I went to the intro session with a fairly closed mind, but Coach Corey made some really good points and I really respected his passion for the athletes he coaches. A few months in I cannot believe the results. I'm in better shape now (after two kids) than I was training 12+ hrs a week for triathlons. And I only go 3-4 times a week. Aside from the physical benefits, I really enjoy the small community at this gym. Everyone is so friendly and starting at all different fitness levels. While the group mentality is motivating, it's never judgmental or competitive in a negative way. Everyone starts where they start and ends up in great shape! If you've ever thought about crossfit I'd definitely recommend coming in for a free intro session or to a trial class.

I would highly recommend Crossfit Empower to anyone. As a person in their 40s, that still likes to push the limits as if he were in his 20's, Corey's guidance has been instrumental in not only my not getting injured at Crossfit, but also my being in the best shape of my life.

Definitely money well spent!

Here is what my trainees and clients say: "Since I started working out with you I have found more energy, have better flexibility, lost weight and also toned my stomach muscles. I find myself sleeping better (snoring has eased somewhat according to my wife), eating more sensibly (and less often) and willing to make the extra effort when little physical challenges arise. As a gym, this place is fine, and if you want to deal with a business that is stuck in the dark…read moreages, by all means, join this gym. Be warned though, their contracts are designed to take as much as they can from you and the management is slow to respond and not helpful. I've had and heard many horror stories from this gym. Most recently, my wife has made several attempts to settle a situation with them which is one that should be resolved within minutes, not weeks. Her brother was a member while he was staying in town and cancelled his membership before he left town. They told him he would have to pay the remaining dues on his contract. Fine, so they gave him an account action form and he paid the remaining dues. However, recently they began charging his credit card again. It turns out, they gave him a form to pay dues until the end of his contract term, but they did not actually cancel the membership. Now, they are hiding behind a technicality that there was no cancellation form signed. (Because a customer would be familiar with the paperwork that this business works with, right?). So they say that they require an additional 30 days notice to cancel so that they can charge an extra month on top of the two months that they already charged. Is it easy to fix? Yes, cancel the membership and return the unauthorized charges. How long does that take? About fifteen minutes. Get with the times Gold's Gym...

I went tonight to try the gym for the first time. The poster on the street advertised " free…read moresession" as a trial. When I enquired at the desk the staff quoted me $21 drop in fee. I was with my teenage son so it was going to cost $42.... She said it was because it was busy, which I saw one person on the cardio equipment through the window. I feel like I didn't fit their standard for a desirable customer. Not sure what other reason they would have to turn me away. Don't believe the advertising. It is based on the staff's bias of you,
