanted him to, but he'd rather do the job right. Considering how much work I was having done, I realized there was no better answer. In the end, the only thing that slowed them down was the weather. As a homeowner, it's not always easy to know if you're getting a quality company when you have to find someone online. Let me save you effort: you want Clint and Blue Apex. The only trepidation I have about posting this is that they get so many customers that when I need them next, they won't be able to fit me in. He found the leak, which was a nail that was lifted. He sealed it for a nominal fee and was on his way. The roof has not leaked since. We had mentioned to Al we thought it was a bigger job of having to replace the flashing. I am happy Al was honest and fixed what the problem actually was and did not try to sell us another service.
