Steve M.

Really disappointed, I was so excited to visit this place; hopeful to finally find a place that could help the aches, pains & flexibility, all in one location! I was sorely disappointed! The 1st strike: met a sales rep at the Desert Ridge Dog expo, he had all the handouts & was pleasant. He was there representing the Desert Ridge location (important note, because they have multiple locations), the first question I asked (really only treatment I wanted) was "do you have a roller bed"? He replied "YES"! Which turned out to be a lie.. Different services are offered at different locations.. Before I knew it was a lie, I got excited to visit, so the following Monday I went in for a visit (super excited). The front desk receptionists are all very pleasant, Samantha was my consultant, well spoken, friendly & listened attentively. Of course, I asked "you have a roller bed"? Samantha replied "No, but other locations do". Being very let down, I told her I was lied too, but interested to move on.. 2nd strike: the Doctor... Very professional, but on the 2nd visit, after taking x-rays & the consult on the 1st visit, we were going to discuss the results. They display your x-ray on a large tv & go through each detail, leaving room for any questions, so far so good... right? Well.... the only real issues I had with this appointment, was they had mentioned "we'll go over financing at the end" I am not going in for surgery, or buying the place! The doctor spoke in a salesman rhythm, constantly searching for how to pitch the services tine & time again, with a pause "um", "uuummmm" peppered throughout the discussion. If you've every say through a timeshare pitch or bought a car, you know.. He even had the 4 squares of "treatment" (implied costs) written down on paper in front of me! Then enter the "closer"! Young lady (22, maybe) "let's go over the financing for your treatment plan!!! That was the end! THREE STRIKES!! YOU'RE OUT! SUPER DISAPPOINTED, I REALLY WANTED TO BECOME A PATIENT!

I'm so thankful to have found Dr. Ronald Vigneau at BackFit Health + Spine. The complicated medical history following me as a patient didn't deter him from taking me on & into his care. He has been gentle with me & was empathetic while delicately presenting me with the most recent imaging results and the changes that have happened in my spine. He helped me understand what is going on with my body, acknowledged and explained the pain I experience & shared the different ways he can help me maintain mobility & function while navigating through life with a progressive condition. I feel much more safe now, knowing I've got him in my corner to help me & my family understand. Dr. Vigneau is an answer to many prayers & I highly recommend him BackFit Health + Spine has SO much to offer their patients. Go check them out! I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

Put through the rigmarole of scheduling an appointment only to be told someone from the clinic will reach out and they never do.

Lawsuit Update: Per…read morethe Judges findings: "We acknowledge that" plaintiff's "allegations describe a troubling scheme whereby Waychoff defrauded "plaintiff's "insurer. But the insurer is not a party, and" plaintiff "failed to sufficiently allege that she suffered personal harm as a result of the claimed fraud." From what I understand, I could not be a victim of fraud because personal injury doesn't fall under fraud damages and I only paid for co-pays. I was informed my insurance company would be the victim of the fraud. Facts: In the lawsuit, Pierce Waychoff stated he never treated me. He proved care to me at every appt except 1. Waychoff provided massage therapy, chiropractic adjustments, took my blood pressure, took my x-rays, provided me with a neck brace, back brace and TENS unit. Pierce Waychoff talked to me about almost every treatment I received. My medical records were forged in multiple ways. I was signed up for a 5-year prescription for multiple pain creams. Apparently, I was never expected to be out of pain. PIerce Waychoff told me I needed to take a "mandatory" drug test before I could be prescribed pain medication. I advised I was already on pain medication from the ER. Waychoff told me it was state law. This is false. The drug test was $10k and my insurance would not cover it. This conversation was recorded, which is not a crime as I was a party to the conversation. AZ is a 1-party consent state in regards to recording others. I was repeatedly lied to. I was told I was going to get a blood test. I asked for what. He stated it was a general blood test to check my liver, thyroid etc. In reality it was a very expensive DNA test my insurance would not cover. I was told I needed a nerve conduction test. I had it on the effected arm but he insisted I do both arms. I did both. He then insisted I do both legs and I refused. I was given an expensive allergy test despite being there for shoulder pain. I was misdiagnosed with a neck issue when in fact I had a slipped rib. Pierce Waychoff personally gave me a massage and jammed his thumb into the bend of my elbow and was popping something around while I writhed in pain. I later had to receive treatment by AZ Spine Disc and Sport to treat the damage he caused. Any medical professional who heard what he did was appalled and said they couldn't think of a valid medical reason for what he did as that area of the arm/elbow is known to be a hazard/no touch zone. I left Pain Stop North Phoenix because I was repeatedly lied to, misdiagnosed, given unnecessary medical treatments and injured. I was in pain for 6 weeks. I left Pain Stop North Phoenix and went to AZ Spine Disc and Sport and was properly diagnosed immediately...within a few minutes of seeing the doctor. AZ Spine Disc and Sport got me out of pain within the week. Since I left Pain Stop North Phoenix I have been contacted by approximately a dozen patients stating they had similar experiences and I am aware of other lawsuits. My attorney was Paul D. Friedman. Complaints can be filed with the AZ Attorney Generals Office, FBI (they handle medical insurance fraud cases) and AZ Chiropractic Board. https://chiroboard.az.gov/complaints

Be wary of this doctor and his wife. I was a previous patient at his former practice near Greenway…read moreand 32nd St. I don't recall the name but it was not Pain Stop. Apparently he changed the name of the practice and relocated it. The insurance billing was shady (Pierce asked me, "How much can you pay?") There's something fishy about this couple...and it stinks. Keep records. Record conversations. Do what you need to do to make sure their practice is being honest.

I do not ever take pain medication, other than Tylenol, and was not looking to have surgery (maybe…read morerepeat injections or ablation). I have had chronic pain in my neck and right shoulder for 35+years from arthritis complicated scoliosis, hypermobility, degenerative disc disease, osteoporosis, and slightly bulging discs. I saw her 3 times and vowed not to go back. I explained what I have been dealing with and for how long. She told me "that doesn't make sense" (I have several hot spots in my neck and shoulder that radiate), "that pain has nothing to do with your neck" (referred pain), and "you told me last time it was the other fingers" ( the pain is episodic and affects different areas depending on my activity). I stopped trying to explain at this point. She had not looked at my MRI before the appointment. When I went in the second time, she went through a list of spinal problems she saw in the MRI after a brief look. She told me there was nothing that should be causing my pain. She sent me to physical therapy, and I voluntarily went through 2 rounds. I have been to physical therapy many, many times over the years. It has been a wonderful tool, but it works temporarily. I have pain flares even while getting this therapy. I had a nerve ablation in three vertebrae several years ago, along with needling. This lasted me almost 15 years. At the final visit, I told her it had helped. She quickly discharged me (I already knew I would not continue with her). I thought I had done something wrong...Then I looked at her reviews. HonorHealth, as a healthcare system, has been a positive experience. The desk staff is friendly, as was the medical assistant. Hopefully, she treats her coworkers better than she treats her patients.

She reviewed nothing prior to my visit and had no idea she spoke with me last month about my MRI. I told her I slipped and drank for seven days and got help and she took away my pain med (nothing big.) Between an MRI w pacemaker I have spent six hours working on these appts, all for nothing. She has no hippocratic oath. Awful.
