This is our second visit but our first to their new location. If you're ok with sharing your dining experience with their manager who happens to be a . :) Yup a cute little dog joins you for your dining experience. Sometimes it may take a while for your food but that's only because it's a real neighborhood spot... young students and family helping out. If you can chill (smoke a joint before you enter) and relax you are guaranteed a great meal!!! Give them a chance to get all the kinks out of the service or not because the food and energy is on point! Grilled Romaine Salad (not pictured) Grilled Fish Seafood Salad Wine Vodka All excellent!!!!

LOVE this place! My parents and I were in the area last year and decided to look for an Italian restaurant. Bacio had high ratings so we decided to go and ended up loving our meal. We were back in the area again this year and wanted to eat there again. We realized that the old location closed (Mt. Airy) and there was a new location on Bethlehem Pike. My only complaint is that the restaurant needs to figure out a way to correct the location. When we put in the address, the GPS took us about a mile past the restaurant and we ended up having to call the restaurant and ask for directions. The best part--DINNER! Dinner was fantastic. We loved the fact that its BYOB. For dinner, we split two appetizers and a couple of pasta dishes. The calamari was so fresh and not overly fried or breaded and the sweet potato gnocchi had so much flavor with the cream sauce on top. Our entrees included Veal Ravioli, Crab & Linguine w/ a Diavlo sauce, and Pappardelle w/ Mushrooms and a cream sauce. We had a wonderful night and we can't wait to visit agian next year!

Bacio is back! We loved dining at Bacio in Mt. Airy for years and now with their new location in Flourtown they are dishing up their delicious plates again! Our favorites are the Linguini puttanesca, Mushroom Pappardelle and Sweet Potato gnocchi! Excited for their expanded dining room and new location!

Can't review the food, because I never got mine... we left after 2 hours of excuses and never an apology from the server. Won't be back.

Is Bacio BYOB or liquor license?

We brought our own, but they have PA wine also. There was no corkage charge for our own bottles.

The restaurant has a new menu daily. I met the owner, he is very friendly. He does meet each patron. The drinks they have are Italian based. I ordered the rigatoni alla Monzese and we also had garlic bread. We also ordered Italian ice tea. All the food was delicious. I would eat again at this restaurant. Highly recommend.

If none of those appeal to you, your only alternative is to choose a pasta with a standard sugo (tomato sauce). There are also a couple of sandwich options, but those are limited as well. There's little to no flexibility--if it's not on the menu, they're not likely to accommodate substitutions or custom requests. That said, the two young men I encountered were both professional and not snarky at all in relaying the limitations. It was what it was. I went with rigatoni in sugo, topped with grated Parmesan. The pasta was excellent--perfectly al dente, and the sauce had great flavor and consistency. Authentic and well-prepared. That said, the downsides are hard to ignore. The portion was relatively small, and with a bottle of Italian soda, the total came to $22.58--closer to $30 with tip. There's also no complimentary bread. Focaccia is available for $5, but it didn't look particularly appealing (a bit dark and overly crisp), though I didn't try it. Pros: * Delicious, authentic Italian pasta * Perfect texture and well-balanced sauce * Clean, attractive trattoria setting Cons: * Very limited menu (pasta and a few sandwiches) * No customization or flexibility * Price feels high for the portion size * No complimentary bread Overall, a tasty experience, but the limited menu and value may not work for everyone.

Unless you are into the fine art of flavored pastas, you could very easily walk by this cubby hole…read morein the farmer's market, no glitz or glamour here, just bags and bags of exquisite artisanal pastas. You've all probably sampled this pasta at one point or another as they are this nation's supplier for fine restaurants, hotels and resorts since 1984. The only way to purchase it for your own home use is to visit them on line or to find a location inside of a farmer's market or a gourmet specialty food shop. They have over one hundred different dried pastas, raviolis, pesto, sauces, oils all made the traditional way that Italy has been doing for years. The flavors conjure up images of the best pasta salads you will ever make with flavors like basil garlic, lemon parsley, southwestern, calypso and tomato basil. So many more, even chocolate and fruit flavors, hello kids of all ages! The lasagna sheets, I have never seen this before, flavored sheets of trio peppercorn, spinach garlic and roasted red pepper, now that has to be good! The flat cut noodles are too numerous to mention, but there has to be thirty different flavors, a few of them are basil tangerine, chipolte pepper, dark chocolate, curry, orange Szechwan, spicy red hot Thai curry and Venetian calamari, okay that was more than a few, but I get so excited. They have healthy pastas of whole wheat and more, even gluten free pastas. The selection of orzo is amazing and I did go a bit over board in buying, but hey my pantry is well stocked. Did you know that the lasagna noodle was the first noodle to ever be made, according to food historians. The thick noodle was laid out in the hot Mediterranean sun to dry and the edges would curl while drying. From what I have found so far, the flavors do come out in your dish of the pasta you have made, although a contradicting sauce can enhance or completely take away from it. I need to remember to balance the flavors as I make more. Their website also offers recipes, as I have just found out, so this could be great fun... As hubby is running away. For the orzo, which is delicate anyway even though these flavors scream at you like the sweet potato or the supreme which is porcini mushrooms, roasted pepper and saffron. I am anxious to try the autumn orzo which is sage, pumpkin and chestnut, hubby says yuck, blah, blah, blah. Anyway I am making the lime cilantro linguine tonight and tossing it with tomatoes, peppers, onions, red pepper flakes, olive oil and sauteed shrimp, then tossing in some feta. If he doesn't like it, he can have a grilled cheese or go to bed hungry.
