Mutant brewery is a local casual pubesque bar in the heart of downtown. I've been here pretty often…read morew friends. Tons of events and trivia in their schedule for folks looking for a night out on weekdays or weekends. The interior is mildly psychedelic with music. The food was fine. We got the burger and nachos. I was between giving 3 and 4 stars. Service was slow but the venue was busy, there was an event, and the night crew was picking up when we were there. The buffalo chicken nachos were fine. We appreciated the crispiness of the tortilla chips and the excellent cheese sauce that was well-distributed on the chips. There was tomato among other veggies that I do not remember. The chicken was fine for me on a cut. However, it had the texture of boiled chicken which I wasn't a huge fan of. Still had to get my protein in. I really enjoyed the burger. The bun was a soft potato roll. The patty was a little cooler. Between a cold burger and soggy nachos I certainly would choose the cool burger. This was made up for with the large volume of burger that was deliciously crispy. The pickles accompanied the burger with a secret mayo-based burger sauce. If warm, it could be a 5/5 burger. Overall, the experience was fine. I would go here on a week day rather than 6 on Friday, though.

I didn't get anything to drink here, but I did get the deep dish pizza that was more of a Mexican…read morestyle. I would say that this is probably the best deep dish pizza that I've tried in a while and I used to live in the Midwest. The crust was super crunchy and very buttery, which is great. You could definitely taste a jar of the cheese on the side and the crispiness of the bottom of the crust not only that, but I felt like the toppings were just amount of flavor. There was onions on there. There was corn on there. It just felt very very hearty. it's definitely heavy dish but it hits a spot if you're looking for a deep dish pizza they did it very well. I would definitely come back for this steep dish pizza and honestly, I could only get through two slices on my own definitely enough for two people to eat comfortably and not that expensive too was 13 bucks

What do I know about beer? Not much. What do I know about…read morewine? Even less. Either way, this seemed like it would be a nice random stop in the Tunkhannock area and thankfully, it was. The below lists what they offer and when they offer it. www.nimblehillbrewing.com/come-visit-us.html Overall it's very straight forward. When you walk in, they have their offerings for sale in a grab and go format or they have sitting rooms & a small bar like environment where you can taste/sample and hang out. We rumbled in about an hour before closing on a weekday and chose to sit at the bar. The staff we encountered were all fantastic and they gave some nice guidance as to what to expect with certain flavors depending on what we chose. Speaking of choice, they give you sheets if you're going down the tasting route that explains what you're getting yourself into (dry, sweet, dessert, etc.) and if there is any upcharge past that standard 5 for $12 charge. Some of the stuff was definitely not my speed (i.e. I'm not a dry guy) but some of it was nice and we bought a few bottles to take with us. They do offer some pretzels, crackers and cheese for pairings for a small additional charge. Nimble Hill was fun diversion. It was a very enjoyable experience and a member of staff gave us a fantastic dinner recommendation for The Beaumont Inn which also turned out to be fantastic just as she said it would be.

So I am updating this review not based on the beer or the wine. They're still fantastic however…read morethey've closed the gorgeous sitting room to parties of 6 or more. I'm very disappointed to say the least as this was our favorite spot to just sit and relax with our tasting. While I will still buy the beer I won't make a special trip to come sit at a high top table with chairs with no backs. Unfortunate they have forgotten about the customer so soon.
