We had our pool installed in dec of 19. I left a great review of Backyard amenities because they were very quick. good customer service, and a reasonable price. Well, it has been 3 years now and i have a few more observations and opinions. I have had a few parts fail on the pump system and B A has been good to help me get with Pentair to get warranty work done. No issues there at all. However, where I am developing big issues is the tile work around the pool. Within 6 months of having the pool, we starting having the small 1" tiles pop loose. Initially it was only one or two so I used a waterproof adhesive and reattached them. In the last year we keep a bag for all of the tiles that have fallen off and I use a whole tube of adhesive to reattach them I reached out to BA and was told "they were surprised it wasn't more tile failures because of the temperature changes around here". This is my third house and third pool since I moved to Houston. I had NO other problems with my previous pools. Also we had a fire pit installed, the tiles and and top stones are popping loose and cracking all over. In 3 years it is in terrible condition. This time they informed me that i had made "too big of a fire in the pit". They built it and I didn't make a bonfire. Very unhappy with that response. I am still pleased with my pool but how ever they are doing their tile work is disappointing and unacceptable. If I knew then what I knew now, I may have used a different contractor. At this point my pool and fire pit look terrible and after 3 years I will have to probably have to hire someone to repair all of the failed tiles, because I have been told my warranty is up. Called to get an appointment for a bid for a new pool. I was told only the owner goes out to do bids, and he was booked for two to three weeks at least. Even after I said I was collecting bids within the next few days, there was no way to work us in. They must not need the work. read more
