We were…read morethere right at open during the farmers market and there was an initial rush that died down after 15 or so minutes. The bartender was extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgable about the products; answering some questions I had about proofing. It's in a great spot downtown right next to the farmers market with plenty of street parking. There are a few sidewalk tables but a nice open space inside. The inside doesn't allow dogs, however, due to their kitchen. Speaking of... The pizza was pretty good! I feel the most important part of any pizza is the crust and that was the best bit of theirs. The fresh ground flour adds a ton of flavor and they got a decent char on the bottom and rim. The prices weren't terrible and 1 pizza with some booze fed both of us. My only gripe is that they go heavy on the cheese so the (excellent) crust can't hold up to the weight and wetness. That's made a bit worse by they fact that they use a high-moisture mozzarella so there's a lot of grease that can soup the whole deal up. All in all they make fantastic spirits, service is great, and now have good pizza at a decent price. I think this may be my go to spot for meeting friends when I'm in Northfield.

These are not mixed drinks. These are truly crafted cocktails. We have an excellent selection of liquors. Beers on tap. Wine. The acoustics are terrible. Could definitely use some sound absorbing tiles on the ceiling. It's right next to the amphitheater at River Prairie Park. Parking can be tight when there's a concert. It's also a little spender than your average place in the area. I think it's worth it for the experience and unique cocktails.

Most of the bottles are available for retail purchase and available at the restaurant. This could be your everyday spot, or just for a special occasion - but highly recommended.

It was easy to get a reservation and on the day, we were greeted and seated promptly! The service was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. For starters, we had the lobster bisque and steak tartare. I will admit I was a little apprehensive when ordering the bisque but I'm glad I did! It did everything I needed it to. It was perfectly creamy and tasty, as well as comforting! The tartare was pretty good but we weren't fans of the EXTREMELY crisp "bread" pairing. The main dish was the Seafood Perlou which was almost perfect (the mussels felt off). The cocktails were quite good as well! There were some curious pairings and mixtures on there but they worked very well! Overall, this was a good experience. It seems like a good place for a first date, or a business dinner, or even a more casual outing with friends! It was good without trying too hard, if that makes sense.

There's really no redeeming value to be associated with this place other than it being a cool place to have a beer during the hot summer months. And downright freezing during the winter! Me finding myself tethered to John (a local gadabout) who drags me to a seemingly endless line of beverage intakes of an alcohol nature, and I not being use to the effects of cold and ice. The ice in the parking lot can be treacherous, and the inside is like aging beef in cold storage! Ahhh but that only adds to its charm. Tie that in with the warm hearts sharing the bar and it makes for a memorable experience. But not one that I would frequent on a daily basis. I heard stories about there being caves associated with Nova. Who knows, maybe someday John will get me an invite to explore and I'll come across Injun' Joe just like Tom Sawyer. My luck though it'll be a rabid bat I find. A memory ever associated with the bowels of the dive which is Nova. Honestly speaking, I had fun at Nova, cold and all. We would have stayed longer but alas, a dinner engagement loomed which would provide us the opportunity to indulge once more, and more importantly, thaw out! Quick Tip: After you've had your fill at Nova you can walk down to the corner for ice cream at the Dairy Queen. You'll find that novelty warmer than what you had to endure at Hudsons finest dive.

The wait staff are all super fun and friendly and love making drinks and bantering with patrons. They have great knowledge of all the spirits made in house as well as the cocktails. Ready with recs! I have yet to try the spirits on their own but I can say the cocktails are delicious. My personal favorite being the martini. The space is small but ample. We went shortly after they opened at 4 so it was pretty chill, not very busy. I remember this space from when it was Mountain Mudd when I was in high school. It's a smaller space but they do a bit of a patio when it gets nicer outside. Very simple decor inside. They have a few board games as well to play while you sip. We ended up sitting at the bar. We ordered 4 different drinks & a shot (total between 2 of us). Blue meanie - my fav of the 4 we tried. Sweet and a little sour. Watermelon Sugar - also good, refreshing tasted like watermelon candy Groovy Cherry - tasted just like a cherry limeade drink. I personally don't like cherry limeade but it was good. Georgia Peach - a little stronger but still good and peachy. Watermelon jolly rancher shot - good tasted just like the candy. Overall the drinks were simple but good. The staff were super nice and chill. The crowd was a bit older but overall a nice lounge.
