Fraggola (strawberry), and pistachio
Jonathan P.

Love that that opened one in this plaza! The place has a good amount of seating, the inside is very well lit, and the employees are very efficient in serving, as well as providing everyone with the opportunity to sample flavors. Also, huge kudos to their hours usually staying open until 10pm! Tried pistachio, peanut butter chocolate, and salted caramel. Will definitely be back!

This location is at Bella Terra. I stumbled upon it after having lunch nearby. I'm willing to pay a little more to get the very best and the gelato they serve here is undoubtedly the best of the best. They have quite a few flavors but I forgot to count; at least a dozen were available. They have cones and cups, the latter have three sizes. I got a small cup which allowed me two flavor scoops. I chose stracciatella and salted caramel. There have a few outdoor tables (no thanks on this 100 degree day) and a good amount of comfortable indoor seating. Both flavors were rich and creamy. The stracciatella had plenty of tiny chocolate chips and the salted caramel had a glob of caramel within it. I love that the flavors are bold. My experience with caramel ice cream usually ends up with muted flavor but here it was robust. The ratio of salty and sweet in the salted caramel was impeccable. The cream flavor of the stracciatella was perfect. In my book, gelato doesn't get any better than this.

I've known about Bacio di Latte gelato for a little while now and I've been wanting to try it out. However, I don't often go to the Bella Terra shopping mall in Huntington Beach where the nearest location is. But today, it happens to be that I was in the area so I decided to go and get my dessert there. There's lots of parking in front of the Store, but it is a very busy shopping center. So, sometime you have to drive around a little before finding parking. Especially on a holiday weekend. The interior of the store is modern, Bright and feels very classy. There are approximately 4 to 5 small tables inside. There are also a couple of tables out front. And there is more scattered seating in the shopping center. They offer some great gelato flavors. Please see the full flavor menu in attached pictures. They also offer free sampling of any flavor. I had a small cup with two flavors. One called the Crema Torino. they describe it as a full hazelnut experience. The second flavor was the peanut butter caramel chocolate. The gelato was rich in flavor with a smooth, stretchy and creamy texture. Both flavors were really delicious. The small cup called Picolo with up to two flavors was $7.95. The store had a good energy to it and the service was good. They have lots of locations throughout southern CA. I recommend giving them a try.

Finally got to enjoy gelato before the end of summer. Before even entering the doors, the sweet fragrance of warm waffle outside filled the air. Inside there was a line that later extended all the way to the parking lot. Menu variety included w cups, waffle cones, affogato, gelato, and sorbets. Such a great variety of gelatos and sorbet flavors to choose from. Tried a few before settling on chocolate pistachio crunch. Absolutely delicious, with balanced sweetness and a special crunch. A little pricey but worth it!

I finally tried out this place with a friend that I heard about. It's a cafe style ice cream shop with seats on the inside. The decor is simple and nice. I got the regular size cup with 3 flavors (cookie and cream, pistachio, and bacio di latte [sweet]). The gelato flavors were strong and smooth. As someone who likes cookie and cream, the cookie and cream flavor here was 1 of the best that I tasted. The service was orderly and hospitable from my experience. There was a long line out the door from when I went, but that is to be expected from a popular gelato business, especially on a labor day weekend. Please enjoy your time here. Ice cream is made to be enjoyed slowly. When people talk about "La dolce vita", this is it. 1 type of moment.

New gelato shop in beautiful Bella Terra! After seeing the sign of what was coming, was so excited when it finally opened, because you know gelato is always a good idea :) So here are a few things to keep in mind: Delicious- yes Pricey- yes Variety - yes Parking- no, well yes, but so hard to find Busy - always, line every time Worth it? - of course Try it, you'll love it

I went to the store hoping to try a few flavors before deciding which one I liked best. Unfortunately, the staff member, Mathew, gave me a really bad attitude. He was rude, kept giving me side-eyes, and made me feel very unwelcome. The final straw was when he snatched the glass out of my hand and asked me for the size in a very rude manner. At that point, I decided to leave. Customer service matters, and this experience was extremely disappointing. I won't be coming back because of that attitude.

Since my birthday month just passed, I decided to sign up for all the birthday perks/giveaways. Unfortunately, I signed up a little too late, so I couldn't use my perk right away. Make sure you do it well in advance to get $5 off. The gelato shop is located in the Bella Terra shopping center in Huntington Beach. Parking can get a bit hectic since the center is always busy with people shopping and dining. Also, the shop itself is a bit small, but enough seating to dine in. The day we came in was during a weeknight; it was really busy, and the line was out the door. Unfortunately, the girl serving us was very flustered and annoyed, so the service wasn't too great. The gelato itself was pretty yummy and had some unique flavors, so I definitely want to try it again, but definitely at a different location.

Love it. Cookies and cream on top. Blueberry ricotta on the bottom

Loved it. New gelato spot at Bella Terra. Got some samples and settled on cookies and cream and ricotta blueberry on a cone. Loved both flavors. Not too sweet. Very easy to eat. Cone was good also. Tasted fresh. Great gelato If you love gelato. Do yourself a favor and try Bacio di latte

had to come try their new cookie & gelato variations! they have 2 of their own pre made but if you want to DIY it they also have a brownie as an option! and they warm it up for you! service was quick, efficient and the girl helping us out was very sweet! this location is probably the 2nd biggest i've seen in socal! and they have a few outdoor seating as well!

Line on a Sunday night. Moves quickly.

Yayyyyy, bacio di latte opened up in Bella Terra so it's much closer and convenient. No need to go to Irvine or Newport. The store is very cute with plenty of seats both indoor and outdoor. We came on a Sunday evening and there was a line out the door but it moves quickly as there were about 5-6 people working the counter. They offer samples if you're unsure of what you want. The piccolo (small) cup is plenty for me as you can choose 2 different flavors. I went with the pistachio and strawberry cheesecake. Both were so good! But pistachio is my personal favorite. One star deducted because service was very mid and inconsistent. Waiting in line means I had the time to observe and I noticed mostly the girls were the ones smiling and being welcoming while the guys were not as enthusiastic. I watched one male employee kind of stood back after he served one party and had his coworkers continue to serve other parties before he continue to do his job. Lazy lol. Overall, I would be back if I'm in the area and feeling a sweet treat!

I came here with my best friend and my pup. We weren't particularly impressed with this location. Here's what went wrong during our visit: 1. One of the gals had a major attitude and gave us dirty looks because we requested samples of the same flavors. It was as if she expected us to share from the same sample spoon! My friend and I like the same things, so we both wanted to sample the various flavors. The first person would get a decent sized sample, while the second person would get 1/4 the sample size. She haphazardly handed us a sample, dropped it, and rolled her big eyes. No apologies. 2. The gal with the attitude was in charge of my friend's order and barely filled her cup. I had another gal prepare my cup and my got at least 1/4 more. We didn't appreciate the attitude and inconsistency in serving size. 3. The gelato was very soft, so some adjustment is needed to their freezer temperature. What we got was melted gelato that we had to drink. We've been to their other location, so there are no plans to come back here, not after the rude service! Great that it's pet friendly but this is a hard pass.

Stopped in at the "new" Bella Terra location late on a Wednesday night and there was still a decent little line, even close to 10 PM. I got a fresh waffle cone with Buttercream Pretzel and Peanut Butter Caramel Chocolate. Both were delicious. Super creamy, rich, and full of flavor. I really like ice cream that has crispy and chewy things mixed into it, and these had a great combination of both. I was hoping to try the Stracciatella, but they didn't have it at this location tonight. I think it may only be at Newport Beach or some of their other stores. Still, I'm glad I tried these flavors because they were both really good. The waffle cone was fresh and crisp and went perfectly with the extra creamy gelato-style ice cream. I also tried the chocolate chip cookie. I'm a pretty big chocolate chip cookie aficionado, and this one was different from the thick cookies you see everywhere now. It was really thin, buttery, and very crispy. If you like a thin crispy cookie, this is definitely worth trying. You could really taste the butter in it. It was a little pricey at $6.95 for such a thin cookie, but I'd consider it one of those decadent treats you get when you want something extra good. Nice little corner location at Bella Terra, clean inside, decent service, and a fun late-night stop. Definitely recommend it and I'll be back.

I saw the line out the door and thought it must be good especially since they have other locations in Southern California. I tried their 4 scoop sampler with the non dairy coffee ice cream, butter pecan, mocha almond fudge and strawberry cheesecake. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because the mocha almond fudge was good, creamy, chocolatey with a smooth consistency. The staff were super friendly and the place was clean, like spotless. That's where the positives end. The non dairy coffee scoop tasted like the just froze some old coffee, it was bitter and I spit it out. The strawberry cheesecake had weird squares of what I assume was supposed to be cheesecake but tasted more like a gummy with artificial flavoring, those two scoops were thrown out. The butter pecan I finished but it was too sweet, something I'd never thought I'd say, and it melted almost immediately in the 80+ degree heat into sugar water with a piece of pecan in it. As mentioned before the mocha almond fudge was pretty good, perhaps people get that flavor and that's why the line was out the door. I saw some people get shakes so maybe those are better, but I won't be coming back to give it a shot. Cold stone, Mr. Softee, Rori's, McDonald's, Dairy Queen, etc etc all offer better ice cream options. That's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.

They must use really good ingredients for their ice cream, doesn't feel like a lot of processed stuff. The ice cream was melting as expected and I didn't feel terrible after eating one by myself. It was just refreshing and joyful. They are located on the southern most side of Pacific City. It's rather tucked away. Once you reach the end of the plaza, go in the building and they are immediately to your left. Staff are friendly. Place is clean. They have a lot of flavors, but sadly you need to buy it to try it. I was disappointed, of course, because some flavors seemed really interesting, but I don't dare try something different if in case I end up not liking enough to regret it. There was another ice cream place up north that had the same policy, but they are so confident about the flavors and quality that they will replace your order completely should you not like it. I don't think this place has that kind of policy, which would discourage me from choosing this place compared to their chain competitor just a block away. Maybe there could be a compromise like, try up to 3 flavors only. That way, I can try three new unique flavors but if I really didn't like them I could still have a great experience with a tried and true favorite. Hope the owner seriously considers this because I think they are great and I want them to thrive! Another great thing about this place is that It isn't a big chain and mass produced. It feels personal and feels very special. I admire people who have such a passion for the craft that they invest in it with time and money, so let's support! Especially when the ice cream is this good.
