Last weekend I went and checked out Locally owned Plush Lounge Weekly Sunday Brunch Event. First…read morething I noticed when walking in was how sanitary things smelled. I also noted the seating arrangements followed State mandated covid regulations, which is excellent for a locally owned small business. We were greeted immediately by a host and taken to a corner table/Booth. I appreciated the natural lighting being the main source of lighting which israre for Lounge environments. With pressed table black cloths and individual table lighting I commend the owner for successfully transforming the scenery from a night club bar situation, to a full sit down dining experience that was also family friendly. Staffed with friendly servers, meal ordering and delivery was prompt. My personal favorite part was enjoying a hearty meal with a perfectly blended mimosa!!! I will say I do not know the music schedule as sometimes when I come there is no live music. The wait for this place can get insanely long and it is justified why it gets so long. Come here, put your name in and have a plan for the wait. I would recommend coming early. They do have a very small waiting room where you can order drinks, but a table being open is extremely unreliable. I feel Murrys is a staple of Columbia that everyone should try once.

This was our second visit with the first being just ok. Today we came for brunch after church and if they were trying to create an awful experience from the time we sat until our food arrived I'd give them five stars. After waiting 50 minutes with no updates on our food we inquired about our order and our candied bacon came out. It was the highlight of the meal as I assume they had been chasing it down out back and butchered it on the spot which is why it took so long! 15 minutes later our meals arrived and the best way to describe them was how the lady sitting next to us "trash". I don't know her but she nailed it. I felt awful for our server as most of this was out of her control. She was kind and reduced our check by 50% which I appreciated. - This will be our last visit.
