Came here a few months ago and I was in so much lower back pain I couldn't walk. Dr. Betty is amazing. And this entire facility is full on girl power. I won't go anywhere else in Los Angeles for my chiropractic and massage needs! Back Benders saved me and I can't recommend it enough! read more

I really like Dr. Sean and believe he is a good Chiropractor. He is friendly and his adjustments often do the trick. On the flip side, he tends to lag a bit behind on appointments so do not be surprised if there is a wait. As far as his massage therapists go: I am VERY picky about what makes a GREAT masseuse/masseur and, if you are like me, would not recommend them. I have tried both and was not impressed. Jacob is a sweet guy--the sweetest! Unfortunately, his well defined muscles seem to disappear on the massage table and I am left me wanting more. Elise: same thing; not one of the best massages. read more

I have tried multiple chiropractors in LA and dr Betty is great. She spends 15-45min adjusting me with multiple treatments depending on what I need that day. She takes insurance or she allows you to buy a plan of upfront adjustments and them submit to insurance yourself. It's super affordable and amazing. They also have two great massage therapists on staff that are both wonderful and also affordable. ! I highly recommend this place :) read more

Great people & even better service! I got the deep tissue massage from Dina and felt like a whole new person afterwards. I feel like everyone needs this but especially anyone in fitness. Where do I start? Let me first say that I LOVE Backbenders. I came to this office in crises with pain in my shoulder like I had never known possible. The team of Dr. Betty and Lulu took great care of me and I felt relief from my very first visit onward. Aside from the treatments, Dr. Betty took time to educate me and she helped me to understand what was happening; which I appreciated more than I can say! My treatment is ongoing and I look forward to each visit. I have been given exercises to do that can cause discomfort, but I know once I get there, I will leave feeling better. And the range of motion that I have gotten back in my shoulder makes it so that I will go through the pain that comes from doing the exercises, but I really can't wait to see Dr. Betty and/or Lulu because they both have brought me so much relief. My orthopedic surgeon scheduled an appointment with me to talk about surgical options, but when I got there and he saw the level of progress I had achieved in such a short period of time, he decided that surgery may not be necessary after all. I attribute that to the combination of Dr. Betty and Lulu. I can't speak highly enough of Backbenders. read more

So happy I found Dr. Betty! I love the location and the all female staff. She knows her stuff and really takes time with you, using stems and amazing acupressure, before she adjusts you. Highly recommend! A wonderful energy and comparably priced to other chiropractors in the area. Can't wait to try a massage there. read more

They fixed me!! I had a dislocated rib problem for about a week. It just kept falling out. Every morning I would wake up with the rib out of socket and would be in pain all day on and off as it go in and back out again over and over again. Terrible! One trip to Back Benders and Dr.Betty... FIXED! Thank you Dr.Betty!! read more

So I woke up in the worst, unbearable pain. Looked up chiropractors from my insurance and found back benders ! Made an appointment and I was the happiest camper. After the first visit I felt a difference. My recovery took 3 sessions, but it was the best experience I had! Dr Betty was great, asked great questions for the diagnosis. I found my go to chiropractor. Hopefully I won't need it anymore! read more

I was scared to go to the chiropractor for the first time, but Dr. Betty took that fear away! She was great and talked me through it. I already made an appointment to come back. Friendly staff, they make you feel at home. I feel much better too!!. read more

I started going to Back Benders because of a shoulder injury. Dr. Betty set me up with the perfect plan to assist in recovery and make my shoulder stronger for the long term. I've had excellent care and the services are well rounded and focused specifically to assist each individual. I've gone to other chiro/wellness centers, and it feels like patients are going through on an assembly line. The whole team is lovely, Mary Frances is excellent at massages and the pilates crew is very kind! read more

I went to Back Benders for massage therapy and was pleasantly surprised. Dena gave me a very good massage, even better than Burke Williams! I will definitely come back here again. The staff is very courteous and the facilities are very clean. read more

This place gets an extra star for being able to book an appointment online. I ended up here -- desperate and in pain -- after not being able to reach anyone for over a week at my regular chiro's office. Dr. Betty delivered. Between her treatments and a couple of massages by Dena, I am doing much better. Plus there is always parking, it's easy to find, they always answer the phone during business hours, and did I mention they have online booking?? Not going back to the other one. read more

I've been going crazy for the last 13 days. I've had a migraine that just would not go away. I would go to sleep and wake up with it. I tried medication, caffeine, oils, home remedies.. basically anything I googled... then yesterday my sister made an appt for me with Dr Betty, my chiropractor. I woke up this morning migraine free. Praise the Lord. Thank you Dr. Betty. read more

Dr. B is caring and very thorough, Kim is thee best pilates instructor, and Dena is an excellent massage therapist when my muscles tired. Looking forward to her meditation classes too :) read more

I have to say I was incredibly nervous when I heard that Dr. Sean was leaving Backbenders. I'd been going to him for almost 2 years and I loved his no nonsense approach and his sense of humor. Who could have imagined that Dr. Betty could surpass my expectations? I sustained injuries while training for the L.A. Marathon and she gave me practical advice on stretches, at home therapies as well as in-office, intense (read torture session) therapy. If it weren't for her help, I would have given up on my dream of completing a marathon. On top of the great work Dr. Betty does, the entire staff is laid back, personable and friendly. read more

So last week was the first time I have ever been to a chiropractor...dr Betty was recommended to me by a coworker. OMG, first-the office is very cute and comfortable, second-they take my insurance, third-and most important-dr Betty is amazing! She listened to my problem, knew exactly what was wrong with me and took her time to make sure I was gonna get the best treatment. That night I have never slept so good in my life!!!! Today I saw Dena for a massage to target my problem and she is just as amazing!!!! Thank you guys so much for helping me feel better... I am looking forward to my next appointment!!!!! read more

I take a pounding on the soccer field all year long and I know I can count on Lulu to massage out all my sore muscles. She is fantastic and knows how to get to all my tight spots. read more

Dr. Betty and LuLu changed my life. I've had lower back pain for over 10 years and was getting injections, surgery and physical therapy with no real improvement. I was just about to get serious back surgery when a friend recommended I see a chiropractor first. I found Dr. Betty on Yelp and I'm so glad I did. Between the adjustments from Dr. B and the amazing massages from LuLu, I am now not only pain free, but I've started running again! I also just go into a car accident this past week, I knew I had to see Dr. B and LuLu right away. I have no lingering pain from the accident and I'm ready to go. Go online, book your appointment, you can always get in and you never have to wait in the office. They are all so nice and caring. You can't go wrong seeing Back Benders! Seriously, go now! read more

Why are there not more places that combine Chiro, pilates and massage?! It's genius and all of the service providers are incredible. Dr. Betty and Kim are amazing. So grateful to have found this spot. read more

Dr. Betty and her team are fantastic! I sought treatment because I had pain in my upper back and couldn't get it to go away with stretches or rest. Dr. Betty had me nearly pain-free in 3 or 4 sessions and more importantly gave me a series of stretches and other techniques I have used to avoid the same pain. I would enthusiastically recommend Back Benders to anyone looking to feel their best. read more

Amazing. I have gone to many chiropractors, and have had the best experience, by far, with Dr. Betty. She was very thorough, as she assessed my issues, and spent as much time as needed to figure out the cause of my pain. She was gentle, yet aggressive when needed during treatment. I especially loved how she focused on prevention and maintenance, offering options for me to do at home, rather than pushing me to come in for adjustments multiple times a week, as most do. I felt a genuine care and concern for my well being, and most importantly, pain relief after only a few sessions, along with following a stretching regiment as recommended. I have made them a regular part of my wellness program. read more

I am 8 months pregnant and my back goes out all the time. To top it off I get really bad headaches. This is not obstacle for Dr. Betty. She is wonderful. She is willing to work with me and my huge belly and does not let me leave until I fell 100% better. I signed up for monthly check ups so I will always feel great and the price is right! read more

I have been teaching aerobics for 18 years and developed horrible foot/heel pain and Dr. Betty really took care of me. She was very thorough, adjusted my back as well as took care of my feet! She is definitly the best chiropractor that I have been to! I recommend her to anyone that needs an adjustment or pain relief!!! read more

I started going here for chiropractic adjustments last year when I threw out my hip after a kickboxing class. It felt as though I had a baseball wedged in my side and it hurt to sit and move side to side. Dr. Betty is very attentive to detail and takes her time which makes all the difference. My back felt a lot better the next day and whenever I need routine adjustments I come here. Also, when I am able to I love to get a 1 hour massage by Dena followed by an adjustment. This place is great and I highly recommend it! read more

The Healing Energy Massage is by far the best massage I have ever had. My body was completely pain free at the end of the massage. This is the only way to explain it. It's something you have to experience. Thank you Dena! read more

Nice little place. Teachers are awesome. Very cozy and they really know how to tailor to your needs!

Back Benders is a slice of sanctuary where you feel welcomed (Vanessa's friendly front desk smile) & taken care of. When the Zen music or birdsong soundtrack is on, I have practically fallen asleep while under the heating pack. Dr. Betty administers different treatments based on how you are feeling that day. Dr. Betty really listens to what particularly ails you that day. I have received a variety of treatments from heat packs, to e-stim, to trigger point therapy, as a precursor to the chiropractic adjustment. Dr. Betty is knowledgeable, prescribing appropriate stretches to help strengthen/alleviate problem areas. They are so understanding and practically bend over backwards trying to accommodate your schedule. You never have to wait if you have an appointment. What's awesome are their very reasonable prices! I highly recommend Back Benders to anyone who has any aches or pain. Dr. Betty and Lulu, the massage therapist/Pilates instructor, will fix you right up. read more
